It’s probably worth all men on earth learning now to habitually avoid eye contact with women… because all eye contact from men is creepy. 🤔 and women are creeped out simply my a man’s presence. lolShort, 1-2 second eye contact is routine, unavoidable, and inoffensive. Prolonged eye contact or staring is unnerving. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/03/23 10:08 AM
What are some things you like about being your gender? Not a lack of care — I am happier when my living space is tidy — just a lack of motivation/willpower. I see it as something like having a deadline on an assignment to make sure I don’t procrastinate. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 09:49 PM
What are some things you like about being your gender?I agree about strict gender roles. All of those things you mentioned are pretty annoying, though being constantly driven to fuck does have its benefits. Motivates me to keep my room clean, for instance. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 09:41 PM
What are some things you like about being your gender?Agreed. One of my favorite feelings is getting really competitive about something, especially something ridiculous and unimportant. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 09:25 PM
What are some things you like about being your gender?I love this! Very true about clothing. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 09:23 PM
Given that there is a list of things that men are expected to do in relationships that women aren’t, what is a list of things women are expected to do that men aren’t?Noted! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 08:11 PM
Given that there is a list of things that men are expected to do in relationships that women aren’t, what is a list of things women are expected to do that men aren’t?Many women put aside their own ambitions in favor of starting a family or supporting his ambitions. Women are expected to carry the mental load, remember things for their husband and kids | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 07:04 PM
Given that there is a list of things that men are expected to do in relationships that women aren’t, what is a list of things women are expected to do that men aren’t?Walking on the side of the pavement is definitely a thing I’ve heard of before, but I’ve never noticed it being expected of me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 07:02 PM
| – | Is “I want a smart man” the socially acceptable way of simply saying “I want a rich man”?Fair, grad level is enough to get a sense of what it’s like. But I want to clarify: are you using IQ abstractly or literally? Do you mean 130 IQ as “scores 130 on an IQ test?” Because I just don’t know why you’re putting this much stock in the IQ test. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 06:54 PM |
Women here advise guys to "touch grass" and "talk to actual women" yet stigmatize and threat profile men for approaching them“Talk to women” means literally talk to women, not cold-approach women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 06:37 PM

Women here advise guys to "touch grass" and "talk to actual women" yet stigmatize and threat profile men for approaching themI get that you’re probably just mad about something and want to lash out, but come on. This is stupid. Just have a normal conversation. This doesn’t accomplish anything | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 06:35 PM
Is “I want a smart man” the socially acceptable way of simply saying “I want a rich man”?No issues with it personally, but unfortunately designing missiles isn’t as popular as designing rockets. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/03/23 09:11 PM
Is “I want a smart man” the socially acceptable way of simply saying “I want a rich man”?Probably depends on the aerospace. If you work for NASA, then that’s extremely high-status, and you can almost go around telling other people that their jobs are “not exactly rocket science.” If you design weapons of war, that’s an example of a very well-paid but not very prestigious job. Most aerospace positions are somewhere in between. I left out engineering because I’m not as familiar with those types of jobs. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/03/23 01:43 PM
Is “I want a smart man” the socially acceptable way of simply saying “I want a rich man”?It’s kind of funny to have a standard for being “not dumb” that less than 1 in 30,000 people meet and then to use IQ as the criterion. I mean, yeah the IQ test is reasonably useful for people close to 100 and for diagnosing certain mental illnesses like ADHD, but surely for picking out the smartest humans alive you would care more about someone’s abilities to solve hard problems creatively than their ability to rotate shapes quickly or remember long strings of numbers. The notion that someone wi… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/03/23 01:38 PM
Is “I want a smart man” the socially acceptable way of simply saying “I want a rich man”?Maybe off-topic, but elite US institutions aren’t quite as full of old money as they used to be. Harvard for instance has over half of its students on need-based financial aid. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/03/23 04:40 AM
Is “I want a smart man” the socially acceptable way of simply saying “I want a rich man”?Law Medicine Consulting Investment Banking Journalism Politics Software engineering (this one isn’t always prestigious, but the well-paid ones are) Some academic or scientific research positions, depending on rank and institution. Postdocs, lecturers, and adjunct professors are typically not that high-status for instance. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/03/23 02:08 AM
Guys. Would you date someone who is boring, timid, and not funny? Ladies, how about you?I’m a guy, and I don’t think I could date or be friends with someone who isn’t funny. I’m pretty easy to make laugh, but if you can’t clear that bar then hanging out with you wouldn’t be as fun. Boring is similar to how I am, so I take that as a neutral thing. I like spontaneous people because they push me out of my comfort zone, but I also like my comfort zone because it’s quite comfortable. Timid would depend on how timid. She can’t make phone calls? That’s fine, it’s super common. She doesn’t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/03/23 04:09 AM
How do you think AI will affect dating? What effects has it already had?Online dating becomes unusable High unemployment rates and greater wealth inequality, which I expect to happen to a small degree, will definitely impact the dating market, but I’m not knowledgeable enough to say how. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/03/23 03:58 AM
What are some double standards you’ve noticed with men and women’s standards/preferences for one anotherTo echo /u/Dagenius1: height, bisexuality. Some others: Men don’t value education as much as women do, which is a double-standard both ways: men have higher expectations put on them, disadvantaging less-educated men, and women aren’t rewarded as much for being high-achieving, disadvantaging highly-educated women. Men don’t appreciate funny women the way women like funny men. It doesn’t really get you anywhere. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/03/23 02:49 AM
Men are not oppressed by women, they feel entitled to womenThat’s a good description but it feels a bit weird to call it a league term, it’s been used for chess since 1960. Elo is just a specific chess player’s last name | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/03/23 02:09 PM
Actual evidence that women are treated better than men overall ?Suicide rates in Afghanistan are lower for both genders than they are in the US. Does that mean both genders have it better in Afghanistan than they do in the US? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/03/23 04:54 PM
CMV: Complimenting a woman you're interested in on looks is dumb and almost always detrimental.Ooh, he’s a good one too | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/03/23 09:50 AM
Actual evidence that women are treated better than men overall ?Here’s the suicide data: https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SH.STA.SUIC.MA.P5?locations=TD Men in Chad have been killing themselves at 3x the rate of women since 2000. Measured by feminist groups. Creators of (among other things)… The organization that found Chad to have a gender inequality ratio one of the worst in the world (third worst in Africa) is the World Economic Forum. If you want to discredit this group, how about you mention other things they have said which you disagree with other … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/03/23 08:57 AM
CMV: Complimenting a woman you're interested in on looks is dumb and almost always detrimental.Sure, but plenty of people still argue over whether he’s handsome or not. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/03/23 08:09 AM
CMV: Complimenting a woman you're interested in on looks is dumb and almost always detrimental.Benedict Cumberbatch | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/03/23 07:50 AM
Actual evidence that women are treated better than men overall ?I don’t find suicide rates to be a convincing indicator of which gender has it easier. Suicide rates account for a tiny percent of the population. At best, suicide rate discrepancies can attest that the worst-off members of one population are worse off than the worst-off of another. It’s a noisy statistic that is the outcome of a ton of different cultural factors. For instance, Chad has a high Suicide rate, and it’s much much higher for men than women (discrepancy is worse than the US). And yet,… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/03/23 11:44 PM
CMV: The female expectation of looking physically attractive is way, WAY more easier than the male expectation of being a provider. While it is true that for most people, staying attractive is easier than climbing the corporate ladder, the equivalent to the traditional expectation that “men are providers” is not just that “women stay pretty.” Under traditional gender roles, women are expected to defer to their husband, keep house, raise kids, and stay pretty. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/03/23 06:29 PM
Do you really want a stay at home wife? No, I have pretty strong career ambitions and would like to marry someone similarly focused. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/03/23 06:51 AM
