You stand on a single anecdotal aspect.

It's not a simple effect of combined income. People with money are more likely to marry. Marriage does not make people more money.

Research economic mobility. America has very lagging results behind other countries. If you're born poor, you're staying poor. At least for America. So do you think Americans just arent "willing" hard enough? Lol. Or could there possibly some socio aspects allowing far more people to move out of poverty in other countries? I suspect no amount or rigor of data will change change minds. Here's an anecdotal story. http://interactive.wbez.org/room205/ https://m.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/ep…

That's a dandy idea to have if you want to reject research, reality, and step into the world of motivational posters

Most of the poor people are working poor. It's not their intent to be poor.

That's pretty off. They don't just want ambition. They don't want 34yr old applying to med school. You're also making some assumptions that ambition may not be held by those less well off. It's easy to get caught in a cycle of working too much to be able to better yourself because you need to make rent.

Well that's a lot of nonsense. The all else being equal part is actually pretty important when studying effects. You can also look at marriage rates by wealth. Hint: the wealthier you are the more likely you are to get married. The data just disagrees with you. Not to mention going out on dates can cost money if you're doing it a lot. I'm betting guys with money get laid far more than guys without it on a systemic level.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
