"The real purpose of manhood is to become a husband and father" Says who? In my opinion, there could be a multitude of purposes in becoming a man, which should only be in the direction one chooses (self-actualization). "Real maturity is an advanced state of being" How so? What are the benefits one may expect while being in this married state?

If you're truly a strong confident man, can't you just say fuck it anyway and still see her (when convenient) as a friend? Just because you want to, you enjoy it, and you're in control of your own life? Just demote her back to the same frame you saw her in when you just met her. You have no right to her, the feelings you had were all bullshit in reality (obviously- since you're not together), she is a separate person, you had your turn, and now she's just a friend. But you still see her to keep …

Also donated $33. This is truly a great and under-appreciated cause. Everyone who can afford to donate should. The fact that they have already proven that this medical technology works in smaller mammals is, to me, huge, and really makes me question why the B&M Gates Foundation isn't taking notice. Oh I see, you are referring to the actual wiki for tennis elbow. It says it involves inflammation. This has been denied as a misconception by the medical community. See: https://www.painscience.com/articles/tennis-elbow.php http://tenniselbowclassroom.com/what-is-tennis-elbow-1/tennis-elbow-tendonitis-inflammation-myth/ http://physioworks.com.au/injuries-conditions-1/tennis-elbow

Indeed I did. "Tendinitis should be reserved for injuries accompanied by inflammation." This does NOT include tennis elbow, as you will see if you click on the tendinosis link: "Tendinosisis, is damage to a tendon at a cellular level (the suffix "osis" implies a pathology of chronic degeneration WITHOUT inflammation)....TENDINOSIS of the common extensor tendon of the elbow (“tennis elbow”) is a common cause of elbow pain for adults." I think the better question is, did you read the article, my f…

Tennis Elbow is actually not inflammation, which is an effect of tendinitis. Tennis Elbow is classified as tendinosis, which is the degenerating damage to the cells themselves, rather than a vascular response i.e. inflammation. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Tendinitis

I agree writing feels better. I tried typing for privacy's sake, but it truly doesn't have the same personal-link-feel. Now I just need a small , sturdy safe off amazon so some friend-of-a-friend doesn't come over, open my shit while I'm on the pooper, and access my personal shit.

To add, think of it as a very basic, animalistic, perspective. Females are attracted to the BEASTS in mating (who will provide for them food, home, status, etc)- realizing weaknesses in their prospective mates is simply a natural turn off- they will take your offerings, but prepare to find a better suitor (they are looking for the best they can get). Tell them about your feelings, weaknesses, troubles will first and foremost turn them away. If you do need help, fix it by 1) working out your emot…

I think facebook gets a pass because any deceptive information is self-inflicted, in that it doesn't really have any direct impact on others. I think putting your best foot forward in life is just part of trying to to your best. I'm thinking more about malicious deception, as in acting a certain way in order to "trick" someone into acting how you want them to- which I do think is a gray area, and VERY often pushed by 'sociopaths', etc, who kind of went down a path of dishonesty. I'm all for peop…

Isn't deception wrong though? Isn't that dishonest, cheap? Can't we "win" thought a better means- to convince others that they should do what is best for them? I'm just confused- if we are competing with someone, what line are we willing to cross to win? If we win by reason of deception, should that be "okay"? Isn't honesty the best policy? Granted, if we have private things or strategic secrets we can exercise our power to be silent, but I just feel shady about intentionally deceiving others. W…

If a woman is unsatisfied (whether her fault or not), she will act at her SO's expense. TRP men must be on their game so they can react- if they maintain their value, the best action is to bounce and go find a girl worthy of his time. OP's first mistake was marrying an unstable (daddy issues, etc) woman, and not taking out insurance (maintaining his SMV) in the meantime. Now he has to play catch up, or stay miserable in his crap relationship.

Going off this, I like to think of it as "getting bothered" (-tony robins), rather than internalizing pain, which can sometimes lead you in a negative/destructive direction.

Not music but Tony Robins (via Spotify). I believe focus of the mind is HUGE in self-improvement, and he keeps me going. Also a great way to get your daily "positivity" in while you work out. You attract what you think about, so it makes sense to practice positive thoughts daily.

bull shit. it's like artie lange said: "have you ever tried heroin? no? well you're really not qualified to make that assessment then are you?" I've had Coke, pop, etc, all my life but I am a healthy person and would actually prefer an Izze when given the choice. You can say it's more common for people to make a habit of consuming sugar- but that is different than saying it's "hugely more addictive than heroirn"- that's just ridiculous.

What, you don't think the dollar dropped against other currencies during those years? I don't see what point you're trying to make. Over 100 years? It probably fluctuated with similar currencies. In the 1st part of the 20th century, most countries pegged to the Gold Standard. In the modern era, however, the USD has done relatively well. This is a simple matter of being used by the world-dominating economy. To make a fair comparison, the USD has appreciated against the GBP in the long run (but li…

Lol ouch. I think wife sex could be cool. Assuming she's hot, could be a fun time, and less worry about dealing with some rando chick's games/BS.

Your chart pins the USD against inflation (printing of more money). The Argentina chart pins their Peso against the USD (another market). Inflation is normal, esp. over 100yrs, as noted by our economy doing very well relative to the world. Losing value vs other currencies is not normal. Argentina dropped 50% in two years. That's terrible.

80% filed by women- that statistic tells us that women believe they should get more than they currently have. Women split when they are not satisfied, which is often, because their expectations are unrealistically high.

You have to derive your fuel from 99% Inspiration. When I don't "feel" like doing something (working out, stepping out of my comfort zone), I think about how my idols would react in the situation, and extract inspiration from that feeling. It always gets me back in the right mindset to press forward.

That's like the argument why Ben Stone gets with Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up. Does funny make that big of a difference? It definitely figures into the confidence/presence category, but I can't imagine it being a game-changer when the other variables are weak. Imagine it in a bar atmosphere....

Uh, seeing as you are coming from a completely ignorant perspective, I'm gonna go with the fact that I know better than you do but thanks for the insight. Maybe I am?

Thanks for your insight. I can definitely see this happening as you described. I suppose a guy can enjoy a good relationship in the short run (<2 yrs max), but has to remember that it likely won't last because of the facts that people change, and they get bored, take things for granted, and eventually someone breaks it up. It's almost natural, like it's better for everybody to move on after some point. Marriage is almost impossible to be successful at because of these reasons. It only works out …

Relatively young (early twenties). I think I am attracted to the idea of monogamy, being each other's only SO. Knowing that she won't be gone the next morning. Also for the comfort of knowing where we are in the relationship, becoming comfortable together. It's like finding a person that is compatible with myself, and feeling like we naturally fit.

That was beautiful...yeah I agree that I enjoy things more when they are exciting / temporary / changing. It also makes you independent and only investing in yourself, not wasting resources/time/energy on someone else's turbulences.

Definitely a practical strategy, but how do you practice your emotional health then? It's important to show emotion sometimes, we're not robots. Throw on a movie and have a cry or a laugh?

Plenty of people out there means in the finite time horizon of our lives, there will always be an infinite stream of new opportunities to meet new cool people. Adapt and improve your circumstances. It's funny- I hang out with the same loose group of HS/college friends, and it's okay, but they tend to be negative people. Even though I am a social person, I don't break out of that group enough. I should make it my goal to hang out with a new group for every time I hang out with them to stay fresh …

Question: aren't there exceptions though? Aren't there 1-3% of relationships that, at least for awhile (months or a couple years) are straight-forward like that?

Not looking for soul's counterpoint, just looking for someone to have fun with / enjoy being around. But yeah that's a great point- everyone seems so inclined to spend their time on social media, even okcupid, there are less and less chances to be present in the moment. Thanks

What about unicorns? (I think that's the correct term meaning rare/quality girlfriends). Like girls who understand TRP, value what their men bring to the table, and sacrifice to make him happy. To me, that's a meaningful relationship.

I guess this is where plate theory comes into play. I have thought in the past that this ideology was sort of "cheap", in that, you aren't pursuing a real, meaningful relationship. However, it makes sense to do when girls act flaky / high-maintenance. I'm over here just wanting a decent girl to spend time with, but sometimes they make it so damn hard. Almost like they would rather be plates anyway.

Don't let yourself become manipulated by low-quality, manipulative people. This guy was a loser, who knew how to manipulate. At least you can use this experience in the future. Next time you'll know, and drop him like 3rd period French.
