While I agree that many are quick to pull the antisemite card, it definitely does exist and it definitely is scary. Obv it's much rarer now than it was before but as someone who emigrated from a very antisemitic country (with a history of institutionalized antisemitism up until only 20 years ago), it's hard for me to think that it's not serious..

Do you mean that you don't think it's unjustified or that it doesn't really exist?

I think that's a different issue since society generally rewards extroversion but not introversion.

Hmm... This is all so interesting! I've been a redditor for almost 8 years now and a little over 5 years ago I came across TRP. My first reaction was automatically negative - TRP felt like this woman hating place where people just shit on how bad, stupid, and illogical women are. While I don't think that is necessarily untrue, I've learned to just accept the fact that a lot of guys are justifiably angry. TRP is just their dojo. Someone there pointed me to RPW and I felt the same negative reactio…

Ah no I don't. I got into it because I really missed sour dairy products like kefir (I recently became lactose intolerant), so I found that if I mix lemon kombucha with plain non-dairy yogurt, it makes something similar to fresh kefir (not the store-bought kind but if you make it yourself it's effervescent). Is taking care of it time-consuming?

I've just recently started to get into drinking kombucha. Do you flavor it in any way, like with lemon or ginger?

http://imgur.com/19UjtrM Here's a pic of it all cut up - didn't get the rise I wanted but still super delicious. Just sea salt as the flavor :)

I used to be a baker while I was still in school, but since graduating and getting a big girl corporate job, I haven't had time to bake as much as I used to :( which is why I'm SO excited that I literally just put a focaccia made with sprouted wheat into the oven!

Hmm, that's interesting. I personally love to cook and I love to clean but I HATE washing dishes. When I'm at home all day by myself all I want to do is cook and clean, but after cleaning the whole place, I hate the thought of cooking since I'd have to wash dishes afterwards. A constant struggle in my life, especially with a job that is 10 hours a day with 2.5 more hours of commuting on top of that. Oy.

Thank you for your response! I totally agree with you, however this is already after the fact. We have talked about it, but his coping mechanisms don't work for me (he's somewhat just able to compartmentalize everything but I can't). He has expressed to me that I just need to deal with it for the time being.

I think the idea is that your husband leads. A leader is not only someone who is capable of making all decisions, but capable of delegating as well. If your husband wants you to be less dependent, then work on that. That doesn't mean disrespectful, just less dependent, meaning he wants you to figure out how to do things on your own. It's probably pretty tiring for him to just do everything all the time. I'm sure that if you make a real effort to figure something out on your own and realize you c…

Why do you think you want to be in a relationship with an alpha? For a monogamous relationship to function there will always be a mix of alpha and beta qualities. Also, alphas don't always only plate, they just lead. Whether they do it by plating or not, doesn't make them more or less of an alpha. If you're looking at the guys over at TRP, the alphas over there have a different goal (generally) than the women here (generally).

Yeah, I can definitely understand that. Addiction is different for every person too, I hadn't thought about that.

Well if it wasn't a deal breaker for her in the past, why did she decide that it's a deal breaker now? That's very selfish. Depending on the person, weed isn't even as bad as alcohol. I'm not defending his drug use, just saying that it's very inconsistent to be ok with it and then not.

It sounds like he's probably aware of his situation and is quite depressed. I think the best thing you can do (if you choose to stay in this relationship) is be as much of an emotional support as possible. Pressuring him to get a job or whatever will probably be counterproductive. Now, if you are in a position where you need to have kids and get married now, then yeah, it's probably not gonna happen with this guy. When it comes to smoking weed, you gotta realize that you can't change him. For hi…

Check out Minimalist Baker! Lots of stuff is vegan and/or gluten free and/or dairy free and it's almost always less than 10 ingredients

We went to Croatia last year, UNREAL. But yeah, I think the work hard play hard thing makes us appreciate our leisure time that much more. I know it doesn't work for some people, but it works for us and I'm glad it's working :) Obviously a lot of this has a foundation of never nagging/being feminine (although it is difficult esp because we are SO comfortable with each other), always being nice and nurturing, never blaming or fighting or yelling, all that good stuff. I am very lucky to be with so…

We're both working hard to be able to stop working hard. Neither of us are materialistic, so we take our free time and try to experience new things every few months or so. I work 50+ hours a week too (at a decent paying job) so we save a lot and go somewhere awesome a few times a year. I guess you could say have a work hard/play hard type of thing going on for now.

This is basically my life. SO works from 8-7 m-f and 8-4 on sat, then runs another business during his free time, with Sunday afternoons to spend with either his family or mine. We currently live together as well so this is pretty constant. When it comes to libido, SO has chronic Lymes disease so he is tired basically from the second he gets home. For that reason, we generally have sex like 1-2 times a week (and have for basically 3 years, been together for almost 4). I generally have a high lib…

Depends why I'm upset, but generally if it's something like a death or something unfortunate like that then he will console me. If it's something like I'm upset at someone (not him) he offers an ear. If I'm upset at something like my job or myself, then he tries to offer a solution. He generally never sugarcoats anything, but he also doesn't rub my face in anything. He's very rational and not spiteful at all.

Reading this is like reading my own life. Depression has been in my life for at least 7 years now (now 24) and I've experienced it in different ways throughout the years. Recently, it's been exactly like this, the burned out, tired of everything and everyone, want to drop out of life basically. The best piece of advice that I can give you is this - learn how to keep yourself busy. It sounds bleak at first, but it's probably the one thing that has helped me the most, especially in these winter mo…
