Maybe so. Many of the things that I involve myself in are partly due to validation. Hasn't hurt me in any domain other than with women. To be honest, it's helped me in a lot of ways. Looking for a solution to this

Regarding the IG thing, a big part of my motivation is the social status gain. If that's a stupid motivation then you're right about it being cringey. Kind of hard to get rid of though
