I think they are not all the same. Just like the men and members of other radical groups they’re basically different combos of traumatized , confused , and indoctrinated.

I don't know much about that type of therapy. I wasted time with a therapist who didnt get me and it made my life worse. The problems in dating are the same in therapy. There are low effort therapists and high effort therapists who simply don't share your values. Most will be okay, but you will benefit way more if you find the one that gets it. Sometimes in life you change your situation and sometimes you change the way you think about it. I don't like thinking about not having agency because it…

He has anti political correctness and often sexist views, his lectures often feel incoherent. The type of people attracted to idolizing him are lost boys. Someone who doesn't feel ideologically lost won't sink hours and hours into absorbing ideas from the same father figure They often use it to feel smart and don't apply his ideas of personal responsibility (except when victim blaming), commiting to a woman and not having casual sex, and growing up into their personal lives.

Of course I think go for it It's different for us minorities I don't think you're devaluing yourself or putting yourself in danger here, so you can go for it

Im from an insular patriarchal minority group with a really rich culture and I can see why you would want to go for it. When you're a minority , there are less people in the same minority so it's harder to maintain abundance mentality. There are certain things you feel only the in-group will understand or accept. When you find the one, he will be connected to people you've already known anyway because there are just less degrees of separation Now that he's forbidden fruit he's much more interest…

It's ok It'll take time. In your case friendship doesn't make sense. Give it time and distance will help you see things clearly

It's okay. It's hard. Maybe you should take a break if you want to. I been into mantras lately. these are my favorites now, try it and see what works for you: -the right decisions will be rewarded in time -I am enough on my own and thus if someone else is here it does not matter -when I meet the right one, I will be grateful. I will be more grateful because of negative experiences -when I meet the right one, I will feel secure. -i am safe. I am loved. I have people to depend on.

You are doing what serves you If you can be friends with an ex and it fulfills you, fine whatever. Maybe your ex is a coworker or maybe you're from a small community or have many lifelong mutual friends or very specific interests. Whatever But if you are friends with an ex and it stirs you up emotionally (which it often does) or it doesn't add anything (waste of investment) or it causes drama with his new girlfriend or something dumb that's when we start asking "what's the point?" We come back t…

Women from traditional backgrounds have these views but they also do all the cooking and cleaning. Often if someone who is expected to work triple doesn't accept and internalize these ideals, they will be miserable. Expecting anything more ideologically from someone who's been home all their life is asking way too much of women. The good news is you can just learn to reject those particular values. You dont have to assign the whole women as low value, just that she holds some views that aren't v…

No stats my observation- In countries where they have chivalry and importance on marriage, they have more domestic violence and more cheating In countries that are more westernized where women should be free, we have way way way more porn sick, entitled men

I thought it was about love and giving, and the cycle of life. The tree is wisdom and grows back. The tree lives much longer than the human. The human gave the tree purpose for the duration of the humans life. They grew older together, but the tree will outlive the human and grow back.

I just think that respecting elders is the most important thing to him, and he would take moving out abruptly extremely personally. Men in our Cultures dont have the best emotional intelligence or regulation. Can you get a car first? That way you can go where you want. Are there other ways to assert independence? Is there something you want to do but haven't because your parents haven't let? Meanwhile you can warm your parents up the idea of you moving out. You can tell him you want to, that you…

Hey, I think it's great that you are doing reflection and recognizing patterns in yourself and where they stem from. You will decide what to keep and what to leave behind. I think if you move out they will forgive you, but I also think that sneaking out or leaving without warning is a bad idea. Your goal is not to punish your father (that won't accomplish anything) but to act in your best interest. Spontaneous decisions are usually not in your best interest, and neither is estrangement.

This is my pet peeve. Lots of alt right media and YouTubers (Jordan Peterson) use Nazi Germany as the go to example for explaining all sorts of human behavior, that might be where he gets it. Anyway red flag!!

Maybe because the Kardashian dad wasnt her biological dad, she never felt truly like a Kardashian and that's why she wants her kid to have a biological sibling so bad. All of this would have been avoided if she had enough self work to not have a kid with someone emotionally unavailable in the first place

I think it's much more important to observe how a person deals with their past, how much work is done to recognize toxic patterns and improve mental health than it is whether or not there is a toxic or tragic past

I should have used the word sex worker instead of porn star.. they have an onlyfans account together. I'm not sure how changing from an account of just her to both of them has affected her finances and wellbeing. She does pranks on him too except they're not nearly this humiliating and he gets angry. And this is popular, she has 3.4 million followers and he has over 4 million. This is the trash hundreds of thousands of people are watching.

Wow I didn't expect that, but it makes sense. It sounds like you werent impressed. All the times in my life a first date was suggested too fast (less than two days after meeting) it turned out to be because of either insecurity about losing you or wanting to rush into/expected sex that day more than about feeling a strong connection. It's like he's willing to date anyone whos willing instead of wanting to date and get to know me specifically which ends with a hollow and shitty feeling But it see…

Maybe reframe it from "they wanted to use me" to "they wanted emotional and physical intimacy and we were not aligned in our intentions. He needed distance to move on instead of silently harboring feelings. I am now investing in and cultivating female friendships"

I'm so so sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately while it feels once in a universe this type of thing is extremely common. You are dealing with it very well, you have put vocabulary and recognized it for what it was, taken steps to take care of yourself. Reporting is a very personal decision. No one can tell you what to do here. You need to do what feels right for you. Whatever happens, know that there are people who will be here for you. You have every right to write this narrative in ways t…

I think a lot of us are feeling vulnerable right now and unprotected. But still, even without being protected from all evil, we're okay. We're able to maintain ourselves, try our best, make choices that better us.

Misogyny has been around for many many generations. Since a long long time before porn. When you have kids you get to build moral foundations! And you get to choose the dad! It will be okay, don't worry. People are always so resilient. We survive the worst of abuses

Lesbians face misogyny too, are marginalized, sometimes not accepted by their families, etc. Typically they have it a lot harder than straight women and are less likely to get married or find a partner

It might help you if you accept it and then integrate it into your present. Are there any productive uses for those memories? Maybe you can make art about it or write a list of lessons. maybe you can talk about it in this sub and coach us on why that relationship is bad and what made you naive.

It's called fetishizing race. It's undesirable because: 1 he's perpetuating a stereotype. He thinks girls of a race will behave a certain way and have certain characteristics (this is racism) 2 he's saying he wants a girl who will "do anything for him" meaning he wants a girl with no values, opinions, or identity (he wants an object) 3 he's erasing other aspects of her identity by making her whole existence her ethnic background (this is erasure) 4 it just sucks for the person being otherized an…

Thanks for the response. Yeah he was covering his ass, he's also generally very nice but he has a lot of problems including substance abuse and an aversion to working on his mental health The problem is I don't know how to overcome what happened or to work on boundaries really except by entering a loving relationship. And for loving relationships I'm not sure I know how to do that and I usually learn by doing. Is this faulty logic?

I know a girl who saved $5,000 in a safe in her room to buy a house for her and her boyfriend. When she went to retrieve the money, it was GONE. This girl was tutoring while in engineering school with an internship and her lazy ass barely employed boyfriend had spent it all on DRUGS behind her back. I wish I made this up for karma. I really do.
