I think that's more of a honor thing rather than a gender role. Sacrificing yourself for others is a very common thing in the bible.

could you please send me the bible citation that says something about gender roles?

The only gender roles in the bible are that a man must be a husband and a father. That is it. About the priests, I'm not familiar with catholic or protestant priests, but orthodox priests are very neutral and dedicated to correct preaching. It is nothing like this in here.

Christianity didn't create the gender roles (there isnt a single mention of gender roles in the bible, correct me if i am wrong), it was rather a tradition at this point. Homosexuality is kinda not a sin (liking the same gender). Only homosexual sex is a sin, but that probably falls under the Lust category. Trans men arent sinners either.

Christianity is a relatively controlling religion, compared to buddhism for example. However, it's alot more liberal than islam or judaism or alot of other religions though. And yes, homosexuality is a sin. HOWEVER! It is not a sin to simply like men. Only gay sex is a sin, but I'd say thats rather a lust thing. So yea.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
