The OP was about how to communicate with her bf. My advice was to frame it as communicating how it made her feel, rather than being anxious about the outcome and pre-determining what the future would hold. The end result may look the same but the process is more harmonious and more respectful of his role in the relationship. You don't unilaterally decide to change your relationship with hard boundaries on things that may be important to him. You present your emotions and he decides how to procee…

So, if I one day said "BJs make me feel degraded, I'm not doing them anymore" and expect my SO to be fine with it, because it's a new boundary I have decided on... you think that is an RP approach to communication?

Exactly, keep an eye on any urges to 'control' a man. It's not what this sub is about.

No, I am suggesting she trusts him to lead their relationship.

Are you suggesting her bf will continue with an activity that makes her feel degraded and humiliated, once she has communicated that to him?

You discuss it transparently and not with a fixed outcome in mind. Remember the RPW advice "bring him the problem, not the solution"? - your objective is not to definitely not participate in this kink anymore, your objective is to communicate to him the feelings that have arisen in you about it, and to receive his support/feedback on that.

I use wise.com (I think it's called transferwise now) to send money into other currencies as the charges are much lower than my bank. He would need your bank account details in order to do it (including IBAN but you can find that on your statement). That could be a good way to address the situation, send him the website and let him know this might be more cost efficient, and advise him of the amount at the same time. I don't think you can be expected to go carry-on only to the states as you need…

What is it that you don't like? Genuine question to reflect on. If you consider RP theory, having other women attracted to your man makes you like him more. Perhaps there is an exception here, entirely possible, or perhaps it is basic insecurity that you are not 'enough' for him, but.... perhaps also your discomfort stems from an envy towards this particular girl... I just watched an interesting video (unrelated topic) where she pointed out that when you feel judgemental or envious of another, i…

I know you said you feel uncomfortable because of their past but my thought is that your discomfort is more from what might happen in future - that you fear that if left alone together, she would make a move on him and he would not be strong enough to resist? Am I right in that perception? If so, I suggest a very clear (and calm) conversation with him where you explain that she gives you bad vibes because you think she is capable of such behaviour. That she might see it as a game, or a power pla…

You have to remember that men (who love us) see beyond the superficial and appreciate more about us than we might think. They appreciate looking at a variety of body shapes but ultimately they see depth in us that is associated with their emotional connection and is meaningful in ways that cannot easily be articulated or replicated by a social media post. Stop comparing yourself to others and be the best you you can be for him. Trust his opinions and perspectives, they are the only ones you need…

Any advice from people who have learned to actually train themselves to enjoy a high level of submission check out sisters-in-submission.co if you are sure this man has what is needed to care for you emotionally and you want to follow his lead.

He is a fear based human and will never know true joy. Because he is constantly performing. Constantly in a state of striving and fear. Empty. I honestly feel like I witnessed how evil is born. It is born out of a state of fear, and a state of trauma that has shut down the humanity in a person. oh wow. wow. this is so amazingly perceptive, thank you. i feel like you just described my ex husband... so so sad. a person lost in a shell of fear stemming from trauma. he wanted to love but he didn't k…

Have you seen this TED Talk - Brene Brown on Vulnerability ? As a scientist, and someone who has/had similar traits as you describe, I could really relate to her in this..... being vulnerable is scary; that's the incredible strength of femininity, to have the courage to be vulnerable... We are not men, and we are not supposed to be men :)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
