How does one handle sets of two past open in a dance situation? So, you're in the grind phase with your person of choice and things are escalating. Then the friend says something or other and now they have to leave. My impression is that she is worried that I'll abscond with her friend and leave her in the dust. I've had this happen twice now and it seems to warrant some thinking of how to find a compromise between our two viewpoints so that we are both happy. Her position is valid, I am trying …

The advice seems to be "follow conventional wisdom", which we already know is absolute bullshit.

Every drink has to be followed by a cup of water. If you are still going too fast, two cups, etc. Drink the water as fast as you would the drink. Slows you down and has the benefit of greatly reducing hangovers.

With regards to conversation on approach, is the best strategy to focus the conversation on her (i.e. what she does and her interests) and wait for her to inquire about you? Or is it better to interject "you" into the conversation to have the focus be artificially 50/50? Or if she isn't "throwing the ball back" just drop it because that means she's not interested?

I PM'd you. It's perfectly OK if you changed you mind. If you did, then don't worry about it.

I'll consider it. My only concern is that I don't know how appropriate this post would be given the context of posts I see on there right now. I got a few "leads" from this post. I'll post something there if those don't pan out. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm sure it is as you say, which is why it is so infuriating that my mind is preventing me from taking advantage.

I've only been here since september, but, so far, I love this place. The city and campus is great as far as atmosphere is concerned. It has a very good public transit system as well. Now, since this is /r/seduction, I'll add that there are a lot of very attractive women here. This is not something that you should base your decision on (there are attractive women everywhere) but it definitely stands out as compared to where I went to undergrad. Edit: Also, being a graduate student, I want to emph…

I'm not understanding what is beta about asking if she is in a hurry or not because I'm not getting it. Along these same lines, is it beta to ask if you are making her uncomfortable if you are getting some signs of disinterest or aren't sure if she is comfortable or not? Playing the scenario out in my mind, I would have asked this on the way to Starbucks and I'm wondering if this is the right thing to do.

Then I must be naive as well. I'm relatively new here and the overall impression that I get is that it emphasizes fixing yourself (i.e. inner game) in order to attract women. Granted, usually this is done with the objective of getting sex, but people are still fixing themselves so I don't really care.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
