It also doesn't have criminal matters. It's not an actual court at all and has no legal authority. Days at the outside. I've been out with the flu for longer than some women are out for pregnancy. So unless you're working a job that is generically anti-sick-day, this isn't a serious concern. Like I said it will vary and isn't a universal rule. But that said, are you really comparing childbirth and the flu as far as the toll each takes on your body and how long it takes to recover? If, in a married couple, the man always makes more then of course the man is going to want to maximize his hours at the woman's expense. If the situation is reversed, the results will reverse themselves likewise. This would be true if there was no time off for child birth and women and men had the same biological responses to the child from birth. I read somewhere that 90% of attendance for that movie opening weekend was women. And yes, I've seen that too. If I remember correctly they provided some guesses as to what other factors it could be. If women wanted to "close the gap" and tried to address other possible factors like encouraging women to negotiate salaries more, I wouldn't mind at all. All of those differences would be abolished outside of personal choice because men and women would have to be treated the same. My issue with it is that the act also requires equal pay. The reality is that women will likely still take off more time than men in general for kids but be required by law to receive the same pay because men could theoretically take off but won't.	/r/MensRights	08/07/15 08:52 PM
