Damn RightThe sentiment of the post is that liberal arts majors are paid less, not that they're not worthy of study. Women tend to choose these lesser-paying majors, which is one of the big reasons for the existence of the wage gap. Other people in this thread are projecting. | /r/MensRights | 01/01/17 06:14 AM

Ridiculously hilarious rape incident report from University of Connecticut PoliceThat's a perfectly fair point. See my comment below for why (from what is given in the description) he could be read as suspicious. Though given the one-sided and vague description, I'm not jumping to conclusions either way. | /r/MensRights | 07/03/13 03:41 AM
Ridiculously hilarious rape incident report from University of Connecticut PoliceNot because she felt scared, but because (again, reading only from the text) his actions were based on her movements. If someone approaches me closely in a dark parking lot at night without communicating what-so-ever (no eye contact, no smile, no wave, no voice...) and then bases their movements on what I'm doing, you're absolutely right that I'll think it's suspicious. | /r/MensRights | 07/03/13 03:41 AM
Ridiculously hilarious rape incident report from University of Connecticut PoliceGiven that the description is vague and the woman felt threatened enough to make a police report, all that I can do is read into the text. I didn't say that's what happened, I'm saying that from the description (i.e. "approached" and "the female turned around...the male walked away in the opposite direction" [emphasis added]) it sounds as if he was walking at her and - when she turned around - he did as well. The language is sterile and vague, but that's how I read it literally. None of us here … | /r/MensRights | 06/03/13 08:38 PM
Ridiculously hilarious rape incident report from University of Connecticut PoliceThe description is vague, but it sounds like the woman was walking alone in a parking lot and a guy made a bee-line straight towards her. After getting within a few feet she turned straight around and walked away, and he did the same. This is not "two souls walked past each-other in the night." Regardless of your gender, that sure as hell sounds suspicious to me. | /r/MensRights | 06/03/13 05:12 PM

A rebuttal to "Hark! A Vagrant"'s Strawfeminism argument. (Bonus: Guess the protest I'm alluding to!)As far as professors go: Their job is to present facts and lead discussion, not indoctrinate people to any given ideology. Well put, though this makes me wonder - how much were the professors actually participating in the shoving/spitting/verbal abuse? Teachers still have a right to show their opinions on campus, and organizing a protest is fine in my eyes. Letting the protest get out of hand is another matter. | /r/MensRights | 30/12/12 08:21 PM
A rebuttal to "Hark! A Vagrant"'s Strawfeminism argument. (Bonus: Guess the protest I'm alluding to!)When I took my first and only women's studies class, I had a very tolerant feminist professor. She encouraged us to think critically and at the end of the semester to eventually decide on if we bought into feminism or not. Every time a men's issue was brought up, she would agree and elaborate more on it. I had a very similar experience. My professor was fantastic and always tried to be a good mediator. It was the students who were the ones to push back against discussing men's issues - always tu… | /r/MensRights | 30/12/12 08:15 PM

Why MRAs Should Be Pro-Choice: If only rape victims are allowed abortions, false accusations will skyrocket.Argumentum e silentio - argument from silence. Lack of evidence of something does not therefore prove its opposite. Just because an alleged rapist is found not guilty does not prove that the rape did not occur. "How are you going to prove the police report was false?" is like saying "how are you going to prove a crime occurred?" It's an incredibly vague statement. The answer is that you look at the evidence. | /r/MensRights | 28/08/12 10:26 PM
