What's your view on filming someone having sex without their consent?

Men don't shame sluts. Well okay, maybe some weak men do. Must don't. It's women who shame sluts. Because any woman giving it away for free is a threat to women everywhere who've insisted on commitment. Men who shame sluts are morons. Would you shame a bartender who decided to give away drinks for free?

Getting rid of low SMV men would make Chads commit? What? I don't think you get economics. In a world with fewer available men, the value of Chad goes up (scarcity). Even if women don't want SMV 5 males, they need them there to keep Chads at least somewhat reasonable. In a world with fewer available men, no Chad would touch less than a 9. See what fewer men on campus has done to dating in college; hypergamy in action through hookup culture.

Don't buy this. You're saying she'll pass on being the Quarterback's girlfriend to banging guys from the AV club because she just wants attention? I think it's far more likely that she wants attention from top shelf guys and she'll settle for whatever scraps she gets (like the occasional booty call). If you want to test this theory, ask these promiscuous girls if they'd be happy for attention from average Joe's only.

Tinder makes me glad I'm married! The societal effects of these apps are disastrous and will become apparent in about 5 years. Every 6 thinks she's an 8, because she's getting hit on by 8s. And eventually when reality sets in, she's not going to be happy with the 6s willing to commit to her. Previously, this effect was largely limited to free dating sites like POF. Now? Tinder and Instagram and the like do this on steroids. How's that going to play out when all these young women want to settle d…

I think there are a lot of people (in this day and age), don't go into marriage with a real sense of commitment (of generations past). Ironic, because today you have options not available before (like cohabitation). When you stand and proclaim "for better or for worse", you should mean it. If you know that when worse comes (like you're miserable in the marriage), that you'd be willing to bail, then don't get married. The test of a marriage isn't the good times. It's what you do during the rough …

I will vouch for one thing. Women, including my own mother gave me terrible advice on attracting women. I'm not saying that TRP is gospel truth. But most of those posting questions on there would do worse by asking women..... It's not that women give terrible advice intentionally. It's just that they don't understand what it's like to be a man. Especially in the hyper politically correct world we live in.

We've all known this sort of women. And even men. Anybody who has to loudly proclaim that they are "strong and independent" rarely is.....

Sure marriage rates are dropping. But by your description, we'd be talking only 20% of all men and women marrying. I'm fairly sure the marriage rate is higher than that in Germany.

But a guy at 35 has more options across the board. Sure, maybe a lot fewer 20 year olds than when he was 20. But even that number is far from zero. Conversely, his 35 year old female counterpart....not so much. How many 20 year old guys willing to go out with a 35 year old women? Ashton Kutcher aside..... Heck, how many 30 year old men willing to date that 35 year old woman? I disagree with the whole TRP view that you can be super attractive at 50. That's where they are definitely reaching. But …

On this TRP is right. May be off by a few years. I'd say early 30s seeing my friend's circle. But if you talk to most guys, this is spot on. I don't any guy who made it to his early 30s single, who does not say that dating is much easier now than in his 20s.

I find it a tad strange that so many TRP advocate for finding that pure, unspoiled innocent virginal bride on one hand, and then go on to say that absolutely no women is worth marrying because AWALT. I think self-awareness and understanding the differences between the sexes and maintaining frame is useful. Becoming overly cynical to the point that you just cannot fathom a relationship is not. Also, a lot of TRP is very white north american centric. There definitely seems to a lack of cultural aw…

Yep. There's always guys who are natural and get laid more. Just like there are guys who are naturally athletic and make pro-athletes with less work or guys who are brilliant and become executives with less work. What's your point? Do you tell the average student to stop studying because there's no point, since there will always be someone getting better grades?

If you don't believe the claims that men have it better at 30, just be a single woman at 30 and watch the difference in dating power..... As a guy, even I was shocked by how quickly and suddenly it flipped.....I tell most of my younger male relatives to not even bother with serious dating till they are closer to 30. They'll get much more quality (particularly if they want to actually settle down) at 30, than they would at 25. I give my female relatives the opposite advice: take advantage of your…

Doubt it. Not unless he's a total dolt and has learned or done nothing in the ten years in-between. The 35 year old guy has more money, has travelled more and socialized more. All that will make him more confident and more entertaining than his 25 year old self. How that balances out with loss of youthful appearance is a good question. I would posit that most men would tell you that they had better experiences with the opposite sex at 35 than 25. Married now, but was certainly the case for me.

Overall attractiveness or physical attractiveness? You're not getting the difference between the two. Most guys will tell you that their early 30s was some of their best dating years. There's a reason for that.

I'm not saying it's fair. But we're dealing with emotions here. And guys do feel gipped if their partner (particularly a spouse) did more with someone before. Imagine you found out that your SO was super romantic and splurged on his ex. But says he just doesn't feel that way with you. How would you feel about it? Saying you tried and didn't like it and explaining why you didn't like it can be somewhat of a pass with most guys. Just saying no, will probably make guys feel like they got a raw deal…

Disagree with this. There is an element of snobbishness when some women reject men. It's not, "No thanks.". It's, " Can you believe that guy? What a creep!". And this happens to both attractive and plain guys. For most guys, if it happens more than once, they start becoming gun shy about approaching. And women wonder why great guys don't approach them.....

It's hard for us men to believe it's common because most of us men don't engage in it.

Must women have no clue how much rejection the average guy faces. My wife was stunned when my brother told her about his dating challenges. And he's decent looking, well educated, successful, and athletic. I then told her my stories. I was surprised that she was surprised. On the other hand, I realise that I am not always aware of how scared women are on a daily basis (Schrödinger's rapist). I don't really think twice about walking down a dark alley unless it looks really, really seedy.

The same way I would raise boys. Respect yourself. Respect your partner. Value relationships. Not just sex. Don't be a doormat.

Men do value commitment. But if they aren't committing to you that doesn't mean they are commitment phobic. Just that you aren't what they are looking for. Even George Clooney married in the end. Women who complain about not finding marriageable men or about men not committing don't understand the difference between the SMP and MMP and their different rankings in each one.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/15 04:30 PM
2

Men don't slut-shame as much as women do. What some men won't do is commit to high partner women. So women often seek to be less than honest about their past. Is that really the fault or responsibility of men to correct? You want a certain type of man? Be the woman he wants. Don't lie to him about being the woman he wants. The equivalent to a woman lying about partner count, would be a guy significantly inflating his career prospects or income.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/15 04:19 PM

It's not about ONS. Would you marry someone with a high count? That's the debate.

This. This is closer to reality for most guys, pill colour aside.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/15 04:02 PM

What age is it where neb don't care? I'd like to know. Now, most men don't care as much as TRP thinks they should. But most men also don't disregard partner count entirely as feminists think they should. The reality is that men evaluate partner count differently at different stages of their lives. Also, men learn eventually that it's rude to ask. Usually, you can accurately gauge "experience" by simply observing a woman.

Actual science disagrees with you. A simple Google search would show you that among women, virginity at 18, is correlated with lower rates of mental illness at 40: Finger, R., Thelen, T., Vessey, J. T., Mohm, J. K., & Mann, J. R. (2004). "Association of virginity at age 18 with educational, economic, social, and health outcomes in middle adulthood". Adolescent & Family Health 3: 164–170. This is not to say that losing one's virginity in high school is some huge deal. But let's stop the virgin sh…

Admittedly, some TRP'ers get extreme here. With demands for extremely low counts. But it's not about having sex. It's about how you have sex. If you're promiscuous, or have extremely kinky sex, why should anybody believe that your sexual preferences will change when married? I wouldn't hire someone who changes jobs every six months. Why would I marry someone who did the same with their sexual partners? And this isn't just a TRP thing. My wife has told me that she feels the same way about guys wh…

There's a large range between virgin and slut. Realistically, most men don't look for virgins. But that doesn't mean they're rushing to wife up high count women either.

Still don't get how it's an "insecurity". You're saying that somebody feeling more attractive to their partner is insecure? So a woman who loses 20 lbs and feels more attractive to her partner is insecure? I would agree that its insecurity if men spurn high count women because they're worried about how their performance will stack up. But as you've portrayed it, I struggle it to see it as insecurity.

Not sure what he's missing out on. If a woman isn't willing to provide the same services she did to other partners, how's he missing out?

It is to most men. You can choose to not to believe it. But that's reality. Forget the blue/red/purple/orange/yellow pill debate. I've seen guys from different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, etc get incredibly pained in private talking about discovering something about their spouse/partners past.

Ummm. That's what the sexual marketplace is. ONS is SMP in its purest form. The relationship marketplace is an entirely different market.

Women always have it better in the SMP. Men always have it better in the MMP. It's always worked like that. Even a 50 year old woman can walk into any bar and get sex. Her chances of getting a husband are much lower. Likewise, most men wouldn't find it difficult to land a wife. Getting casual sex is actually harder.

There's time I think this sub has jumped the shark. And this is one of them. Newsflash: women have always known that beauty was currency. And they've always used that currency to land the best provider they could. This is not AF/BB. This is how traditional societies worked since our caveman days. What's different today is that some women spend that currency on tickets for the carousel and that many don't bring anything other than their looks to the table. All I can say is, "God bless you sir." For caring this much about a brother. Every guy should have a friend like you. This guy saw combat. You need to remind him, that women are less intimidating than the enemy.

Exactly. Sure. AWALT. NAWALT. Whatever. Truth is, you can find women who either respect you enough or fear your status enough to stay honest. You hear a lot about high status males cheating. You never hear about their spouses doing the same.

It's just that I see both sides of the coin. I agree that if somebody isn't happy with their career, they should move on. But I disagree with the grass is greener mentality, when the stats clearly say otherwise. A military career is what you make of it. The military has given me great pay, great friends, the chance to see the country, time to work on my startup, time to work out every day. And on and on. Have you seen average incomes for males (especially young males) in this country? Go through Statscan and take a look. I think people really, really forget what average incomes are and how much worse off most of the population is. $50k a year is a solid income for a male at any age actually. But the average working rank across ALL NCMs is close to MCpl/MS with spec 1. That's $70k a year for a person who is most likely around 30 and didn't have much of an education getting in. Good deal, I'd say.…

You're serving and don't know the payscale. I was in Ottawa when they cut PLD. It was a max of $150/month. That's $1800 per year. Not $6k. And they cut it over 3 years while still providing pay raises. Did it sting? A little. But after tax, that was maybe $45 on each paycheque. Hardly enough to be that noticeable..... Next, a damn cook in the military makes $40k+ a year. One of my ex's was a classically trained chef at a banquet hall and didn't make that much. Most non-commissioned in the milita…

I don't question the veracity of your story. But I question the frequency of it. I know plenty of Indian households (including my own) where the man/husband/father's word is the last and end of the discussion. I have seen incidences like you observed. But I feel it's a relatively more modern phenomenon. And quite often you'll see that dynamic with the more feminist type.

This thread seriously lacks context. Namely the serious (and increasingly visible) sex ratio imbalance in India. Go around any Indian major city. You will see like 80% dudes on the street during the day. Women, go to work, and go home, usually by rickshaw or taxi or private car (with driver). The sex imbalance ratio means the level of sexual violence in India is epic. It also means women and their guardian and magnitudes more guarded than the West. For all the talk of women earning and becoming …
