One of the worst offenses women regularly commit is not trusting their gut feelings and intuition, due to a lifetime of placating and told they should be polite and accommodating under almost all situations.

Yesss, this is exactly what I mean!! Amazing, and congratulations to you. Finding companionship in yourself, empowering yourself through independence and self-control and learning to be solitude and reflect are some of the greatest gifts of life, though they can be painful. Then of course the next step is to help elevate other women in any way you can, so we can say F you to the patriarchy and become stronger. Keep growing sis!!

Posts like these are great in a society where women are constantly belittled, told we need a man, are not good/pretty enough etc. But it would be nice if they were accompanied by ways you awesome women are working on bettering yourselves too, with pictures like these.

My question to you is why would you put up with it? Even if it was pre FDS, that's basic respect for yourself. I'm not trying to be rude, just genuinely trying to understand what you felt he brought to the table, that you would be willing to put up with so many red flags, be told what to do, and be disrespected so hard.

Do not put up with this. "Accidentally" hitting someone is not a thing. Many abusive relationships start like this... And it doesn't get any better. His behaviour is a red flag, and any attempted justification is not relevant. Grown adults use communication and reason to vent frustrations, and the fact that he is (most likely) physically bigger than you and using that as way against you should not be tolerated, this is not a sign of respect towards someone you love and hope to spend your life wi…

To your point of physical strength - definitely a truth, but I think that as we move further into the digital era where brains over brawn are what help define success, this will matter less and less. To me the main delineation that will keep women down is pregnancy and the bearing of children, along with the first few years being the ones where they're the primary caregivers most of the time. This usually makes them more vulnerable and in need of being reliant on men, begin to work less, and ove…

No... I'm not. Simply answering the question, noone said one is less or more serious than the other. Come to think of it there are movements, for example efforts to stop gang violence. They're simply not framed as gendered, since they typically involve solely men on men violence. If people would simply try to look at an issue from two sides there would be alot less blame and victimization all around, and this applies to most of the bs that people complain about these days

Gee, maybe it's because most of violence is men in men, while the violence on women is men on women violence, also the fact that men are physically stronger than men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
