Height probably. My height preference is specific now and I actually first liked shorter guys but kept having bad experiences with them. Tall men just appreciate me more. What I look for in terms of personality is also more clear to me. I have mostly dated guys who are slightly introverted but always kept thinking I needed an extrovert... now realizing my romantic match is probably a "social introvert" type of guy. The guy who needs a lot of attention from everyone isn't my romantic match. And I…

Why are women such assholes. The second I find out a guy has a girlfriend, I back off completely or make it known i'm not into him like that. Why do other women not do this?!

Ngl, I like above average for height, income, looks, fitness, intelligence, communication, emotional awareness and character. Not even gonna pretend otherwise. I'm also above average in these things though. I don't care about "status" in the material sense, nor about celebs nor flashy cars. I don't need him to be rich nor mega hot but I have to find him attractive and feel like I'm with someone around the same looks level as me. It sounds shallow but it isn't. I've had men try to break up my rel…

Exactly this. I'm a happy person on my own. I won't get with a guy who brings that down.

Yep. Have you noticed that only men who do stuff like this have a problem with women being empowered? I'm all for us maintaining our femininity. I like masculine men. I don't wanna act like a dude and I'd love to have a man take care of certain needs. But I want an education, to have my own opinions, to make my own choices. This only ever threatens misogynistic men. They think women feeling empowered to be their own person is a bad thing. It has nothing to do with not wanting to offer financial …

They're open to dating a woman who values herself less and is willing to be manipulated/told what to do. It has nothing to do with Asianness. Honestly most Asian women I see with white guys aren't even pretty. The prettiest ones are usually with hapa or Asian guys. See Aja Dang. The Asian guy thing is different and has a different history. Asian men have been put down on purpose by white men. This is why I love guys like Simu Liu.

Same. I have compassion for her, actually.

Right? Thank you for pointing this out. Eastern women are actually way more upfront about what they value and I don't even hate them for it. I have kind of traditional values too. But people thinking Western women are worse? I mean in one sense it's true (promiscuity wise but men are also guilty of it) but otherwise, women are the same. Trust me.

I'm good at reading people's body language. She isn't actually into him. I'd feel bad for him but he's using her so I don't care. Go girl lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 11:09 PM

She's not beautiful or "hot" really, she's just very thin and she's wearing makeup to appear that way. I don't mean to be hateful but let's be real. If she's actually in her 20s and this is the best she's ever gonna look... she's not that attractive. I'm a woman and I hate these relationships but I actually get the appeal on both sides. She's probably another self-hating Asian girl who wants whiter babies so she benefits too. Sad but true.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 11:07 PM
1

She is by no means beautiful lol, she's actually facially not very pretty. He seems to just want a tiny woman and that's fine I guess? In these kinds of relationships, the women is rarely very pretty. She's just skinnier. Oh yeah, white women do this shit too. Thank you for calling this out. Men do it more though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 11:05 PM

Ok but observe her micro-expressions. She's not happy about it. She looks repulsed as she pretends to flirt with him. Y'all are too gullible. I feel bad for women abroad. They're basically not appreciated for anything besides just bowing down to gross older men. Also kind of confused that being really short is more desirable. I'm about 5'4/5'5 myself so I'm not tall but I would have thought being really short is unattractive. I rarely see really short women and think "she's hot".

I'll be honest. I'm a woman who has a career but it's because I had to. I was brought up to be independent. My parents were extremely, extremely clear that they wanted us (their daughters) to be as educated as their son (if not even more so lol, they tried to push me very hard to be of the highest career). It was ingrained in me that I had to do all of this. Modern society has also encouraged me to have my own thing and to be "independent". But my dream life? I'm married to a kind man I'm attrac…

I don't think it matters. People should be allowed to prefer a straight partner if they are straight themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 06:05 PM

Some of us are looking for someone of a similar orientation to us. For ex, I know bi people who prefer other bi people. I know people who prefer fellow LGBTQs in general because it's easier for them. I see people stigmatizing straight people who want fellow straight people though? Women who aren't OK with bi men are especially given a hard time.

We were not sober, we were tipsy. Honesty is the only policy when I'm tipsy lol. And it wasn't "not tactful", it was merely, "yes I have exes above 6'" not "I PREFER MEN WHO ARE TALL, SUCKER". There is a difference. Don't ask questions you aren't prepared to get answers for.

Honestly after dating my ex, and seeing how many women didn’t care that he had a gf (and he also mentioned that he hadn’t gotten approached as much before being with me and even he felt like it was women trying to compete with me, and his exes before were plain at best) and shot their shot, I don’t believe this. It’s also what gave me the push to be more assertive now in showing my interest. Other women don’t even seem to have morals half of the time lol, I’ll have to suck it up and at least smi…

Yeah there are for sure women who want this! I’ve had friends who prefer a bi dude. I’ve briefly dated bi men and it isn’t for me. Not sure why it’s considered wrong to not be into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 01:40 AM

Not true. Masculine women prefer docile/submissive men. Women who claim they want a masculine man are probably in their masculine without wanting to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 01:38 AM

It works obviously. My sister is feminine looking but very masculine to the core, and her husband is masculine looking but more feminine in behavior. What ever works for people. I’m assertive and strong but I lean more feminine. I prefer men who lean more masculine but are in touch with their feminine too.

Yeah honestly I don’t see myself as Demi or Sapio. I think personality absolutely matters for a serious relationship, but I can be attracted to a guy based of looks or energy/sex appeal alone. It’s just chemistry. Personality can repulse me though. I couldn’t be serious with a guy whose personality sucked. I like masculine men though so even the best looking pretty boy likely won’t stir up strong attraction in me.

I agree but men would freak the fuck out if women were completely honest. I’ve told men exactly what I like. The ones who feel they fit my criteria are happy to hear it but the ones who don’t get very angry. I had a crush on this guy who was 5’8, all the other women liked him, he was beautiful. He demanded to know if I dated tall guys and I said yes most of my exes were tall, and he proceeded to neg me for the rest of the night lol. I had simply answered a question honestly. Hahaha that’s how I first saw my last three exes! Purely as sex material. Even the guy I’m seeing now, I feel the same way except he’s making his husband-like qualities very apparent very quickly. I lead with sexual attraction lol. I just keep happening to pick men who also seem to want a wife. Like I’ve had multiple men talk to me about being serious within a month or two of knowing them. Either that or I keep picking men who are more sensitive than me.

I was never into bad boys but… probably because I never liked a lack of morals. I’ve always been into guys who are morally good. I saw promiscuity as bad so anything to do with that seemed cliche. I grew up in an area where that kind of thing was so common that I rebelled. I also saw guys like that as losers lol. That said, despite not being a party girl and not promiscuous at all, I was kind of a “bad girl” so maybe it was just a balance thing. Like I’ve always had edge and been a bit spicy and…

I like men 5’10 and up. For many reasons. The hardest crushes I’ve ever had were on guys around 5’8 but for other reasons (their insecurity mainly), that didn’t work. My best relationships have been with taller men for many reasons I won’t get into but I have my theories. I actually never even cared about height until I kept having bad experiences with men who were under 5’10. I have a friend who's 6' and I'm 5'4. I'd say I generally have it easier if we just mean height-wise strictly. I don't think there's any way to argue with that. Men who actively prefer a 6' women are more rare... I've dated a lot of super tall men who aren't even into that. That’s really not true. We’re constantly fed the message that we don’t care about looks and a man can win us over after constantly pestering us even if we aren’t interested initially. Women generally desiring tall men is a thing that’s been a thing in some parts of the world for a long time… I think men are aware, just like women know men like attractive women. So, for ex... let's say I have a tough day at work. I shouldn't spend an hour venting to my partner. The best thing to do in that scenario is to work on feeling my emotions about the day, cry if I have to, remind myself it will all be OK because ultimately it's just one bad work day, and then if I need to go for a walk or workout to get my frustration out, do that, then talk to my partner later after that and just say "today was hard.. this happened at work" and express it was hard for me but no…

No that's not what I meant at all. I absolutely want to be there for my partner on an emotional level and I want the same in return. What I was saying is that there is emotional support and then there's being someone's emotional punching bag or therapist. There is a difference. If you don't know what the difference is, tell me.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/23 11:54 PM
1

oh. ok so no. Healthy adults work through their emotions by self-soothing, going to therapy, meditating, working out, talking it out with people (but not projecting all their emotions everywhere). Partners should mutually be there to listen to each other but ultimately, a man needs to self-regulate just as a woman should. Your partner is support but you don't want to be co-dependent. Let down your walls by talking about how you feel but don't expect your partner to be your emotional caretaker ei…

I mean the reality is that it’s true. Whenever we see men with certain women, we assume this is what it is. The guy can’t be upset about it. He chose it. Just like when I see men with Asian women, I often assume he likes to be worshipped and can’t find another woman.

100%! If these men even knew the men I've had approach me at events and show interest.. Tom Brady wouldn't even be top 5. But they project and think all women here are undesirable like they are.

Yeah it's different if the woman just stays home and does the domestic stuff and is just willing to listen, but I think being willing to listen is something both parties should do and within reason. We all have different personalities too. Maybe I just come off as more dominant (and plenty of men enjoy that lol) even though I really would love to meet a man I can respect and listen and have him lead things more. What does "submissive housewife" even mean? Like a woman with no opinions of her own or what? Or she pretends not to? Or is she just dumb? I remember being 25ish and wanting a "strong husband" and to be a SAHM etc but lol I am way too opinionated and smart to pretend I agree with my husband if he's being dumb. If you haven't aged super well (which, most of you don't, that's just the truth) to the point where you look 5+ years younger, and if you aren't earning 6 figures, and if you aren't really fun to be around and in great shape, I think it tapers off after 30. Even more so by 35. For guys who are tall, attractive, in-shape, well-earning, well-educated, they have more time. For them I think it's about 35ish then it starts to taper off a bit. Granted, he's probably better looking than most guys/all guys who post in here so there's that. It's not all about race. A lot of women of my background prefer to stick within the same background. I think this is a big factor to consider. If you can't really attract people you're into/attracted to, I think there's something to uncover there. Some people do genuinely only go for people who aren't really going to be into them. But his parents are religious and that explains a lot.

I actually was a virgin for the longest time (way longer than most women now) and wanted to be a bit traditional, but there aren't actually many decent, good, traditional men either. At least not where I lived. Men also don't earn enough to be traditional most of the time, that's just the reality of things. A lot of them also don't want to be truly traditional in the ways they'd be expected to be. Most men just simply don't even qualify. Anyway, I pivoted my focus to just becoming well off on my…

Well, if you're an old man, why do you think young women are in your pool anyway? They aren't. What is the horrendous thing about dating someone your own age? Men are truly sociopaths if they feel that women their own age are not valuable/worth pursuing. I hope you all recognize that all of that stuff those men preach is sociopathic.

Yeah my ex's uncle had a SEA wife and it was not generally praised. He was known to be kind of an idiot who didn't do much with his life and didn't even really connect with her. She barely even spoke English. It's weird to me to see men praise these relationships... women are just taking notes lol. We tend to exclude these men from our dating pools. It's like a vicious circle for them, they don't even realize it.

I didn't say all Asian women are white worshippers. I was referring to the ones who are white worshippers. But I've also had plenty of Asians tell me that all the adverts in their countries are of white people, that they felt pressure to look more white, etc.. they tell me this themselves. I think it's a well-known thing. Anyone who says otherwise is just being PC/willfully naive.

I was of the mindset that it's always wrong to cheat, and I would say in terms of relationships, I lean conservative. So this is accurate. Now that I see more nuance in life, I can say there could be circumstances that make it less "wrong". For ex, a woman being abused by her spouse who then cheats (emotionally, for ex) with someone who's there to keep her safe, I am not judging that. But for most scenarios, I do think cheating is wrong for both parties.

Hmm I don't know. I don't pine after any ex of mine, but I also broke up with them. I've had an ex or two be "alpha" on paper like men claim but let's be real, the guy was no actual alpha. Checking off boxes doesn't make someone an amazing person nor the best person for you. I haven't had many exes nor have I been intimate with most of them, so there's also that. I guess it depends on the scenario and the woman. If a woman was with a celebrity who's amazing and attractive, that might differ. But…

I don't think it's fair to say the Swedish women are "hotter". Beautiful women exist everywhere and I've seen plenty of unattractive European women. The point is that Swedish women have more opportunity and don't care if ugly Swedish men leave to find a wife. A lot of Swedish women like to date non-Swedish guys anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 07:57 PM

This is a fair point. Attractive women are everywhere. i think the issue is that a lot of these men aren't even with the attractive ones (but to be fair, a lot of the men are ugly in these scenarios) and we know it's a power thing. If I find out a guy has mostly dated Asian women, it's immediately a turn off. I don't think men realize they're shooting themselves in the foot with this. IDK people are nuanced. Plenty of men don't care about that or overlook it... I've seen who men go for. You can't tell me they're all picky/specific about it. In the east as well. I don't think you guys understand how similar the east and west are nowadays, save for rural communities.

This is a really disgusting, ugly comment. Reflect on yourself. It's been proven that sexual assault leads men and women to behaving in a promiscuous way, after the fact.

I think this is a fair point but I mostly see this on the internet. In real life settings, my friends almost never complain about being approached, but I'm Canadian and I'm from a city where men really don't approach at all. I remember being in my early 20s and back then, men still approached but it was always very subtle compared to what people describe on the internet. It was always in the utmost respectful way (usually) but that's just in my city. If I were to go to a bigger Canadian city, it…

I'm a single woman and I never understand when people say "single women are the happiest". I do think it's true in some ways, like being at peace and not having to pick up the slack (mental load and all)... that's true. Plus, some more old school men never learned how to cook or clean, and I personally don't wanna do that for someone. You can go find your wife in SEA if that's what your #1 priority is and you don't wanna learn. Personally, my issue is not being able to find men to commit to me, …

I mean, white beauty standards are all over the media and places, and it's brainwashed people. So it's not surprising if white men don't desire that, but also.. don't they marry out more than any other group? And don't white women often try to look different? I've seen so many white girls try to look vaguely ethnically ambiguous.

When people are talking about "Western" women, do they mean white women? Because the way people here talk about women, it's mostly the way I see white girls behave, not the rest. I mean yes, you have women of other backgrounds who do similar things, but in my life, I have never met more entitled women than white women. I've heard and seen my white female friends do everything white men do, they're no different. They sleep around, they expect a lot more than they want to give, they talk down abou…

I would hope they wanted me for me, not my height lol. I think the point is, the men I've dated were desirable and liked by other women. They chose to date only shorter but of course only the ones they liked. You dated a 6' woman? I think that alone makes you in the very tiny minority of men. You're telling me I'm creating patterns but yours seems waaaaay more out of whack. It's fine if you prefer tall women but don't speak on behalf of all tall men considering your preferences are clearly not t…

I mean, men over 6' aren't most men though, so.. yeah technically, they kinda are more scarce unless you're in Europe. And every man I've met who was tall did not like tall women... they were vocal and none of their exes were tall. So maybe this is a cultural thing? I've just generally noticed that tall men don't prefer tall women, but it might be regional. Maybe in some countries, taller women are more desired, but I don't think that's the case here. I've even had tall guys admit they were "sha…

I have met several lol. I'm also 5'4 myself and tall men constantly hit on me in person? I've had mostly/only tall exes and they all only dated women around my height... my ex told me he outright rejected taller women, so did the ex before that. IDK it might be that I have encountered many of these guys because they approach me. Probably a biased perspective but if you're a tall woman then you're perspective is also biased.

But then why are so many of them vocal about how they prefer 5’3-5’5?

I completely disagree. But you’re 6’5, not 6’1 or 6’2. It’s a small difference but it is a difference and most men around 6-6’3 I’ve seen aren’t with tall women. I’ve had plenty of them tell me they aren’t into it. My ex was 6’6 and hated dating tall women, which I still don’t get. He was way too tall for me, as are you.

I disagree. I've dated a man who usually only dated blondes (obv usually fake blondes, most blondes aren't naturally blonde) but he was attracted to me. I have dated men who were attracted to different types but they were attracted to me more or what ever. I fit the Kardashian look (I mean... pre-surgery) more than blonde Barbie look and from 2010-2020 it felt like that was really considered conventionally attractive. Maybe it just allowed men to accept they preferred that more, or maybe some me…

We don't have the draft in my country. Women are also in the military. I mean, what? People do expect us to be good at cooking. I'm also a great cook. Not sure where you were raised but I was raised to know how to cook, clean, do chores, all the feminine things but then also succeed in my education, career, etc. I remember feeling like it was overwhelming. Now I earn more than the average dude is while doing everything in my apartment and I almost never order out. Just on paper, I'm succeeding m…

Exactly this. I feel the same way. I think if a person is able to just sleep with whoever whenever they want, it represents their mindset to a lot of things in life... but namely, the biggest thing of all, which is sharing your body with someone. it blows my mind how casual people are about it. I don't think virginity is a big thing but a person who's slept around without any emotional connections to the people involved, is very much an emotionally disconnected person. I'd have to know they've m…

I couldn't be in a relationship with a man without an emotional connection. I just don't have the tolerance for that... so that isn't true. Do I want a strong and good looking guy? Yeah! lol. He also needs to be emotionally available.

I think the emphasis on money is often because women are taught that love is fleeting and that money/lifestyle lasts longer. I've always gone for love, but I can understand the money thing in a completely logical way. That's what marriage was about in the past... women being taken care of (because women weren't allowed to work) and men were able to get access to domestic care and sex etc. Like a woman's pleasure was secondary back then too. A true, loving, lasting relationship is not super commo…

Same here. While I am pretty sexual, I definitely care about the comfort/ease thing. Enjoying time together, laughing together, being friends who are attracted to each other, basically. And no, I don't like pushover men. I've always been honest about that. I like a guy with a little bit of an edge to him but that's a bit and that means he's masculine in a way, not that he's an asshole. I actually also have an edge to me (not in a masculine way lol) and by that I mean some spice... so that might …

I'm a woman. It's pretty simple for me - I want a partner who's actually enjoyable to be with, is kind, respectful, has their life together (which I do...), has strengths in areas I'm not as good in and vice versa. And it obviously helps if we're not too far off in terms of education levels, upbringings, stuff like that. They don't need to be my twin and honestly in some aspects I prefer someone a bit different (not completely different, just enough that it's interesting)... and they need to kno…

Thanks! Yeah I actually think my issue is I need to be around more men/in situations where men actually are. I've said this elsewhere but if I just go out to a store or a coffee shop or the gym, there's usually an attractive guy who approaches, looks/smiles or something. It's all about being in those situations for longer. Unfortunately, group events/socials seem overly skewed with women... and I'm looking to make a good group of friends but I need a balance.

Yeah I kinda wonder if those men prefer to have someone way less appealing so they feel less worried that woman will cheat on them maybe? My ex used to always be paranoid that men were after me (which is absurd, and was not reality) and told me he felt it was easier in some ways to date someone average or below average. I think it's almost a power thing for them. And yeah I always have men assume I have a boyfriend, which gets a bit annoying. I have to make it clear I'm single. It doesn't help t…

That's assuming all 6'2 men like 5'9 women. A lot of them genuinely prefer shorter than that.

I pretty much only like masculine men. I guess I am 24/7 fertile lol. Feminine-looking men do nothing for me. Masculine doesn't mean "asshole", it just means masculine looking and more confident and comfortable with having some leadership traits. I still prefer someone genuinely kind and respectful. That isn't a "feminine" trait, that's just a "good human being" trait.

I've seen 2 really gorgeous girls (although one of them isn't gorgeous without makeup on...) with super unattractive men (IMO) but they seem to genuinely prefer the guy. Otherwise, same here - I see attractive men with reaaaaally facially unattractive women very often here. Not as many chubby women but like... a 2/10 facially.

No to casual sex. I've never done that. Even my female friends who are cool with that/were cool with it in the past don't do it now because they're seriously looking. Although IDK who told them they could just be casual until almost 40.

I personally want a partner, but there's something off where I live. I see a lot of unattractive women with attractive men where I live. It throws the balance off. This isn't an issue in other places (namely, Western Europe for ex) where I see people more balanced/evenly matched. I have been celibate for ages. I don't do casual, even for dating. Definitely at a loss for what to do. I love my pet but it's a different kind of relationship. I'm still hoping to meet the right guy and I'm sure some m…

Portuguese men are attractive IMO. I didn’t see lots of attractive women but look up Portuguese women and you see basically the beauty standard so idk? Russian men are usually unattractive but the most attractive man I’ve ever met was Russian, so maybe it’s just a case of extremes there.

I’m a woman here and I’ve actually noticed this too. I more often see couples where the guy is actually better looking… kind of a weird one as this isn’t something I’ve seen in other parts of the country. Although I have met a gorgeous woman with a not cute man before and it’s so curious to me given the unattractive women seem to be with hot men?? Like what? That one is so confusing to me. I’ve seen women here I genuinely find unattractive and wonder how. Money maybe?
