I'm not entirely opposed to bars. What puts me off is too much crowd and too much noise. I'm more or less neutral towards "bar people". If someone is interesting, I'd like them irrespective of the setting we're in. I haven't read a single self-help book. Maybe I should read at least one. No harm in trying I guess.

In general, the terms that PUA uses do put me off. It may have started off as fun in its initial days, but now I think it's getting you guys a bad rep, at least from people who don't want to fuck around with women. For me personally, the takeaway from seddit has been inner game and these minor social tricks that you mention. But whenever someone says "k-close" and "f-close" and "sets", an alarm goes off in my mind screaming "douche douche douche". Thanks for the links! I'll take a look. :)

Being an introvert doesn't mean that you can't communicate with people. True. I can communicate with people. I'm just not good at smalltalk with random strangers.

First off, I do wanna thank you guys for your posts on inner game. It has made me a lot more confident than what I was a couple of months back.
