Not about the main point of the article, but I think it's worth noting for one's conception of the past that the "rule of thumb" is and always has been a folk legend. In fact the Wikipedia article you linked to says as much. At no point in Anglo-American law has beating your wife been condoned. The difference is that now we have separate, specific laws (that assume the guilt of the man) that address this while in the past it fell under general assault.

Oh and if you can get into it, meditate to relieve stress. Also joining a sports league if there's a sport you enjoy and are good at, the competition helps, but not everyone has time/the proclivity for these things

This is below below normal, even than the lower modern average testosterone level. Before you try TRT though (I'm personally against taking hormones simply because I'm an athlete and can't) I'd try: Zinc - 100 mg/day for a week, then 50mg maintenance Vitamin K2 - 100-200% RDA/day Vitamin D - 10,000 IU/day for a week, then 5,000 IU maintenance Vitamin B - standard pill, just make sure there's a lot of folic acid Broccoli, cauliflower, and/or spinach - 2 cups/day (fights conversion of Test. to est…

Pierced condoms, restraining order, prison...and all of this doesn't say to you that, looking back, you could have handled this differently? You took a huge risk. She might have become pregnant, she might have physically harmed you. I wouldn't wish that on OP

Dude what no, fuck that that is awful advice. You have to dump her, this whole "using her for blah blah" is just your mind talking you into staying with her. Dump her and break the lease or find a roommate or sublet it. The rent excuse is male hamstering, and you need to surround yourself with positive people you enjoy (not your cheating ex-gf) if you don't want to end up bitter as fuck

Fuckboy is women's attempt at flipping the script. No girl hooks up with a guy repeatedly that they wouldn't also date (but guys of course do this). Saying some dude you're banging is a "fuckboy" is meant to imply that the guy who is using you for sex is beneath you. It helps the woman save face in front of her girlfriends, when really the situation is 99 times out of 100 the exact opposite of what she wants it come off as.

So I think part of it may be due to the fact that testosterone causes the male brain to be more compartmentalized (the average distance between connected neurons is smaller than that for the female brain). The female brain is less modular and more inter-connected. The extreme end of the "male" spectrum leads to the autistic brain, which has an even shorter average distance between connected neurons, and autistic individuals are known for their obsessions so there is likely a connection between t…

Of course not but those are the top dogs. Imagine how you'd feel about CEO of the #2 company in electric cars if you knew the guy was golfing 4 times a week and just didn't give a shit and that's why he was #2. Now imagine how you'd feel about his abilities if you found out he was working even harder than Musk without the same results.

Well done OP, I agree. To the extent that self-confidence is just being proud of yourself, the steps as I see it are: 1) Do something to be proud of 2) Be proud

Yeah, so OP good work you got the W at the end of they day, but any girl that opens you on Tinder is already looking to meet up, you only have to say 4 or 5 non-crazy sentences and she'll agree to meet with you. It could have been a lot simpler than this

The perfect Alpha-Beta combo. Dominant yet sensitive, good-looking tall and rich. Raw physical passion but also an intellectual. Basically just an amalgam of contradictory traits because women want everything.

Was completely with you until you mentioned (I know jokingly) how to signal strength. I think that muscles are in some ways a sign of health and ability to provide food because they require "wasted" calories and metabolic processes
/r/TheRedPill23/08/15 05:04 PM
1

So girls definitely have weird ideas about muscle size. In real life a muscular guy who's been lifting for years but isn't top 5% at the very least won't have problems with girls because of his muscles. But the main factor in real life is that a guy who's 6ft+ and muscular is absolutely going to lord over a room full of smaller guys who don't lift, guys naturally defer to the largest guy in the room. And girls (as you mention) love social value, so they end up making a beeline for that guy, even…

So, surely you've known guys in your life who were short and/or had a weird face but everybody just seemed to love because he was a cool, chill dude. You lump this into social value, and I completely agree with that. ...do you think this guy just woke up one day though and "got it," or that he was born understanding how to get people to really like him? If you want my take: you are here, posting on TRP. You understand that humans are animals, and the number one drive of an animal is to procreate. Bigger than life itself even, as most parents would much rather die than see their child killed. You wrote a long-winded paragraph about whether some 5 was into you. You need to realize that having sex with beautiful women is necessary for a well-adjusted life. Go out there and try your best.

There's no such thing as capital "E" Enlightenment. I can understand why people turn to this, I really can. You start with the Western ethos of achievement and success. Then you either fail to get what you want, or you get what you want and you realize it's never going to be enough to keep you satisfied. So you turn to Eastern mysticism. The only way to satisfy your wants is to want nothing. Here's the problem with that: you can't want nothing. Unless you're a dualist (in which case any conversa…

It's not really "in spite of." The phenomenons are one and the same. Because men have more selective pressure on them, only those who excel in a given area reproduce. Therefore men tend more towards the extremes.

You've put a lot of caveats in here explaining that you realize your behavior was beta, so people aren't coming down on you too harshly for it. But I want you to know that your actions pushed her into the arms of the hippie tattoo artist. Why is this important to remember? Shaming isn't a female game. Shaming is simply applying dishonor. Cowards in battle are shamed, those unable to provide for their families were historically shamed. You can't have honor and approbation without dishonor and shame

Her argument is much more pernicious than it seems, and I think speaks deeply about the direction feminists will take going forward in order to convince men that more and more extreme feminism is needed. Namely, she doesn't just engage in the Apex fallacy, she goes further and says that it its the very fact that these men at the top exist that is oppressing these men lower down on the economic ladder. She claims that these men fuel the archetype of the powerful man, and in so doing keep men from…

What? Also just in reference to your other post, war between tribes likely existed for a million years before the NL rev, since even chimps engage in tribal warfare. "War" exists in any species when adolescent males stay within a tribe and adolescent females find new tribes. This results in the males within a group being closely related, favoring cooperation in-group, and large-scale aggression between groups. You'll just have to trust me that I understand evo psych

I think if you dig into WHY you don't want to date a party girl, you'll realize it's just an extension of the sexual promiscuity argument. Party girls sleep with more guys and put themselves in the sort of compromising, drunk situations that you wouldn't want your GF to put herself into.

Psychologically: women have ONS with guys who are hotter than they can date (because guys will generally fuck girls they wouldn't date). Whereas guys have ONS with girls of lower quality than they'd date (otherwise they'd date them). So girls in relationships who've ridden the cock carousel end up settling, whereas guys still feel lucky with their SO. There's of course also the evolutionary reason that sleeping with many mates helps the man's genes, whereas women should be looking for only the b…

/r/TheRedPill29/04/15 02:23 PM

Dude, you're in your late forties. You're going to have to accept that both you, and your wife, are past your prime. Worrying about her wanting to fuck the hot 20 year old stripper makes about as much sense as her worrying that you want to fuck Kate Upton. Both of those things are natural, and both are happening when hell freezes over. Age gracefully (mentally) and you can be happy together into your 70's, when you'll have come to fully accept this fact of life and aging.

My ex used to call all these guys she knew from her ivy league debate team "assholes." One guy in particular was such as asshole that on one occasion, he showed up at a frat party she was at, and was causing so much trouble for everybody there that she decided the best thing to do was to walk him home. Not even lying, that was how the story was conveyed to me.

/r/TheRedPill28/04/15 04:33 PM

You're only 27. Your environment sounds completely toxic. Go out and find people who are successful and happy in life, and completely restructure your life to spend time with these people. Toxic friends and family members should be cut off or dialed back (still take care of your mother of course, good on you). By the time you're 37, you could be a millionaire living a successful life with a gorgeous, sane wife after having slept with 100 women.

Yes but I think a lot of this is testosterone/cortisol related. The workplace setup puts the body submissive posture: shoulders forward, hunched over looking small, eyes gazing down. Your body starts to think you're a very submissive monkey. There's a TED talk in the hormonal effects posture has on your body. Correct this by maintaining good posture, arms wide and shoulders back, and set up your screen to be looking up or neutral at the screen

It does change gender stereotypes and expectations. So yes, it certainly has affected "straight" culture. Gay men would readily admit that gay culture has bled into the mainstream, for better or worse. In addition, lesbians have always been the most vocal advocates of feminism. Hope this isn't serious. Just ask all the guys in dead bedrooms whose wives used to have wild crazy sex with hot frat boys how that's working for them now. A lot of whether or not sex is good is about passion, not technique. Sex isn't hard you're born to fucking do it. When I first had ice cream as a kid, I was so fucking passionate about it. It might not mean that in her case. I mean, it still could, but generally girls use the "he's such a jerk" thing only on their significant other to try and hide their attraction to other guys in their lives. Especially younger/college girls. The young ones tend to actually think the guy is a jerk in reality, and not consciously connect those feelings with their feelings of attraction for him. Yes, this is Red Pill advice, but it also illustrates a fundamental principle: these people all wished they did things that were hard at the time so that their lives could be easier now. In the past, the things they did were the things that were easy, that felt good. Your brain will always pick the hard but rewarding option for your future self or your past self. It's your present self that's the problem.

A fair and true response if we're looking at the long-term (i.e. 100-200 years from now), and I would even be ok with no legal marriage if there were also no child support and no welfare. I think in practice however that "no marriage" would serve to further normalize in the short and medium term single motherhood, and result in the government stepping in to an even larger extent to provide for children and single mothers, seeing as how women are the bulk of the voting members of society.

I'm not suggesting we latch onto a political movement. I'm suggesting we begin to shape an idea of what society could look like instead of sitting on our hands and complaining about what society currently is.

The analogy of a bubble comes from the financial markets, and I think that similar to the financial markets, bubbles can pop or the landing can be smoothed. Marxism was a failed ideology. As you say, it was based on lies or at least a false understanding of reality. The Misandry Bubble shares this with Marxism. The things we say here are true. People are coming around to this point of view. And there's no reason that we have to sit back and wait until things are even worse to begin to look for t…

I think that traditional marriage (as a legal entity) was a benefit to society, by creating the ideal situation in which to raise children. The lack of a legal contract would foster even more of a come-and-go-as-you-please attitude, which would be bad for children. Children need their fathers. Now, marriage in its current state is fucked up. That's what I want to talk about, is there a way to fix it? I think, looking back on history, there is.

I appreciate the work you put in here with this post, but I have to say that I think this is a mutilation of the word "loyal." The kind of loyalty that we generally are referring to when we say we look up to and admire it, is loyalty to a person or group of people (wife, friends, family, country). With the example of "being loyal" to ones social status or material goods like in the post, we usual call that "being greedy." The attempt here to conflate the two by throwing the word loyal around in …

"Prey on taken women" Listen to yourself man. WOMEN HAVE AGENCY. You are completely accepting the women-as-victims, men-as-predators mentality that women try to get men to believe BECAUSE IT LETS THEM GET AWAY WITH THINGS. The argument "Don't fuck a married woman because her husband might shoot you in the head" does (actually) get a lot of traction in this sub. The argument "Don't fuck a married woman because you shouldn't prey on the weaknesses of women and destroy a family" RIGHTLY DOES NOT! There's no alpha female. There's no beta female either. Women don't naturally provide for or protect men. There are high SMV women, and they are attractive and feminine. This is just female solipsism, women thinking that men want in a mate what women want in a mate. As a consultant myself, that's a fair point. But I would look at it through the lens of making what the person is IMPRESSED by look effortless. If you don't have an answer to the question, "They have access to hot frat boys, why would they want you?" then they're not going to want you. That's the point. Agreed. Evolutionary psychology is really just a fancy term for the idea of genetic adaptations that affect the brain. When we see a physical adaptation, such as the wings of a bird, we have no problem making the conclusion that at some point it was evolutionarily beneficial for such an appendage to develop in the species over time. It's nearly a tautology if you accept evolution. The only reason some people have difficulty accepting the same reasoning when it comes to species-wide behavior (beh…

Women's reproductive value IS higher than a man's. Men are disposable. The few men who are left can repopulate a society devastated by war or famine. But every woman lost vitally reduces a society's ability to continue on. It's evolutionarily programmed that we understand this unconsciously

So there's some confusion in this thread over the terms positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. No. What is meant by "Sexual strategy is amoral" is that sexual strategy is largely zero-sum. You take someone else's girl? His loss, your gain, but at the end of the day there's still only one man with one girl. Another way to think about this is that sex partners are positional goods, that is the value of a sex partner is determined by a rankable social hierarchy. If you drop out, everyone else moved up a spot. If you improve yourself, everyone you've passed moves down a spot. If every man imp…

So, I think this is a more subtle point than generally acknowledged, if of course we're only talking about career ambitions and not what feminism has become. I'd say it has to do with this feminist idea of "having it all," i.e. being a feminine, loving and caring wife and mother, and succeeding in the competitive, emotionally devoid world of business/careers. Success in one domain will necessarily come at the expense of the other domain. And ultimately this comes down to your value as a partner.…

Women who are currently at the bottom want everyone to be equal. McDonald's is at the top. An appropriate analogy would be all the local convenience store owners saying "all businesses are equal" and divvying up the profits of mcdonald's between themselves

I don't hate her. I think she acted the way you would expect a woman in that situation to act. She has achieved what society tells her is "the dream." she's rich and successful as hell. but oops, it turns out this doesn't make her happy. it turns out this is the MALE dream. men in her position have their pick of attractive mates, and the respect and admiration of their colleagues. meanwhile most people treat her politely, but she gets the vague idea most people would rather she just went away. a…

Pussy is definitely the goal of TRP. "Bettering yourself" just means getting better at things that make women want to fuck you, ie career, looks, money, status, dominance. Nobody on TRP advocates becoming a better video gamer or learning how to crochet. Why? Because those things don't get you pussy. Anything who says "I'm not doing this for pussy" is fucking delusional and missing the point of TRP.

Asked for a girls number who was sitting at a table next to me at a restaurant. Fucked her two dates later. She asked if I was always this bold. I said yes. Met another girl who took me back to her place 2nd date and put on lingerie to try and "seduce me." It worked, obviously. Spun two plates for 3 months, then dropped them and got into an LTR with another girl, then dropped that girl and picked up the exact same plates and have been spinning for 4 more months. If you do it right, all girls will want something more serious. You just have to manage expectations, ride it out for as long as it can, and then not care when it inevitably blows up. That doesn't mean you have to turn everything into a one night stand

Yeah, this. "he's married with kids" sounds like a deliberate dodge of the question "are you attracted to him?" It's meant to sounds to you like she is not, but it prevents her from having cognitive dissonance by having to outright lie. This is how most people go about deception.

Yeah but fooling around doesn't usually work like that for women. Usually women having an affair will despise their SO's all the more for it and withdraw further. Women mostly only want the seed of one man at a time, it's an evolutionary strategy to have babies with only the best man available

Exes can't be in the picture. Exes in the picture? Next. Ex spots your girl at the gym? Next. Also she made you play nice with someone she'd fucked. If you laughed at the paragraph above or it made you shake your head and smile, then keep her. Yeah, being in good shape will generally mean your sex performance is better, so that's an improvement you can make potentially. 10 minutes is pretty damn long, doesn't sound like you have a time problem. When people say they had sex for hours or some bullshit they're counting break time between sessions. Most girls can come in 2-5 minutes if you put their legs over your shoulders and ram them. Make sure you turn them on psychologically first and it's easy

Kind of a catch-22 though, because most men just want to be accomplished so they can get girls. And that's the way evolution designed it: the desire to accomplish something helped men get women and reproduce more. It's a feature, not a bug. Cultural desires like becoming a ceo or entrepeneur or whatever else will always be subservient to evolutionary desires.

Not hypocritical at all. Sleeping with me is good, sleeping with other guys is bad. I'm not being sarcastic, almost every animal pack operates on this principle. Guys want to be pack leader. It's the best evolutionary strategy. Should girls want to sleep with multiple guys? No. Their best evolutionary strategy is to pick the highest quality guy and have his children, since they can only have one man's children at a time. Women and men are different. Women have one night stands with guys with higher SMV than the guys they could marry. In general, any girl that would sleep with you casually would also consider dating/marrying you someday. Not so for dudes. Because of this, women have sex with alphas in their youth and then settle. Men never experience this settling and are less likely to be dissatisfied with the quality of their long term partner, because they never experienced better

It comes from a place of great intention, but I honestly wouldn't even say it's admirable. Imagine if your friend bought you all of your drinks all night everytime you went out, and this is a person you genuinely liked. You would want to feel like a good friend and buy him drinks as well. By always buying drinks for your friends you are depriving them of the feeling of contributing to the well-being of the whole that you yourself are after when you buy drinks for your friends. The comment shows that statistics used wrong can be so mesmerizing as to be dangerous. For instance "For example, 20% of all nonfatal injuries to women in 2001 were caused by domestic violence (which is crazy if you think about it...). For men, that number is 3%." When you account for the fact that men MUCH more likely to be injured in general, and five times more likely to be murdered, this contrast doesn't look so stark.

I wanted to think so, but the author of this piece listed too many politically correct "nice guy" traits as attractive. I think if someone was trying to do this as an experiment or to troll, they would include more RP traits in their criteria for guys, since the first article was RP about women and that would be comparing apples to apples. It's no surprise that this article didn't anger anyone, since it portrays the beta fantasy of showing your feminine side and being thoughtful, etc.

There should be many "girl's nights," just not "girl's nights out." The first could involve going to the movies, a girlfriend's house, dinner, checking out a museum, whatever her and her girlfriends do for the enjoyment of the activity and company. The second involves activities that are made for single people, like bars and clubbing. These are terrible places to talk and spend time in the company of friends (for guys, sports bars can be decent places but is your gf into sports? didn't think so)…

Yeah you can definitely be effective! However I'd say to heavily consider the social aspects of homeschooling, it can be hard for these kids to match the social skills of their peers later in life and that might be even more important than math skills. There's a lot you can do as a parent to help your kids deal with the bs of regular school while still working within the existing educational system.

I think if you examine what you're saying you're not disagreeing with me. You say putting in effort, like doing homework, will increase understanding and I agree. But then the thing you should be measuring is the understanding, not the effort, not the homework. Practice makes NBA players better, but in the end you score the game based on who makes more shots, not who practiced more. They're highly correlated, but one is an objective and one is a means.

I took AP and Honors classes in high school, and while I and many of my male peers would routinely blow off homework assignments and hand in sloppy projects, girls just always seemed to take things so seriously. Same was true in college. It's like they don't understand what work is meaningful and what work is busy-work. They treated it all the same. As such my male peers were always the intellectual heavyweights, drove class discussions when anything interesting was discussed, and in college gir…

Dude, studying hard as fuck IS red pill. You're investing in yourself, girls will love you when you make a shit ton of money. Just don't become a beta provide for the wrong girl

Dude you're missing the point. What you need to find is a girl who's hard for other people to fuck but easy for YOU to fuck. If she can keep herself from sleeping with you for a long time, she's probably just not that into you. If in the last she couldn't keep herself from sleeping with others guys all the time, then she'll probably exhibit that behavior again. The girl needs to be super into you. It's not a logical contradiction, people here have said that before.

I'm sure this post is valid and I honestly didn't read it. I just know that every sorority girl in my school uses the word "FOMO." It's a useful concept but I cringe to hear it used here.

Ok, so when this girl wants to get back with you (and she will), you stay a stone cold fucking killer. This bitch is not in love with you, she told you that. She is going to try and make you feel bad, like you are right for each other. DO NOT LISTEN. You gave her the chance and she CHOSE to do what she did. Do not let her tell you she is different. She is the same. There are so many girls out there that will practically worship you if you act like a Red Pill guy.

Honestly I think a lot of it is that their lives are just far enough removed from ours that we romanticize it. We see our dads putting up with things every day, but we don't generally have that level of contact with a grandparent. That and they can fix cars because cars were pretty simple back in the day. I know people are gonna down vote this, but our grandparents lived in the generation where being a hard working beta was still a successfully rewarded role in society.

100% this. What would close to cheating even mean to this woman? She wouldn't define being overly flirty this way. She thinks she's getting away with a lie but in the process is putting things in a way no honest person ever would

Way too late on this comment but NEVER date a girl you've been friends with for awhile. Girls need to go from meeting you to fucking you within 1-2 weeks max for it to be the "passionate whirlwhind" they fantasize about. You don't do that and you're just each other's leftovers.

No goddamnit I didn't. Are you copy/pasting that reply to every comment on your link? I understand what you're saying, that Buffett as a capitalist has incentive to increase the pool of labor. What I'm saying doesn't contradict this, and simply gives him more incentive to profess his feminism, whether or not he actually believes any of this is good for society in the whole.

He has to pay lip service to feminism and high tax rates etc. As one of the wealthiest men alive, with more wealth than probably the bottom 25% of Americans, he should be a target of scrutiny by liberals, but instead he pays homage to social justice and everybody loves him. See also George Soros

You never had this girl. This reads like you were her gay best friend. I know that sounds harsh, but no girl who has a crush on you is going to post pics of you two together with heart captions, or say things like 'when are we going to get married.'

Not the people who run it. The politicians cater to the whims of the people, and the people are sex-starved.

Tell your wife that there is this girl you'd way rather fuck than her, but you didn't do it because of work/family. See if she thinks what you did was heroic or if she divorces you.

"Alpha" isn't synonymous with "good." It has a specific meaning in terms of sexual strategy and refers to a man who would traditionally have been the leader of a tribe and spread his seed among a harem of women, having dozens or potentially hundreds of children. Women do not have this sexual strategy available to them, so no, a woman cannot be an Alpha.

Article gets it backwards. There girls don't post pics because they have "low self-esteem." Those post pics because they have extremely high self-esteem, think they look fucking great, and want to show other people their bodies. Case in point: What kind of guy posts semi-nude photos? Overconfident, asshole meatheads (not hating, I'm a powerlifter). The funny thing really is that it's obvious the author doesn't actually think they have low self-esteem. Half his article is trying to convince girls…

Yes women slut-shame but men do too (and this is a good thing). Would you rather sleep with a girl who's only slept with 2 other guys or 50 other guys? How about which girl would you rather date? Or marry? It's feel good bullshit to say "Men don't judge sluts, only other women do." I'm a man, and I judge sluts. And it makes biological sense to do so. This is TRP, this is hard truth. Let's not sugarcoat things or act like we're above judging others. As guys, if it's easy enough we'll generally fu…

Many guys will try to punch above their weight class by trying to find "untapped" girls - girls who for one reason or another undervalue their own sexual market value. Shy girls, girls who recently lost weight, etc. DON'T DO THIS. A relationship of this kind is inherently unstable. If you do your job right, she will see you as a high-value mate. For some reason, she didn't think she could get a guy like you. You've now opened an inexperienced girl to a new world. Now you are in the untenable pos…

This is how vehemently women will fight to preserve their ability to upgrade. If grandma wasn't able to dress as provocatively as she wanted after she married, how would she get the attention of her next, higher-status husband? ...of course, this better husband never showed up. Probably because he was too busy courting more tastefully dressed women.

Literally do nothing. If and when they break up, she'll show up at your door. Don't put any more thought into it.

I agree with what you're saying although "be your own man, do what you want" shouldn't be a takeaway from TRP. It sounds dangerously close to "Just Be Yourself." We're all here to play a game, and there are clearly defined inputs and outputs. When you play basketball, people don't tell you to do what you want. You better dribble, pass or shoot. You can choose what game you're playing, but once you do you better play it right.
