Wouldn't I be an incel and not a volcel if I actually tried to get sex but failed? I did get matches on apps and all but didn't pursue them because I didn't think they were my kind of people.

I guess I'm a volcel (22m virgin) because I really don't feel like pursuing casual sex. It seems too shallow, I think it doesn't suit my personality type. I get big crushes on particular women I come across regularly and I can only think about them pretty much, so I don't want to subject myself to the casual sex grind just to sleep with random women.

Yeah but that's only according to your values. I think that double standards should change and that they should be the same morally, emotionally etc. I think that visiting a prostitute reveals no more about a man than casual sex does about a woman, because the difference is only in the availability.

My problem with this is that you are disqualifying the guy by his ability to get casual sex from other women. You're letting random women decide for you based on superficial criteria. I don't think not being into the stupid casual sex game should be indicative of value. At least you're not moralizing about it though.

I mean I did of course expect it to be the consensus of women outside of this sub in the real world. But not the women on this sub.

I can't believe how many answers here immediately disqualify such men. How is it different from casual sex where often the man has to pay indirectly? Many men also have a greater physical urge for sex. To me it reeks of hypocrisy and groupthink.

The answer to your question.

Yeah as an incel in his early 20s, I actually do feel exactly this. I'm not proud of it though. I have to spend so much time every day jerking off. Fucking sucks.

I'm almost 23 and I live in California. Yes I have exclusively male social circles. The main problem is my personality and outlook. Like I said I simply cannot chase people to like me for ulterior motives (ie those other than to enjoy their personality). I am also quite shy and struggle to bring up spicy or flirty topics. Like most men on these kind of subs, I have an egalitarian outlook where I subconsciously expect equality between men and women. I expect to engage equally with both men and wo…

Interesting. Well I can anecdotally attest to the very viewpoint you are arguing against. I'm 6'3", play sports and multiple musical instruments and am reasonably fit. I also identify as an incel, and have had no romantic/sexual contact whatsoever. Got rejected twice, and have had maybe 1 girl show any interest in me. I don't have really high standards for looks either. I chalk it to the fact that I'm extremely introverted, and can't talk about random stuff for too long. Most of my friends are a…

That's exactly what he is saying is not the case. Because of the hope and imagination and plateau thing.

Hmm yeah. Also now that I think about it, my opinion of people has shifted significantly if I had a fight with them, near the time of the fight.

This is true, but don't be extrapolating too much from FDS. It's a cesspool.

Can someone explain to me why women even date men who they later describe as absolute pieces of shit? I'm confused. I mean I've never changed my opinion about someone so drastically as from date-worthy to "absolute piece of shit".

Check out r/femaledatingstrategy . It's really easy to see the behaviour that MGTOWs complain about over there. Also, some subs like TRP even use evolutionary explanations of sexual behaviour which mostly make sense in my opinion.

I don't understand why all the hate for this poor guy. Even though his shirt says "feminist father" it's nowhere near feminazi.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
