24	What petty things became your fault? I had a responsible, respectable career that allowed her to be a stay at home mom, not have to work and provided excellent benefits. 1	Stay away from alcohol I love to drink. I adore not being sober. I drink because I like it. Having said that, I’m order to be a successful long term drinker, I’ve found the following routine to be what works for me. I’m one of the people that inadvertently started dry January in the PNW some ten years or more ago. Not my idea, but I was the first generation of adherents. I stuck with it and expanded it. There is a rule, however that men should follow when dating much younger folks straight or gay: Leave them better than you found them.
