I helped a coworker move. The people who were going to help him (his parents) got sick and didn't want to risk infecting everyone with COVID so weren't available. It ended up not being COVID, but this was before the rapid tests.

How might very much like to contact a local lawyer and ask his advice. Talking to a lawyer for an initial session can often be free, but half an hour of his time might be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in false child support payments for you. There might be very important things you need to do, or that you should avoid. A local lawyer will know those things.

Without knowing the location, offering any legal advice is likely going to be bad advice. Having a kid in the UAE vs the USA is really different.

Most of the people who like spirithood are dirt poor. You can find them pretty easy secondhand, being sold and traded for a lot cheaper.

Google them. They're so hippie. I have the husky. There a huge culture for the underlying pattern too, so don't be an idiot like me and get black. The space ones sell for the same price but resell for way higher.

Sure! But I don't believe you need separate agencies for addressing gendered needs. Which is a position I'm sure you agree with.

Nah. The hat is a 'spirithood'. The pants are 'harem pants'. And the shirt is a camping/festival reversible shirt, which you can turn inside out to have a new color and pattern. I was the token straight friend (for diversity) in a gay group of friends and they rubbed off some mannerisms on me.

I don't like how everything is a gender issue when it doesn't need to be. Homeless women suffer massively. Homeless men suffer massively. Our goal should be to help the homeless. Not the homeless men.

All the MRAs did, because I kept yelling out the totals. I felt kinda mean because there were only like...10 attending feminists, and they were busy holding signs, so they couldn't really donate. But I had two people put money in both boxes. Egalitarians. One put $10 in each box, one put $5 in each box. Final totals, $100 in the MRA box, $15 in the feminist box. No donations from pure feminists. One feminist spoke really angrily to my about how I shouldn't be 'doing that'. So I said, "does femin…

You can have a blunt personality. That's fine. Just try to actively go against the grain of what they're saying about you. If they say you are hateful, be loving. If they say you hate women, love women. If they say you condone violence, condemn violence. Right then and there.

This is from last Tuesday's screening of The Red Pill in Calgary. I came with blank signs and no ideas, but dressed like the most loving, pot-smokingest spirit hippie you've ever seen. At the protest, signs said I hated women. That we didn't need to take money from women's programs to help men. That the MRM was a hate group. That we condoned violence against women. My clothing alone defeated the narrative that we were hateful, evil, violent people. Violent people don't look nearly that cuddly. F…

The MRM needs PR people. Feminism has a whole load of institutional support and the can do serious visible good (ie women's shelters). It's so easy to do volunteer work and to raise money for homeless organizations. Or any area where men have it worse. I think we all should have a stronger focus on PR, and try to get shit done in the meantime. See if you can get something done at the next event you go to. If you know there will be a protest, bring BLANK signs and a pen. Then draw your own sign t…

This is me at a protest. I'm openly supporting social aid for the poor. I'm dressed like the pot-smokingest liberal spirit hippie there is. I'm broadcasting that we are going to go volunteer to help the homeless. And you can't see her in this shot, but my female friend also came and held a sign saying "I'm an MRA". https://i.imgur.com/prQj4cM.jpg Standing right next to us were signs saying that I hate women. That I don't need to hurt women to help men. That we never actually help anyone. It just…

Show them The Red Pill. Talk to them about your struggles. And if there is a protest, remember that the media will capture you visually, they might not interview you. Have signs that show that you are good. Visually appear like a good person. Collect donations for people who are disadvantaged. Dress like a hippie. :P

I'm not an expert, just saw this on reddit. Maybe men just don't report it and the majority of victims are men everywhere. It certainly feels like an attack the generally is used on women, but maybe I've been misled.

...ok. Well, then I guess it's a difference of opinion on the definition. Maybe we agree to disagree. I thought you were saying that alcohol couldn't be a drug used in date rape.

I'm contesting your opinion that alcohol isn't a date rape drug. I'll respect an opinion that it was not used as a date rape drug in this PSA, (though I disagree), but I don't accept that it cannot be a date rape drug in another case.

If a person uses alcohol to bring someone into an unconscious state, then has sex with them, it's Date Rape, and the drug they used is alcohol, therefore alcohol is a date rape drug. It's not moving the goalposts. I've definitely drank more than I'd thought a fair few times and ended up passed out. If someone had been encouraging me to drink more, and my judgement had already been impaired by booze... I'll concede that there's a huge grey area between sober and unconscious, and I'm really not su…

The concept is that someone who is less drunk could ply someone to drink more than they should, and then have sex with them when they are in no state (ie unconscious) to dissent (or consent).
/r/MensRights30/04/13 05:59 PM

That's one opinion. But it's wrong: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_rape_drug#Alcohol "Alcohol remains the most commonly used date rape drug, being readily available as well as legal, and is said to be used in the majority of sexual assaults."

I don't think the woman's personality factors into whether or not it was rape. What if she was chained and beaten and tortured, after being kidnapped from her home, then forced into vaginal intercourse? If she's a feminist or not, that would definitely be rape.

I agree. I think that society could stand to give advice to potential victims about how they can protect themselves. She does, at one point, turn him down on the dance floor with a shake of her head. I think that people should be taught methods of protecting themselves. When you travel to sketchy countries they advise that you lock your valuables, travel in well-lit and well populated areas, protect your wallet from pickpocketing, and nobody protests that this blames victims of theft. I think th…

I'll agree with this. Three intervening people don't ask for her opinion, they just treat her like a child. What if this was just her way of spending Friday nights?

He may not have roofie'd her, but he does ask the bartender for "two double rum and coke and two double vodka", so when she can barely sit up straight, he buys her four drinks. To me, that indicates manipulative intent. Additionally, alcohol is the most common date rape drug, and rohypnol is very rarely used. It's much easier to obtain booze than roofies.

Emilie and Bob meet at a party, and they play a drinking game. During the game, Emilie tries to kiss Bob, but he's a bit more reserved, and doesn't feel very comfortable with it, and indicates with body language his wish that she stop. She stops. They keep playing the drinking game. Later in the night, they play strip poker as a group, and then Bob kisses Emilie. They make out, and fall asleep together, cuddling half-naked. They never have sex. Sexual assault?

Emilie and Bob are in a relationship, and have been for a year. One night, Emilie wants to have sex, but Bob isn't in the mood. They don't have sex, but decide to go clubbing. Emilie doesn't really feel like drinking, so she doesn't, but Bob gets shitfaced. Emilie takes him home, where they live together, and when she sets him down into bed and takes off his clothes to put him in his PJs (his jeans are dirty, and she doesn't want them in the bed), he gets horny and kisses her, then starts to unb…

Emilie and Bob meet at a party that her best friend is hosting, they each have 3 drinks, so Bob can't drive home, and they decide to just crash at Emilie's flat a few doors down. Game of Thrones is on, so they watch it together. Bob has another beer, and during a sex scene they both get pretty horny, and so they PAUSE GoT and have sex. Once they're done having sex, they unpause it, so they can watch Arya and Daenerys kick ass. With their mutual love for Game of Thrones, they start hanging out a …

Emilie and Bob meet at a club, Bob buys her a drink, they take a cab to Emilie's flat, where her flatmate confronts Emilie and asks if she wants this creepy guy to stay over, and Emilie says "uh, yeah, that's why I brought him home". Her flatmate is a total bookworm, and just doesn't understand One Night Stands, god, what a prude. Emilie then leads Bob into her room, rips off his shirt, and they have passionate sex. Sexual assault?

Emilie and Bob meet in a library, start dating, marry, two years later, they both get drunk at christmas and have sex. They sex wasn't very good, because Emilie was totally smashed, and Bob was really drunk too, but they both enjoyed themselves and woke up in the morning with terrible headaches. Sexual assault?

One contention that I have, is that I would not personally convict this man of sexual assault based on the PSA alone. Despite the fact that he is portrayed as taking advantage of her drunken state. I believe that drunk people are allowed to have sex, people are allowed to have One Night Stands, men are allowed to buy women drinks, and that one person is allowed to be more drunk than the other. We can't, as a legal system, know how drunk they were when they had sex. We can't determine their Blood…
