I think yuppies do, certainly. When building for a long term relationship, I would absolutely want someone higher or equal in status/abilities. I want someone I respect in a partnership, I do not want to come home to a bimbo. I'd definitely be willing to compromise a bit on looks, although of course the tradeoffs are there.

Agreed. There's a real issue people seem to not want to discuss. I'm Asian, and there's a serious problem with this. I get matches 2x hotter on tinder in Asia than I do in America.

I dislike the reinforcement of racial stereotypes here. But also, the hotter you are in general, the less interesting you will be. That relationship is stronger for women because typically their value has come from being hot.
