Yeah we have tons of birth control options. Men have condoms and sterilization and that's about it. It's a private matter. I wouldn't want a bunch of random people to know how much I make. Plus, lots of factors go into how much someone is paid. Education level, time with the company, time it takes to complete projects, reliability, performance reviews, etc. In the government and military you have pay grades so there's only a couple factors. But private companies won't pay all software engineers that have been with them for 5 years $90k per year, for example.
