You can take the moral high ground and look for a wife bro that's respectable. Some people just want to have fun though

I am saying sometimes they say that as a lie so they do not appear promiscuous.

I don't want to sound like a creep but women saying "I have a boyfriend" or "I'm not sleeping with you tonight" are saying it because they have thought about it and they are convincing themselves not to jump on you. Doesn't take much more than a quick show of confidence to make it happen from there.

Telling women how thrilled I am with them has never been helpful unless we are in a steady relationship for a long time. And I mean long time. They want intrigue. Not answers.

Yeah people get lost in their heads about it. Like dating is bad if you aren't ready to marry the woman. It makes no sense. It's like asking "should I tell her I want to enjoy myself?" Just see where things go.

Quit sulking my guy. I have a friend who is 5'4 and ugly. He suffered from lead poisoning as a child. But he is bubbly, likes to dance, and acts very promiscuous, so he says this is what helps him pull girls even more often than I ever did. I am tired of coming on here, offering helpful advice, then seeing people whine and sulk. If you don't want my help, and don't want to help yourself, maybe don't comment.

I have had the most success after a move to a new location simply because I'm not "just another guy" and now I am someone that women know nothing about. I have lived all over the east coast. Maybe consider relocating for work. But make sure you have some hobbies on deck that will keep you around people outside of work. It is important to build a new social life quickly. Not a social circle... You can want to be independent of any specific group. You want a variety of people in different groups t…

Perhaps. Maybe you tell them too much and they deduce your experience and / or intentions. You can reveal a lot on social media but still have a "mystery" for them to solve because it might make them curious about how you are able to do your hobbies or trips or have a big social circle. Keep the words minimal though, you only want interesting photos up there, not paragraphs about who you are. When it comes down to it we are all pretty boring, generally. How many people do you know that backpack …

This is why I was always grateful to be born a dude. You can look like Freddy Krueger and get ass if you dress well and have a good vibe. For women they have to have some level of natural good looks to land a good man. I'm no model but I lost count of sex partners. Vast majority of them just didn't know much about me, wanted to learn more, and I struck while the iron was hot. I don't have much going for me other than height. I feel like OP might play his hand too quickly and women feel like they…

This. And if you end up bailing on one for another, cancelling late, it only helps you. That woman will be wondering about where she went wrong, and how she can make sure you want to see her next time

Yeah, he's fine. You need to have the confident mindset or you need to fake it. He has it. I mean it is lame to get super butthurt about another guy getting more attention, I would imagine that shit is a huge turn off for some women, but if he is keeping that in check then he is where a lot of dudes would love to be.

This is the reply. Some women like that look too. I once overheard a group of women saying how hot it is when their man comes home sweaty "with black shit under his fingernails" so op prolly pulling her with her "man working hard" fantasies lmao

So in the first situation it was with a woman I showed interest in at work and she went for my friend after I was a bit too available to her. After her casual fling with my friend ended, we remained friends, no hard feelings, so when a new employee started who went to school with her a few years prior, she also started sitting with us. Privately I pursued the friend and then she reciprocated interest. This made the original girl start pursuing me because she was jealous or maybe wondered why new…

By acting like it is not a big deal, showing 0 desperation, and making sure that they see you moving on. I have only "regained" a woman's interest by hooking up with women she knows, and making the uninterested woman believe I did not mind it at all when they started to get flaky. This has worked for me three times. Women lost interest because I revealed too much about myself. I wasn't the new / mysterious dude anymore. Then they see me moving on and think "wait maybe there's more". The key is n…

First time this happened to me I was like 20 years old. I put the moves on at end of the night and she went wild jumping on me. She sighed "jesus christ that took you forever!" They get lost in their own heads making them think it is promiscuous to initiate. To be fair a lot of dudes do judge body counts so this is what normal guys gotta deal with... initiating everything with most women

You need to play it back at them. "Whoa you already thinking about dating me? Let's just hang out for now." or you can be like 'Don't worry I didn't plan on proposing just yet'

Seriously. I have a friend who is good looking and has no idea how to approach a woman or talk to them. His sex partners have always been women who aggressively pursue him. He uses those terms, talks about masculinity... meanwhile I'm like bro you try to be beautiful so that your sex prospects approach you, this is the most feminine beta shit I can imagine, but I don't use those terms, he does 🤣

Some of the men who get the most ass are broke and in and out of jail all the time. It's 2024. It doesn't matter who makes more money, a broke ass can lead a woman to happiness and slap her ass the right way in bed even if she's a CEO.

In my experience it's best to tease them about being too serious when they say they have a bf. Consider it a tell, like they are convincing themselves they can't hook up with you... and that fact means that they want to. These aren't strangers giving you an excuse, they're women you know. Next time you try to hang with them and they give the bf line, say something like "I'm not really looking for a girlfriend but it's adorable that you thought about it like that" or something else along those li…

I had a situation like that. I just acted like I didn't care when I got turned down. Like "no big deal" because I knew I'd get laid elsewhere shortly after. Then, the second time we hung out, we had sex. Even that time she rejected my advances, then came onto me shortly after. Some girls play hard to get until they are literally pulling you inside of them. I don't understand it but I have seen it firsthand.

This is a good point, and I think part of the reason is our programming. We've (men) been brainwashed to believe we have to suffer for our family in a marriage, and that if there are any problems in the marriage, it's our fault because we aren't suffering enough... whether it's because we aren't working enough, or because we have the audacity to expect reciprocated efforts, or because we didn't accept our sexual needs being unfulfilled, I mean the list goes on and on. This is why a homeless man …

Because it's true in some cases. A good number of married women are used to having the luxury of being helpless while also having the freedom to spend whatever they want and do whatever they want while their husband is at work. Once they divorce, they suddenly have to be responsible for themselves, and "suffer the misery" of trying to look good enough to fool some other dude into marrying them. Guys are self reliant. Divorcing usually just wipes another obligation away. Then to make up for this,…

Literally every joke is made at the expense of someone. Scientists have studied humor... nothing gets people laughing harder than another person's light suffering. Think back to the funniest jokes you can remember, and I can guarantee somebody was offended by it because it was a joke made at their expense.

It really was just a joke. This is in the same realm as calling your wife "the old ball and chain". It's just some funny BS that people forget about seconds later. OP picked a very strange battle here.

Communism isn't slavery. While I wouldn't agree with communism because of what I have learned about my own personal experiences, we haven't had an actual communist government anywhere at any time in the world. We have had dictators pretending that communism is what they're doing when it's nothing close. You have an irrational fear of communism because of what they taught us in our schools. It's the only way our country can justify Vietnam and misdeeds in South America.
/r/MensRights13/11/17 06:37 PM

This is where the rational discussion stops because people who buy into the "OMFG THE ANTIFAS ARE COMING FOR OUR FAMILIES!" have ideas rooted in fear. They'll talk and talk and talk until you point out how wages have become stagnant and how oligarchs have seized 99% of success... then they'll stop or call you an Obummer Soros troll.

Humor, by definition, very often involves laughing at the pain that other people endure. It's human nature. Just look at the three stooges, or numerous other comic routines. Is it fucked up? Yes, I wouldn't disagree if you said it is. But that's just what makes people laugh unfortunately.

I think the fact that many feminists are so irrational is what turns people bigoted against their positions. I dislike that we have people who want male superiority in the MRA movement as a direct result of it. Feminists who back up their positions with data and know that terms like mansplaining are also sexist, their efforts mirror many of ours in a way.
/r/MensRights06/11/17 05:13 PM

She doesn't have any opinions or ideals or values to stand for. She stands for Hillary and the data she feels will help her stand the longest. That's why she flipflops on so many positions. Unfortunately she's almost the same as every mainstream politician, her only difference being that she's been under a microscope. They all suck.

This is awesome. "We're being irrational and people keep explaining that we're irrational. How do we stop this? We will call it mansplaining and that will dissuade them." I loved the video of Australian politicians debating. A woman told the guy he was mansplaining and he shut her up so quickly by mansplaining to her that she's just being a sexist asshole for saying that.

I appreciate you saying that. I try to look at data to make decisions instead of lean toward what some people might consider to be normal or regular. And because I've lived in so many different places it's very easy for me to consider culture or tradition to be secondary to facts.

I can see why people oppose gun rights. But the fundamental flaw in that logic is that we already have more than 300 million privately owned guns in the US. That alone means restricting gun rights will always empower the criminals.

I've moved quite a bit for my work, but my closest friends back home are sane. I'm not too picky about who I consider friends to be quite honest. If you aren't spiteful or hateful, I'll give you a chance. And consider that I'm a 2nd amendment supporting leftist. I oppose all gun control. So if I only picked friends that shared my views, I'd have no friends. If someone is polite and harmless, I'll have a beer with them. Yes, I'm leftist, but most of my friends are conservative. It's not just authorities ignoring logic here. A friend of mine recently had a daughter and my partner and I were telling him that he was lucky in a way, because he didn't have to consider circumcision for the child, since these days, it's different from when we were born (almost everyone I know, including myself, was circumcised shortly after birth) and a much higher percentage of families are choosing not to put their boys through that. yeah but are you trying to imply that there was an alternative after the primaries? look at the Sessions justice department. it's indistinguishable from 90's Clinton policies of locking people up and locking people up then locking people up. and Trump is proud that he's "tough on crime" and wants to "expand stop and frisk" etc. crime is generally higher in areas of poverty, and blacks are generally in poor areas, so that's not doing them any favors. You felt the need to point out "white male privilege" instead of just "male privilege" in your title, and then you felt guilty enough to give me a 500 word reply. This isn't the first time that you've argued with people about "not supporting nazis" so my comment isn't exactly far fetched. Look at the title of this guy's post and his post history. He doesn't have to bring racial BS into this sub. But he's racist, so of course he'd throw "white" in there. I'm pointing that out so people can see how common this shit is.

They need to do something about this because it happens more often than we hear. The main barrier is when laws disincentivize actual victims from coming forward... it's already very difficult for a victim to press charges and deal with everything that entails. Even with that, pieces of shit abuse the system and everyone pays the price.

Not only that but people are fucking stupid for calling this terrorism / terroristic. This is a problem, no doubt. But to put it on par with actual massacres or actual terrorism? C'mon. Compared to terrorism, feminism and MRA are a fucking luxury. Just ask any soldier who's been stationed overseas. While they'd obviously agree that banning paternity tests is silly, they'd say that only naive people are equating this with terrorism.

referring to feminism as "terroristic" is stupid for more than one reason. I mean c'mon now. Irrational, extreme, unnecessary now that women have more than equal rights (they eclipsed equality and now they're privileged), those all make perfect sense. But to brand them with terms like this... it doesn't help anyone or anything. Edit: downvoted into oblivion for this comment while my other comment with nearly identical context gets upvoted. This is spot-on. All cancer sucks, but we have more money going into the 'for the cure' pyramid scheme than we do for other cancers that need far more research and / or funding. Globalism =/= hysterical feminism. I'm not even sure why you mentioned that. It's like your begging for MRA to become another right-wing safespace. I agree with you, a lot of us do. But we're outnumbered by altright losers who have never gotten their penis wet. Outnumbered by literal pussies who lack manhood to such a degree that they feel threatened by a female choosing to become a man, a bigger man than they've ever been.

because you see the power of the system in place, and that power isn't always pointed in the right direction. you don't fix the problem by making it harder for rape victims. you fix the problem by acknowledging more of them.

This shit enrages me. We have to teach the left to understand that the issues rape victims face don't only apply only to women. If this situation gets you angry, it should get you angry whether the victim is male or female. In this case, had the victim been a woman, she'd have all the support she needs (and rightfully so). But since it's a man, we go right back to the old rightwing "rape victims ain't our problem unless they want an abortion" mentality, when men need support too, even more than …

racism is applying statistics or facts or descriptions to groups of people in order to make it appear that most or all members of that race fit that narrative. if you have have some black friends or if you've avoided lynching blacks or saying the N word for most of your adult life, that doesn't mean you aren't a racist. i see so many people blaming black culture for crime and poverty in a country with more guns than people, and no one mentioning systemic racism.

I honestly don't understand the point. If I wanted to use the same logic as Eric, I'd say you're points don't matter because you only have 24 karma. Doesn't that sound silly? It's an implication that your opinion doesn't matter, you don't care about men's rights, that you're just a troll. Although that could be true, considering you're using "like a woman" as an insult, and implying that "words matter" when I'd be willing to bet that in any other context you'd likely claim that you disagree with…

As OP for one of your referenced posts, I agree with you 100% On a somewhat unrelated note, I'm disappointed that numerous people are making accusations about me. People claim to have reviewed my entire post history, saying I don't post here and that I'm an anti-MRA feminist. It's lies and slander. I admit that I am leftist. no you're right, i've only thought about it very generally. when you look back to the 1800's, women weren't even given opportunities to be educated. so i imagine that before then, most women weren't afforded the opportunity to know enough to get a chance at making a difference. that's why 99% of the greatest achievements in history before the early 1900s were directly attributed to men. women started fighting for feminism once they were afforded the same opportunities as men and became more educ…

The first part of your statement isn't true. I'm saying conservatism isn't the answer because the narrative right now is in the hands of the left. They are the ones succeeding in making people believe in the myths about the pay gap. So until we get them to see the truth on this, it'll be nearly impossible to fix. Conservatives don't fight for MR... they just fight not to change things. and things need to change if we want them to get better. EDIT: so when you side with conservatism, and claim th…

The problem is that you call it fake news when WSJ reports what happened. You're supposed to form your own opinion. If they tell you Disney cut ties with him, and explain why, and also mention that it's being considered anti-semitic, that's just good journalism whether you agree or disagree. This makes sense. My perspective is that men had all the power in the world for thousands of years. When society tried to balance that, they went too far, and that's how the MRA movement started... guys went from all the power to all the blame. Now men have to deal with crazy shit like paying for kids that aren't theirs, dumping half their money on child support when they can't even see their kids, the list goes on and on

Yep. Men get trapped for decades, trying to do what they can to be good fathers, but the mothers get more credit simply for existing and giving birth. What a joke. Not to marginalize how difficult it is giving birth, but decades of working 60 - 70 hour weeks to pay for your kids that you never get to see sucks pretty bad too.

You don't know what censorship is. You probably think it's censorship if you get fired for wearing a swastika t-shirt. People can say what they want (aside from threats) without the fear of arrest or punishment. That's free speech, that's what needs to be protected. If Milo wants to tell the whole world that 13 year old boys can't be molested by adult men, he's free to do so (like he has) without fear of jail or punishment from the government. This is a good idea and it makes sense. For context as to why I said that, I don't have proof but I assumed that in the 1700s or 1800s, divorce was so rare that it's hard to know how custody was dealt with. My assumption was that in the rare cases it happened, whoever owned the home or had the income would get custody. Do you have any articles or stories that shed light on how custody battles have been handled historically? That's not to argue either, I 100% agree that once it became a legal iss…

I can tell people that want to 'kill all men' that they're thinking is based on hatred, not logic, and I am applying that here as well. I agree that we'll have bad apples... but it's our job to separate them from the people who actually care about MRA, and not let the vocal bigots overshadow the movement. Concern trolling? That's a new one, great spin you put on it. I'm tired of people trying to justify hatred. That's not what any movement should be about. I want to be as far away as possible from any movement based on hatred, but I'm reluctant to give up on men's rights because it's only a vocal minority trying to act the same way as feminists but on the opposite end of the spectrum

First off, I am complaining. I can complain. We don't have equal rights, we lose custody of our children nearly every time, we get arrested for domestic violence when we're actually the victims, we lose money because people pretend the pay gap is real... If we want people to take those things seriously, it doesn't help us to have bigoted thoughts or pretend transgender people don't exist, which ignores scientific consensus

That's not true, regardless of the upvotes. Yes, the term 'the red pill' references the scene in the movie. Yes it references a subreddit. But it also references the TRP movement too. That's the only reason why feminists are protesting it.

are you that fucking stupid that you'd think someone who regularly posts on the men's rights subreddit should be referred to as an SJW? go read my other comments on here. you're a keyboard warrior. you've never been vocal about your opinions in real life, so you come on reddit with a raging hard-on and try to target random people like me. don't act like you're some fucking crusader trying to save men from child support payments that take up most of their income. because that's a real issue, and …

i don't know the guy other than to say he's referred to trans people as absurd.

You're arguing with the wrong person. Nowhere in any of my posts have I argued in favor of gender neutral / made-up pronouns. Idiots like you and this guy are legitimizing it by talking about it. Stop fighting battles that don't exist, as a fucking idiot would.

It's okay for a man to be offended if referred to as a woman, but not for anyone else to be referred to differently? Okay.

I agree. I'm not saying anything about the legality of it. I'm saying this isn't a MR issue.

PC culture? I don't know what that is. But being politically correct has helped alienate racists. Some have gone off the deep end for sure, just google Hugh Mungus to see, but i don't think the intent was to hurt anyone when the idea was first considered

I am willing to discuss. It appears some people believe that he's a hero for standing up against made-up pronouns. I don't care about made-up pronouns, and that has nothing to do with what I said. People are looking to him to validate their idea that it's not fucked up to call a trans woman a man, or a trans man a woman. If he is in line with calling people by their preferred sex, and he tells people like the commenter we were talking about that they're assholes, then that's cool, maybe he's not…

i know a lot of men who would be offended if you refer to them as women.

And you aren't human. hopefully your comment here gets upvoted so that it gives me all the incentive i need to understand that this subreddit condones bigotry. i've been a subscriber here for years, but i won't pretend i agree with people like you fighting to make bathroom laws more strict. i wish there was a place for people like me that support common decency and don't disrespect LGBT or minorities, but have a desire to fix situations for men where they lose kids unfairly in divorce, find no r…

Look you're clearly more knowledgable about these things, so i appreciate your response. My point is that this man has nothing to do with men's rights. Calling someone he or she is not something that the men's rights movement should worry about. It's about personal opinions and common decency. If people want to make a stand against how to refer to transgender people then they should go to an altright subreddit and stop making all supporters of men's rights seem like red piller Milo followers. I …

What if he wants to use the N word when addressing any blacks? Where is the line drawn? Why can't people be referred to in the manner they prefer and why does this have anything to do with men's rights? Fighting for men's rights should not be synonymous with right wing ideals. It makes no sense and only hurts our credibility. We want to expose that the gender pay gap is a myth, we want spousal abuse support to include battered men, we want men to not have to worry about losing their kids in ever…

You're either trolling or ignoring me. Don't tell me about majorities, it's all subjective, and you don't have data. We won't agree on anything. Edit: to everyone arguing that people should be able to refer to one another how they want, where is the line drawn? People argued that way to keep using the N word i'm sure. But I can't reply to everyone, this thing only allows me to post once every 10 minutes. If men's rights can't tolerate trans people or refer to them how they prefer, then that is f…

No. I said he's an asshole being harassed by assholes.

Well he's wrong. What's next, racists argue that they should be able to refer to blacks as the N word? Because that's their freedom of speech? If someone wants you to address them by their chosen sex, and you are saying you won't, then that makes you intolerant. Does that mean the vandalism is justified? No way, that's actually absurd. But it has nothing to do with MR.

No, he's a bigot who thinks trans people are 'absurd'. Everyone who speaks out against political correctness is not a friend to men's rights. Do some people take being a SJW too far? Of course. People take peanut butter too far too. I don't agree with what was done to him, but this is no place for posting about assholes who get harassed for being assholes. All he's done is make trans people feel inadequate and fought against people deciding their own gender. What, is this subreddit only for natu…

Where are you finding these girls who have options to offer? Mine just says 'lets watch a movie' and 'i dunno which one' or 'lets go out to eat' and then 'i dont know where' This comment is kind of a joke, i love my girl. But its sooo annoying when she says she doesnt know, i make a proposition, and she says 'not that' Bitch if you dont want to eat or watch something, what DO you want to eat or watch? This is harmless banter of course, because we've been together 12 years and each day is better …

You literally said that four or five different majors will only be for positions as 'secretaries' EDIT: Obviously this is bigotry, and i compared it to 'white power' but not in the sense that you're literally being a white supremacist. You just feel that your definition of women can't get jobs as anything other than secretaries, which isn't much different than saying one group is superior to another since you'd never compare a man in the public admin field to be a secretary There is a real need …

men statistically murder at a much higher rate than women. why do we keep crying about this? quit wasting your energy and start choosing to expose more important men's rights problems, like guys getting kicked out of universities over fake rape accusations. that is a problem. not the fact that people generalize murder as being committed mostly by men

it's just that it was pointless to add to the story... "by the way, i'm so alpha that my standards are way high." we get the point, a girl shouldn't score points because of her looks. or are you saying that if she was hot then she would deserve points?

hey man just make sure you are certain before you tell her you don't want to be married any longer. you might just have an itch that needs to be scratched. get the hell out of that situation for a little while, maybe a week or something. see how badly you miss it and then decide from there. good luck
