With compulsory military service for both, you would have equal amounts of women and men, except if men perform better, they get promoted higher up in a meritocracy, meaning that the grunts will be majority women rather than men. You don't do a fitness test before conscription service. Conscription service is what gets you fit. You just need to pass a medical exam. 7	86% of suicides are male in my country try I think that's basically the case in most places. I've also read that although most suicides are by men, women have more attempted suicides. I can't be sure why that is, but I think it's partly the fact that men use more "efficient" methods of suicide, like shooting themselves or jumping off tall buildings, while women use methods like cutting themselves or taking a bunch of pills.
