His job requires him to ride around in a car 95% of the time and write tickets and take reports about crimes. I haven't looked up the actual statistics but most police officers don't have a partner unless its a new recruit trainee. It's cheaper to put each officer into their own car. It let's you respond to double the number of calls and if an officer needs help, they can radio for backup. The downside is backup can take a few minutes to respond. If you slow down the video, you can see her throw the gun out of the car onto the ground shortly after 4:06 from the body cam footage. They really shouldn't be relied on unless there are multiple officers on scene. Even the cop doesn't shoot at her as she goes. shit is wild You can see her gun fall or get tossed out of the car before she drives off.
