Nope, they matter irl as well. But obviously you can't magically transform yourself into a conventionally unattractive male irl, which is why I suggested online, where you CAN test it out for yourself.

Looks don't matter for men? 😂 Create an online dating account using pics of a conventionally unattractive guy and get back to me.

Why be intentionally obtuse? Obviously means she won't clean, not that she doesn't know how to.

If you removed the cheating risk, I'd choose the right ngl. I can cook and clean myself. The idea that men are completely lost with """tough""" household tasks like putting dirty laundry in the washer machine or cooking some chicken breasts on the stove is pretty dated.

It's a false equivalency because basketball players and soccer players aren't involved in the slightest in each other's leagues. If my paycheck is involved in the sexual market place decisions of others ("I fucked the jock, he bailed once he found out that I was pregnant, now I need help feeding the offspring"), that means I'm now relevant here.

Men who struggle with romance is entirely due to their own fault and don't deserve anything. Women who slept around with some hunks because they were tall and had chiseled jawlines? Obviously it's not their fault for getting impregnated. The American tax payers must fund their mistakes!

I think you're over exaggerating how good looking the average person is. This guy looks like your basic white dude in his late 30s or early 40s. And a lot of white guys in that range have gfs or wives. Most guys don't look like Chad ig models.

He was okay, but not as attractive as the anti-incel crowd likes to play it off. He was short, scrawny, and had a kind of fish like face. His half-brother Jazz, if you look at his IG, is much better looking for example.

The problem with being set up by a female friend is that she's probably going to set you up with her fat friend. So I wouldn't worry about not being set up in real life. You're not missing much. The only time set ups may work is if you have a specific friend in mind to be set up with.

To me, engaging in adult relations proves to me that a woman is genuine in her interest for me. I don't expect sex first date, but I'm going to think you're just playing games if we go months without doing the deed.

It used to be easier, but that's because societal constraints made both a man's job and his physical strength more desirable on the dating market than they currently are today. In the caveman days, there were no cops. A family unit needed a big, strong man for protection. In the 19th century and early 20th century, women very rarely, if ever, worked real jobs. Thus the man's paycheck was a necessary for survival. In today's age, cops are a cell phone click away. And corporations are tripping han…

It's not a need in the technical sense that you literally won't die without it, like you would without food. But I do believe the psychological effects of being sexless for a significant amount of time is pretty damaging, so I would rank sex in the tier right below "literal need."

Yeah, in my experience, any time a friend who is a girl tries to set you up with someone, it's her friend "who has a great personality" since her attractive friends don't need to be set up.

I went to my city's bondage kink club a couple times because why not, it's an experience. Well an experience if you want to see fatties getting spanked and paddled by old dudes. Can confirm. A lot people there claimed to be poly and most were not good looking. I honestly had interest in maybe banging 20% of the women there.

Yes, there's just not much of any benefit single moms have over the women without children given comparable looks between the women. Children put a huge wrench into the relationship. If you want to go out, you need to make sure someone is watching the kids. If you want to have sex, you have to make sure the kids can't hear. If you just want to hang out with your gf, you have to make sure she doesn't need to spend the weekend teaching little Timmy how to do fractions for an upcoming test. Childre…

I wouldn't say never, but for the most part, I agree. There's not many cases where I get jealous of my short friends' wives/gf. Most are nice women, but not women I'd want to share a bedroom with.

Let me guess, he's conventionally attractive, right? I think this sub puts too much value into a man's wallet. If he's good looking, he'll get laid even if he's scraping by on $8 an hour.

You're right I did frame the question by making the woman conventionally undesirable. That's the point. My question is why dating is better than porn/escorts for men who can't attract women who they're actually attracted to.

We're more accepting on a societal level. Most people do want to see historically marginalized groups have basic human rights and dignity. On a personal level, especially ones where our genitalia may meet, we're as picky as we've ever been. Can't really overcome engrained reproductive desires. I think it's a running joke at this point how SJW type women usually are with conventionally attractive white guys.

I mean some women have good senses of humor, help with the household, and are generally supportive people, which are obviously pluses. So that's cool if you can find a woman like that. But I probably wouldn't be interested in adding a woman to my life if it weren't for sex and physicality. It's just what biologically draws us to one another.

There are more men under 35. There are more women over 65. The overall ratio is about 50-50, but it's deceiving because there's many more men in the dating age range than women. And there's many more women who are pooping their diapers in nursing homes. Also, based on what I've seen previously, there is a higher percentage of lesbians than there are gay men. Which only widens the gap of available straight men to available straight women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 04:19 PM

Most men cut down on the amount of spontaneous romantic gestures they make, put less effort into being thoughtful or cut down on the amount of compliments they give over time. Women tend to let themselves go over time. I mean of course compliments will start to subside when you're 50 pounds heavier than you were when you first started dating.

Nothing revolutionary will come, at least from the perspective of males who struggle with romance and sex. Food and shelter is too important for the majority of men who fit this category to rock the boat too much in real life and risk their livelihoods. What will happen: Plastic surgery rates for men will continue to pump as men try to fit very narrow, specific standards most women have for dating partners. Men who cannot afford such luxuries as plastic surgery will turn to alternative sources o…

fillipinocupid.com Is that not a scam site? To my knowledge, any foreign women dating sites for Western men are just complete scams where people are paid to write messages to Westerners to get them to spend money. As in not messaging in good faith.

I mean you do realize most people have real life responsibilities in their home countries which prevent them from fucking off to the Philippines for months to talk to local women, right? How do you suggest meeting these foreign women? I wouldn't mind a foreign wife at all pending she was interested in me with good faith intentions. But I just can't fly overseas like I'm a 20 year old backpacker with nothing going on in my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/21 03:49 PM

Not everyone has the means (time, money or other) to fuck off to some third world country for who knows how long to find a woman. There's no legit way to do it through online means since any related, non-scam site would all fall under the guise of human trafficking concerns.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/21 03:41 PM

Legalizing prostitution is just a band aid. It's better than having sex with a literal inanimate object, but it doesn't really solve the true issue of a rising number of men being unable to get organic, conventional sex/romantic relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/21 03:26 PM

It's easy to say things if you don't have to actually back up your words. Like saying it on a relatively anonymous internet site like Reddit where your post likely won't ever be seen by human eyes again a few weeks after it's posted. Words are meaningless. A person's true thoughts are shown through his or her actions.

Sex robots seem weird to me. I want the real deal, as in an actual human being as the other party. I think I'd just choose the occasional "escort" if I had to choose between these two options.

Some aren’t even attracted to their partners like that but it’s better than their hand lol Is it? I'm pretty sure I'd rather just relieve my own biological desires thinking about a woman I'm physically attracted to than having sex with a woman I'm not.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/21 02:43 PM

Right. What's the point in having a gf if you're not regularly having sex? She's pretty much your roommate with extra responsibilities at that point.

Right, I meant better from the guy's POV. Funny enough, in a different thread, I nearly posted your exact comment. That most people either don't care enough to give real advice or want to avoid hurting feelings. But from the guy's perspective, getting confirmation of what's really holding them back instead of useless fluff would be more beneficial.

It's funny because in reality the opposite is better. I would have just rather have known how much of a physical deterrent my undesirable physical features were back at 18. Now I'm getting a cosmetic procedure done in two months that I could have gotten done many, many years ago. Wasted time and youth.

The one they use is from the mid-2010s. While dated itself, it's not over a decade year old like yours and thus more relevant. Your source is from 2009. It effectively has no meaning in the current year. You know how different things were back then?

Ah, niche fitness magazines pretty much. It touches a base of physical attractiveness, but generally just controllable features. Manosphere touches on the real meat and potatoes of conventional attractiveness which a lot of these types of magazines avoid since they're not reasonably fixed.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 05:53 PM

What are you talking about? What magazines? I'm talking about regular dating advice, which usually goes something like "just hit the gym and be nice, that's literally it" if physical appearance is even mentioned at all. Some manosphere sites really dig deep into conventional attractiveness and its importance. Some things I've never heard anyone speak about IRL.

It's not just Hollywood, though. I mean sure, as a kid there were shows like Zoey 101 where she eventually falls for her geeky looking (by Hollywood standards) friend Chase. But a lot of platitudes during my childhood came from adults I knew in real life. Things like "you're so smart and hard working, when you get a bit older, the girls won't be able to keep their hands off of you." Now as an adult, I understand those were just baseless platitudes they just said to be nice, but you actually beli…

The "manosphere" in general taught me how important conventionally accepted physical looks are. In my youth, I was fully indoctrinated into the "girl eventually falls for her kind, geeky looking friend after she eventually realizes how much of an asshole the hunky football jock was" type of Disneyesque platitudes.

The study was done on college students, where presumably they would have big social circles and may have opportunities to "personality" themselves into a relationship over time with a person in the social circle. That game plan doesn't really work if you're a real adult who spends 40+ hours in an office working with already married folks.

OLD could easily work in theory. But people now a'days want instant gratification. It takes time to build a connection and emotional attachment to one another. As in multiple dates. But people, especially women, just write off their date after the first date because it was a bit awkward and there were some instances of silence (perfectly normal for people meeting for the first time). Life isn't the movies, you're not going to fall in love with someone the split second you see them in real life.

Me personally, I value a woman's looks much higher. I actually don't really care all that much about a woman's education, and even prefer a woman not to be too educated. Because if she is too educated, she probably has a huge job and very little time to put into building a relationship with me. I much prefer a girl with an associates or maybe bachelor's with at most a regular 40 hour a week job or even a part time job. The real issue here is that these men are using their romance failures to somewhat game the system and that's causing huge amounts of jealousy from people with mortgages/rent and other related expenses. Misery loves company and no one with a huge mortgage and a stressful 50 hour a week job wants to see people using their poor romance lives as a jumping point to leave the rat race a bit (whether it's moving back home, quitting their jobs or both). At the end of the day, your opinion is irrelevant…

It's only healthy to work if there's an incentive to. Please provide one for men who have food/shelter provided, aren't interested in acquiring materialistic items, and don't have the looks to pull women regardless if whether they're a "winner" or "loser."
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/21 12:15 AM
10

Why? Because you don't like it or because you have a mortgage or rent collar attached to you while these guys don't? I think that wanting to work so society will think you're a good little boy who doesn't rock the boat is more indicative of sickness. You SHOULDN'T want to work. It's not normal to live to work. You should only work to get something you need or want. And if those incentives are not needed or unattainable, you have no reason to work.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/21 12:07 AM
10

That's good. But I think you're missing the point I was making. You need an incentive to work. Generally incentives will be one (or more) of the following: You need to pay for food/housing/other necessities You want to pay for expensive "extras" like travels, sports cars, top of the line electronics, etc. You want to look like a "winner" to attract the opposite sex sexually. So if your parents will cover food and housing, incentive #1 is right out the window. Incentive #2 works for me and appare…

Like I said, I work, but that's pretty much because I want to pay for my own house cash some day and have an expensive taste in luxuries. Some men don't have those goals and only really care about the basic necessities in life. And if those basic necessities are covered by their parents, the only remaining incentive to work would be for pussy. And if they're too physically unattractive to pull puss, well you can draw your own conclusions from that point. You can stop with these "holier than thou…

Guess it depends on what you mean by "productive citizen," but yes, generally humans need an incentive to want to do shit. I used to rent an apartment for a couple years. Over 900 clams a month for a cruddy one bedroom. Guess what happened. For some guys, yes. Personally, I view not working to be against one's self interest as you are at least building yourself up financially. Unlike renting for example, which offers you no benefits if you aren't fucking on the regular. But I think the same concept exists for the guys who choose not to work. If you are a loser even after you "launch," societal shaming has no effect. Who really cares if society thinks you're a "failure to launch" if you weren't getting interest from women while you …

I didn't really read your OP to be honest as it's pretty long. I just responded to the statement in your title. To summarize, I think it all goes back to a man's ability in the sex and dating markets. If you need somewhere to fuck regularly, you have more reason to move out even if you can't afford to buy a house outright yet. If you are a loser in dating and sex, you simply have less of a reason to need to conform to societal expectations (ie "launching"). If it's going to result in sexlessness…

I'd be happy. As someone without extremely conventionally attractive looks, OLD and social media is more hindering to me than not. There's no match based barrier of entry in real life. If everyone was forced to meet sex/romantic partners the old fashioned way, I'd be able to shoot my shot with a lot more people. The main issue is that the "just be nice and tons of women will like you" type of advice is abundant in our real lives. IMO you should be more concerned with the woman's looks than with how many partners she's had. I would agree with this. Especially considering how sexually liberated society is for women, it's a bit tough to find a woman who hasn't slept with a number of football hunks today. So I am more concerned with whether I'm physically attracted to her versus if she's slept with a marginally lower number of chads in the past versus some other girl. The masturbation is the means to satisfy the need. But porn is an easy enhancement to that means that it's effectively one in the same in this day-and-age. Of course I could continue without it if I had to. I can't speak for anyone else regarding the statement regarding depression after porn, but I can't personally say I've experienced any of those symptoms the anti-porn consumption folks like to parade around.

If your average woman doesn't desire to date a guy who isn't incredibly conventionally attractive and/or incredibly successful, what other options are there besides porn and escorts to relieve natural desires? Anyone who actually thinks that most men would rather stay jacking off to porn rather than dating a reasonably attractive woman in real life probably would also think that the guy selling the Brooklyn Bridge for $100 was legit. But y…

Personality matters once you pass a certain looks barrier. If you're below an acceptable looks barrier, personality is largely irrelevant.

I mean humans in the past were still human beings. They had emotions, of which I'm sure one of which was "love" or whatever the past was called.

Never said they would in reality. At least not with current societal values.

Not a redpiller, but simply hearing what women say they like/desire in a sexual partner versus seeing their eventual partners. I'll say their men didn't match their words very well, to put it kindly. Reminds me of a meme I saw recently: "my baby daddy ain't worth shit, but I still allowed him to cum in me raw."
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 10:24 PM

Not sure what you mean. Of course there's nothing I can do about it in reality. I'm talking in theory. If the top men stopped fulfilling the sexual needs of women below their equivalent looks, it's simple logic that things in the sexual marketplace would become more balanced.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 09:46 PM

In an ideal sexual market, the top looking men would commit to one top looking woman each like it was meant to be. Of course this is just theory as in reality, most people are self-centered and the top men do take easy lays of women way below their own leagues. You can tell me that I'd do the same if I was a chiseled jaw hunk myself. And that's probably true. That still doesn't change the fact that a few limited supply of men fulfilling the sexual needs of a handful of women each is one of the f…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 09:38 PM

While true, you can't deny that the sexual marketplace would be a bit more fair if one man with top tier aesthetics wasn't sexually satisfying 3-5 women on the regular.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 07:17 PM

I don't think this is a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to what the current sexual and dating marketplaces are like in today's age.

It's not as prominent as women online make it seem. I'm not sure exactly what "self sufficient" means, but speaking as an adult single man, I know how to stay employed, vacuum, run the dishwasher, run the washer and dryer, change the windshield wiper fluid, and a whole bunch more tasks that would probably fall under the guise of self sufficiency. And many of the men I work with also seem to have some knowledge of how to run shit in their lives without a woman telling them how not to die. I'm not…

If she gave me her good years, I would definitely stay with her. I think loyalty is a good thing. That said, she's only looking for the genetically gifted top 20% right now, and will expect guys like me to chase her when she's in her 30s and 40s.

At the end of the day, if you don't provide enough to get what you're looking for, you have three options: Improve your smv Lower your demands Stay single The romantic market is no different than the economic market. If you're consistently not getting what you want, you're simply not worth what you're asking for and the market is telling you that. So let's run through the options: 1 - This might be a realistic option depending on what you're working with, but just note that there's only so much …

Not true honestly. Soft attributes like personality traits have almost no bearing in the romantic marketplace. It's all about meeting the minimum physical looks requirement. Once you do, nearly any personality trait will work sans maybe a psychiatric personality trait that legitimately puts the woman in danger of being killed. But if you're conventionally attractive and shy? Women will pursue you.

She's honestly good looking for a 43 year old. I don't think 25-35 is that unreasonable unless she's talking about 25-35 year old Chads.

You have a killer body for 41 years old. You also come with a lot of wear and baggage, but you should be able to find someone as long as you keep that body. As a 27 year old with a solid job and minimal baggage, I would probably date you.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen20/11/18 05:28 PM

Yep, always ask yourself if the girl would be interested in you if she didn't have a ton of baggage.

What's the incentive for a guy to want her? Only slight positive is that she's moderately attractive, but all that other baggage is too much for her 6/10 looks.

>You're a really nice guy and will make someone happy, but not now and not with me That's just the buzzword phrase women go to when you are legitimately a nice guy who just doesn't fill their sexual urges. Yes you probably are indeed nice, but romance unfortunately isn't only about how nice of a guy someone is.

When women rag on "nice guys," they are contradicting themselves. They all claim to want to be more than a sex object and that men should get to know the woman first before making a move romantically. So how else are we supposed to act when getting to know a woman? Are we supposed to act like douchebags instead of nice? At the end of the day, the "nice guy" fallacy is just a way women justify to themselves a way to reject the guys they don't want to sleep with. When the handsome, built 6'4 guy…

Yeah. The only other type of job she may have is taking her clothes off at a strip club, but that presents many other issues for men with any amounts of self worth and respect.

What man is going to put his resources (financial and otherwise) into raising three children of another man? These women really need to have some LT planning ability. Don't sleep with deadbeats.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen08/11/18 06:19 PM

Like the other guy said, they're not used to it. They're used to getting any man they want because let's face it. The amount of thirsty betas out there would fall over from happiness with just a little attention from a woman.

Yes, she can be lonely, but she's voluntarily lonely. As in "I'm lonely because I will only accept Chad." Voluntarily lonely people don't deserve pity like she's seeking.

200 matches on Bumble and she's seeking loneliness pity? Is this real life? Maybe if she would consider lowering her standards to realistic levels, she'd easily get someone for a LTR. You're 36 years old, hunny, you're not going to get that 10/10 6'4 21 year old guy anymore.

Agreed. This one isn't too bad. A surgeon or doctor may be a tad too high of expectations depending on what her face looks like, but based on her given information, she seems like she could pull a higher value male than the average.

Remember, everything in life has an opportunity cost. Every minute you spend with a girl who friendzoned you is a minute not spent with a girl who may see you in a romantic light. The simple truth is that I, and probably most of you, don't have time for female friends in the sense that I'd give them the same attention that I was giving them before being zoned. I'm going to go devote my attention to the next romantic prospect.

Nice exaggeration. Never said anything like that. You deal with the consequences of your actions. If I go to the zoo and decide to jump into the hungry lion's exhibit because it's more exciting than watching the lion from outside the exhibit, you would probably agree that I deserve the consequences of whatever the lion does to me, no?

Women have a difficult time thinking for themselves. Because society tells them that men who live at home are bad, they automatically discard all the men who fit that category. I used to work with a girl who said she used to live with her parents, and even though she lived at home, she wouldn't date a guy who did. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Here's the kicker, she wasn't even pretty.
/r/MGTOW22/10/18 04:12 PM

If they use a girl who is too hot, most people (even the total idiots) would know it's a scam. It's easier to fool morons when it's more realistic.

Very few men just want to be friends. Being friends with a woman usually leads to a lot of tension in the room since at least one party will eventually want to do the other party.

This is what happens when desperate fools keep unconditionally validating every girl they see. Now even pedestrian looking girls think they can hit leagues above their own and that men should be paying for their time even just to mutually hang out.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen22/10/18 01:20 PM

Nice rack. That said, you'd have to be an idiot to give her free social media attention and fill her ego. Ask her on a date and if she rejects/ignores, move on. Orbiting a girl you want to fuck is the biggest and most embarrassing waste of time ever.
