I think it is absolutely appropriate to draw conclusions from the success of FSOG. I'm a non-feminist woman, I read it (though didn't buy it, so that's a little better, I guess?) In all fairness, I think most feminists are decidedly anti-FSOG, and see it for what it is: a tale of a woman who chooses to let an overly controlling maniac into her life. There are also some pretty compelling pieces written suggesting that FSOG is actually describing an older man's relationship with an underage girl, though technically the main character is stated to be graduating college. The woman in the post likely has no fucking clue what she is talking about.

I'm a woman with a high sex drive, but there are times when I don't want to for one reason or another. Sometimes I'm worried about money, sometimes I just had a big dinner. The reason doesn't matter. No means no. (even if you have a dick and are "supposed" to say yes.)

I personally hate the use of these pet names by ANYONE, not just men, and I find women are the worst about it, actually. I'm a woman. I'm a woman and a fan of Men's Rights. Why? Because feminists are psychotic. I'm a woman who loves men, and I don't want to see them persecuted, which they absolutely are at this point. I saw that thread in my first ever visit to r/feminism yesterday, and most posters thought it was bullshit to demand that more women be represented. 3/20 were women, and that was a generous inclusion, based on the fact that it showed Nobel Prize winners.
