I don't even think it matters if you find the "unicorn" - the unicorn lives in a toxic era - she still holds a grenade in her hand, and she'll have friends (and the sisterhood at large) telling her she can use it any time. Also, "my unicron won't change" is a precarious way to look at the future. People DO change. Women have the apparatus to ruin your life...she's excited by you today, bored with you tomorrow, and she has all kinds of options that turn you into a wage slave.

Is remembering our birthday what potentially qualifies them as a unicorn now? What's so special and unique about that? Have our standards dropped so low? This is like seeing your wife carry a pillow during your house move and you say "oh darling, wonderful, you're such a star to help!!" when you're carrying a piano on your back.

Good for you, and I respect that you are shutting off from the toxic culture. It's the ONLY way it won't affect you. Even if you're the most saintful person, the culture will demand that you are not living a full life being a """victim""" of a husband/lifestyle that is """holding you back""". Ultimately though, the problem for men is that a human being can change, and they often do. That toxic apparatus is available for ANY woman to slaughter a man anytime she likes. She can go from "I am not li…

Not worth it guys they can turn when it suits them. Women can turn on a sixpence. The guys who say "my wife wouldn't do that" don't realise their wives live in a toxic culture. Their friends will be telling them on Facebook how they're single life is great, they're getting wasted on alcohol every weekend and all this rubbish. A woman has to become a hermit to not allow this toxic culture to seep into her life. The "I'm not like that" women who claim to be good might very well be good...but they …

The only men who "need" women are young men. I'm 47 like the OP and what you've said here is so true. As you get older you accumulate wealth and assets...and then...you realise...you don't need a woman with you. There's company to be had outside the home if I need it, but I like solitude too. Being a man, you cultivate a life of self-sufficiency. That's something a woman struggles to do. They are needy all through their life.

What a post. These are the words of a man who has lived and seen a lot. I'm also midway through my years and you're right - you really have to be so careful of the company you keep. I keep my life simple, and I also spend much of my time alone. Never trust someone who fears spending time by themselves. And I think MOST people fear their own company. They cling onto people. They NEED people. Women are needy. They need a man or a government or society...to stick up for them. In a way, I pity them.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
