Typically, taking an Uber twice a day would cost more than a median car payment. So no, I wouldn’t use an Uber. We also shouldn’t assume that there is anyone taking care of this woman/girl other than herself. Like I said, not everyone can afford to buy a car.

Many people take the bus every day to work and back, and even to run basic errands. It might cost them a dollar (really I have no idea what bus fare is) where Ubers can easily reach 10x-20x-30x+ that. Most people who take the bus have no other alternative. You’re absolutely being ridiculous.

As If it were that easy. Not everyone has the luxury of just saying “I’m going to buy my wife a car today.” Personally, yes I would and I have because I’ve been lucky enough to be able to afford nice things but I know many people who could never just go pick up a 2nd vehicle. Also, keep in mind that in many cities/cultures public transportation is the most practical, not just the most economical.

I know we’re not going to get upvotes in PPD but I’m with you. If this were my pregnant wife or my pregnant daughter the last place I’d want her standing is on a moving bus. In this situation I would hope that someone would have compassion for the disabled/pregnant/elderly and not only give up their seat but ask them to please, sit down.
