rape hoaxing? i don't particularly like dunham's politics but i haven't heard of this. and hillary clinton only started support gay marriage recently. so much for equality.

my ex (not married) split when she was pregnant and i had to fight for any custody at all in court. at this last christmas, i was sitting alone because it's "not my year" while she had xmas dinner with my daughter and her ex from before me who used to sell cocaine to my really fucked up friend. i probably paid for that meal with 600/month in support.

this is great, but the sad truth is that alienation is far more subtle and manipulative than this woman's very brazen behavior.

gotcha. yes, totally agreed. i have similar issues as a father on a playground or at a school event. we're all just deadbeats or rapists in waiting, right?

Jesus. This is the plot of so many horror movies that end in crazy people murdering innocents.

I'm under no delusion that false accusations are "worse" than being raped. But they're still fucking awful. Seriously? "Get some new friends"? Fuck that person.

It's a political reward to the department for enforcing support against us nasty deadbeats.

Not a mention of custody anywhere in the discussion.

i try. it's been a really rough time, getting by. imagine the deepest love you've known in your life and then having that taken away from you 80% of the time and being forced to pay for that privilege and that's about what it's like. or exactly what it's like. it's disgusting.

i did all that already. i'm just shocked by it all. i never considered it before having my own child and custody dispute...how easy it is for a mother to totally fuck a father over. in this case, the guy is ON the birth certificate but that is meaningless.

there's a lot of anger about custody because the system favors mothers and treats men like cash machines and not equal parents. if you're in this sub truly because you believe in "men's rights," and you believe in the mother's rights as well, it sounds like you're on the right track.

save yourself a lot of time and pain and accept the situation for what it is ASAP. this child deserves both parents as much as possible unless one or the other puts the kid at risk. be smart and respectful and you can still raise a happy, healthy kid in two homes. also be respectful of the kid's sanity. after that many years, getting them into a new pattern of being with you is going to take a WHILE.

Good luck to you. If you do things right your kid will benefit greatly from your presence

You are not going to get custody. Nor should you. Visitations are where you start. Missouri has more fair custody and family laws than Kansas.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
