Honestly, you're overreacting in a huge way. You've had penetrative sex with 3 dudes. You will find guys, especially online, who freak out over a couple of sexual partners, but in my wide and varied experience this is not the norm in the real world. Especially among well adjusted, attractive men. Most women are not so prudish, and most men don't expect to deflower their bride. We're living in 2017, not the 1700s. You'll be fine :)

I think /u/Cardiscappa hit the nail on the head when she said it comes down to social skills and awareness. Of course sexual attraction is likely to exist between two attractive people, but part of being a mature, self aware person is to recognise that and not act on it. I'm not stupid, I can tell when the boss at work or the weirdo at the bus stop is hitting on me. He's not going to get anywhere, so why should I shut myself away blushing at home? I'm not going to voluntarily put myself alone wi…

RPW does not say that women who don't "follow the rules" will be left on the shelf. Pretty much anyone can get a guy to marry them, especially if she's cute and charismatic. They're probably quite happy. RPW says that women are generally happier when they follow a particular dynamic with a particular type of man. It's not the only way to be happy, but it works a lot of the time. And to be quite honest, plenty of attractive, progressive guys these days don't care all that much about a woman's cou…

My husband and I make similar money, but I am not attached to my career or being a breadwinner in the same way he is. This makes it a simple decision on who will stay home when we have kids. This is something we discussed at length before marrying, so there are no surprises there. Having a spouse to take care of the children and home frees men up to achieve more in their careers, and this is part of the reason why married men are given so much more respect in the workplace. Unmarried men above a…

There's a good reason women aren't welcome to give advice in TRP, and it's that women don't always know what they want, and will rarely have a strange man's best interest at heart over her own feminine strategy. I truly believe it goes both ways and that women who are successful in dating and marriage are in a far better position to give advice than men are. Obviously the rules on this particular sub allow men to participate, I just think that the women here should be wary of their lack of exper…

Go for it! Worst case it doesn't work out and you move back home with a new experience under your belt. He sounds like a great man and you shouldn't let him get away if you feel so strongly for him.

Men like to chase. Pull back a little and let him be the man again. Don't plan hikes, or movies for that matter, just ask him what he feels like doing and see what he's into. You'll get to know him better, get to do new things, and he'll feel more in control of the relationship which may be what he's missing

I just had a peek at your history, please think carefully about what you want before indulging in this guy's wants. There's plenty of good, attractive men out there who won't want you doing things you're uncomfortable with.

I'm glad that makes sense. Women like to feel like they're punching above their weight, men like to feel like they're in control. If you feel like he's not forthcoming/doesn't know what he wants, then the generic RPW advice will get you pretty close. Be kind and supportive and deferrent (assuming he's the kind of man who deserves this), and take note of what he tells you he wants from a woman. Good luck :)

Perhaps she didn't respond because she came here to a women's sub looking for female advice? Don't ask the fish for fishing advice, etc.

No you shouldn't wait. Don't overcomplicate this. You should go to your husband at the earliest opportunity and apologize sincerely for what you've done. Do not try to justify it, just tell him that you did wrong and that you will do better in future. And then actually do better. Please never call your husband a child again if you have an ounce of respect for him!

If he's going through an unusually stressful time that has an expiry date, I would give him a break and wait for normality to return. If this is going to be an ongoing thing and you're not super invested, I'd move on and find someone who has time for a real relationship.

I think I understand what you're getting at, but your writing style is odd and has put people off I think. The simple answer is that this type of attraction works differently for women and men. A man who is popular with women will appear more attractive to us as we're piggybacking on those women's vetting to confirm our choice in partner. When we go out and my husband is hit on by another woman, it reaffirms that he's attractive and that I need to work to keep him. When it doesn't get out of han…

That's great you've taken the advice on board. How are you going to fix things with him?

He said it's bad for my brain. well, he's wrong. i can understand him wanting you to come off it while pregnant, or even to prepare for pregnancy. if you're going to start trying to conceive soon, then maybe he has a point. you don't deserve to be mocked for your symptoms though, and you should make sure he knows how hurtful it is.

if you just went ahead and did it, sure it could be disrespectful. but with a careful and clear conversation, i think you're ok. does he know how difficult it makes things for you? have you told him? he can't have it both ways. he can either accept that you're taking this medication until you're pregnant, or he can accept you will be less focused without it. to direct you to stop your medication and then mock you over your symptoms is disrespectful and mean.

I really need to get better at this. I'm afraid of sounding like a bitch though. It doesn't need to be bitchy. You and your doctor are in charge of your medical treatment. Sure, take what your husband says on board, but at the end of the day if you want to be on your medication you are well within your rights to respectfully tell him that this is what you've decided.

i wonder why he wanted you to stop it if you were on it when you met and i assume when he married you? it seems like he's changed his expectations of you unilaterally and doesn't like the consequences. i'll try to dig through my old emails and find the articles my husband sent. you mustn't feel bad about not being as focused as he is without your medication. it's a real condition - you wouldn't expect an amputee to walk without her prosthetic, this isn't any different. have you had a clear and h…

my husband has ADHD and it was very frustrating at the beginning of the relationship, as i just didn't understand it. i didn't understand how someone could be so smart and so scatterbrained at the same time, so i get where your husband is coming from. saying that, though, i never made fun of it or likened his vynase to meth. one thing that really helped me "get it" was when he emailed me a bunch of articles and papers explaining what adhd is, how it affects you, how the medications work to help.…

This is terrible advice that benefits the man, not the woman. A 'relationship' without the title is not what women are seeking. It isn't one or the other, she should be looking for a man who will treat her as a partner, and call her his partner. It isn't too much to ask.

It was sort of a rhetorical question, i would never have an open marriage, but thanks for the interesting answer anyway. I'll look into Esther Perel. I feel like one of the foundations of RPW is (or used to be, at least) striking that balance so that we and our partners can be happy. Taking care of the home, remaining attractive and sexually available, and winding back on career commitments if necessary. Modern feminism is telling us to chase it all, whereas there's really only so many roles we …

It's female nature to want your status recognised. Pretty straight forward.

What do you suggest western women do, then? Should we marry and have children and give our men free reign to sleep around?

No woman wants to give herself to a man without proper recognition as his partner. How does being in an ambiguous relationship help her achieve her sexual/relationship strategy?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
