There can be a number of reasons. Feminism is practically an umbrella term for any movement advocating for women’s rights. Unfortunately the very loud extremists take the name feminism and run it into the ground on some misandry type shit. I like to see myself as pro feminist, but not someone that supports a movement about pushing other genders down and acting like it’s for a noble cause. I am pretty sure a lot of people here might feel the same way, too.

One of my mom’s coworkers made creepy comments to me when I went to pick her up from work. She saw me and was like “is that your son?!” My mom said yes this is him and she was like “ohh tell him I could use a baby daddy”. I was like 19 and she was 30. Also in high school, girls used to talk about my ass and pinch/grab it while walking to and from my desk at times. I was too afraid to tell anyone like a teacher or principal because I thought no one would believe me.

That post is funny to me because it seems the tables are flipping. Most of my male friends love throwing it down on the kitchen and making some fucking amazing food that tastes almost as good as my parent’s homemade cooking. Meanwhile Stephanie on OnlyFans constantly talks about how they suck at cooking. I was also watching a “hot tub” stream on Twitch just to check it out and one of the conversations the broadcaster had was that they were terrible at cooking and only really Doordash food. I thi…

Toxic Masculinity is a byproduct of a household full of bigotry and ignorance, not just men. I’ve seen enough people in my school system with no fathering in the child’s life but enough ignorant ideals to have “toxic masculinity” as part of their behavior. And furthermore, I saw someone in the comments mention to define the term but at this point anything that feminazis deem an unlikeable trait portrayed by a male is toxic masculinity.

Because when women do it, it isn’t a bad kind of control. It means we are doing something wrong and they are doing the “right” thing to fix us. Like when we have female platonic friends, they just automatically know they’re secretly in love with us and won’t let you hang out with them because even though you’ve admitted numerous times you aren’t attracted to her, she’s afraid something might happen. Now if I were to say some shit like “I’m not comfortable with you having naked pictures on OnlyFa…

That shit is fucking disgusting and I feel awful for that poor child. Imagine living in a world where shit like this happens on the daily thanks to maternal privilege. Not to say there are nothing but bad moms but examples like these need to be taken into consideration when essentially blindly always choosing the maternal figure to raise the child.

I see your point, but going as far as saying that it is a slur is an overreaction. It’s weird, but it’s not like you’re being oppressed by biological language. It was just a stupid Tweet in my opinion.

I saw a tweet the other night that said “when men say female it sounds like a slur”. Essentially, the argument here is that it strips them of their power. Like ok, then you may not say “men” because in every way you say it, it is used in a way to either call out or belittle an entire gender rather than the subset you are actually talking about.

It’s a problem that I personally think stems largely from the Boy Scout controversy. They feel like not being all-inclusive is somehow antagonizing them by excluding them. Even if it is as simple as a meet up for young men to get together and lift each other up, they feel like exclusion from such a group means that men are trying to get ahead and therefore must be stopped. They’re trying to systematically break down any groupings that would “benefit” from any meeting so they can feel better abou…

This is so accurate. My mom used to be pretty messy but as soon as I got into high school years ago she would act as if she were the cleanest person in the world. Before, she’d sleep with a wine glass in her hand and spill it occasionally, leave a sink full of dishes, and never washed what she used. If I so much as forgot to empty the dishwasher after I got home from school, I would get completely chewed out. I remember getting my phone taken for some stupid shit like that.

Okay so let me say this. Recently, a study showed that the majority of male bosses were uncomfortable with mentoring women one on one. These women then complain that they are being oppressed. But now they say we shouldn’t be putting ourselves in the path of a potential rape accusation? Also, when women are catcalled by guys or groped because they’re wearing something skimpy and guys tell them to just dress a little more appropriately we are told not to tell them how to dress and that it’s their …

Women need to have something put between their legs to simulate balls and a penis and have them sit in wooden flat chairs without spreading their legs apart. I guarantee you more than half of them would bot be able to be comfortable.

A curious way to look at this data is to consider the fact that women are mostly validation seekers. Once most hit 30-35, they are considered past their prime (18-29). After this point, men tend to become more attracted to younger females and in turn women need someone that isn’t quite mature, but is old enough to find any woman attractive. It is mostly seen in school systems because these women teachers are in constant contact with the kids, and so over time they make moves on them. Of course, …

What’s funny is that she gets a simple haircut but tries to justify her logic of going to a salon by saying “it’s simple but not that simple” basically. You’re buzzing the sides and leaving the top longer. You wanna know why the haircut costs $40? It’s because the cut covers about half that, but the products that the salon workers use in her hair plus the maintenance of them working it into her hair is the extra $20. Like use your fucking brain and realize that you can probably go to the salon, …

Seeing women use these mugs is so cringe. It’s like they’re being clever by posting something like this when in actuality I’d prefer if they owned the mug and not post it on social media. That sub is a fucking joke. The same person that said that tried to rationalize their generalization by saying “well not every man is like that, but actually they are”. r/AmITheAsshole is the epitome of a bunch of white knights trying to get karma by having a justice boner for women. Karen McDaniel sits at her cushioned seat in her dingy apartment in NY. She gently caresses her belly, still fuming at the argument she had with her now ex-boyfriend. She has never before met a man so adamant about sticking up for himself and not just agreeing to end the argument. She picked up her phone and found his contact information and blocked his number. Despite the brief satisfaction from doing so, it was still not enough to block out the last words she had heard her baby’s father say. W…

Lol, non of us know the back story here. Okay so can’t this type of thinking be applied to both sides? So it’s okay for us to assume OP is a brat because he wanted equality between his parents, but it’s not okay to assume that he isn’t because he wanted his dad to be appreciated more? I think this conversation just proved the inherent bias and double standardized nature of the r/AITA sub. I’m done here. Have a good day.

Okay so I’m going to stop you there. In your response you said everyone. Now that’s an inclusive term meaning every party, meaning husband and wife or mother and father. Not everyone’s role within a family is the same. For starters, my father did most of the cooking/cleaning/work/home maintenance for years. Additionally, as many commenters went out of their way to say, having a kid is a “burden”. If you think that, maybe don’t have fucking kids.

r/AmITheAsshole is probably one of the most biased subs out there. Years ago when it was founded, it was a place to go to actually get some insight on if you were a jerk within a certain situation and even prompt an OP to do some introspection. When it became popular about a year ago, it became flooded by SJWs wanting to get their annoying itches scratched. Funny. Last I checked, women get a pass from society on many aspects such as educational/financial support from colleges and high schools that specialize in STEM, court cases (especially pertaining to custody of a child), and sentences for crimes that are significantly lower than if they were given to a man. Not to mention an exclusion from the draft and being the sex that is seen as the one that should be chased after and settled down with for a successfully fulfilled life (unless you’re a MGTO…
