What does this have to do with Mens Rights?

This doesnt give any context for what happened. I dont see why it is labeled as false accusation either. I may be, or it may be that something terrible happened to her and the system let her down. This provides no way of knowing.

Came her to post almost this exact same comment. I dont think you missed anything and I actually took away a few things from a few comments.

A researcher or author of works cited is names "Goodenough"? Did anyone else scrutinize the rest of the text for hints that was a joke?

not a big deal, i just dont have as much time to read up on stuff as i used to. actually that seems to be half the problem. those of us that this kind of thing affects often have full time jobs and other responsabilities that prevent us from being more effective at affecting change. its the same with other laws and regulations, that it almost has to be your occupation to be up to date on even a single issue in detail in order to start making progress as an individual.

Thanks, just found a few articles on this! One of them noted the lack of media attention, and I agree completely because I had not heard about it until just now.

Is there an article of a male suicide you were planning on citing? EDIT: For those of you looking this was referred to me http://toysoldier.wordpress.com/2011/06/23/the-tragedy-of-thomas-ball/

Your argument also makes sense initially, but then falls apart when looked at in detail. If all rapes fit the description you outlined, or many people's description who have a problem with the OP's opinion, then yes, how a woman dresses has nothing to do with rape. In the real world, however, females claim rape in many more situations than just the "power" oriented ones. Regret, shame, drunkenness, etc are common parts of many rape cases. In THESE instances, how a woman dresses may mislead and m…

Wow, this is the first post that hits a little close to home (geographically) doesnt make a real difference where it happens I guess but Im down here in SoMD and it makes it a little more real when its just around the corner.

Right. That AND there are other reasons than a knowingly false accusation that a defendant may be found non-guilty.

OK I see what he's trying to get at but that statement is completely false. The trial result of non-guilty for the accused does not serve as a sentence to the "victim". The accuser would then have to face trial themselves, but only in the cases where prosecution can lay claim for perjury/lying/falsifying evidence/etc.

YES! Especially when whoever is saying it is trying to get me to do something that I think a man should do. Its immature, not manly, to drink more than you can handle. Its not manly to sleep around or take unnecessary risks or attempt to prove dominance. It can be used well to encourage manly actions. It takes a man to not drink if you are driving. It takes a man to take responsability for misdeeds. I guess my point is that when used in a way that corresponds to a true man, it doesnt bother me a…

Dont admit you were wrong because you werent! I had a similar situation happen and I ended up giving my sister a bloody nose. I'm not proud of it by any means, but I still feel justified and that I was in the right by defending myself. We were in an argument and she got physical (I am younger and was 10-20 lbs lighter at the time). I told her twice that I was going to punch her in the face and after she kept at me I did. Actually, in my story, I didnt get ragged on for hitting a girl, she was fo…

Ive never personally hit a female, and will not either. This comes from more of a non-violence against people perspective than anything else. The following saying does come to mind, however, especially when I catch a minute or two of that show: I'll never hit a woman but I'll always smack a bitch.

Not only is this apparent, it starts much earlier than in the work place and with more than just women. at the university I did my undergrad at there was a huge difference in treatment, scholarships, grading, and overall BS when the university dealt with women and african americans vs more common white/asian males. I know for a fact that had I recieved the grades they had, I would have been kicked out of then engineering school (actually happened to a few friends of mine, while worse performing …

Best thing you can do it react to it in a way that shows that the comment doesnt bother you. Obviously you know you're bald(ing), and have come to terms with it, so dont let anyone take anything away from you by taking a pot shot at an obvious aspect to your physical appearance. Throw any comment back but never act ashamed or embarassed by being bald, it will negate even the best comebacks.

Just make sure you dont take this too far. By ignoring I hope you mean you changed how available you made yourself seem. Theres usually no reason to be unfriendly with girls when they dont express intrest in you, but I agree that showing her that you have options and that she cant always count on you as a backup will help you out. What I mean to say is that above all else remember that 99% of the people out there arent for you, and it isnt their fault. Congrats and way to go, though. It seems li…

actually not to take this in a different direction but since realizing something similar, Ive met some other people at the gym (guys too) that have turned into pretty good friends. back on topic, though: gym or not Ive realized that with confidence and a simple genuine approach, you can meet and connect with girls in pretty much any situation. give it a try everyone!

First interaction really isnt a good story. I would see her in the gym at least a few times a week - apparently we had similar schedules at the time - and we'd occasionally make eye contact and smile or something. One day she was getting off the treadmill and we met at the water fountain and I just said hi and introduced myself. A few days later I approached her again and asked her if I could see her outside of the gym sometime and got her number. As for why I'm on here, I actually was looking f…

I used to have mixed feelings about this too, but then I met my current girlfriend of over 2 years at a gym. Just think about it rationally...ITS 5 AM AND SHES AT THE GYM!!! Most superficial people dont have that kind of work ethic, even if they want that killer smoking body. I would take this as a hint that shes a motivated person who is interested in improving herself (most likely not just athletically). Since she's there at 5am that also probably means that she has stuff going on during the d…

Nerdy guy/shy guy/outgoing guy/pro-basketball player/ANY GUY will appreciate and LOVE it anytime you take the initiative! If they arent interested then you do the same thing everyone else does when turned down, but it shows a lot when you make the first step!!
