I'm so glad you said that. I have a beautiful emerald cut ruby for my engagement ring, it's my husbands birthstone and I love it. Our 22nd anniversary is coming up, so I guess it works just fine. :)

Take an old necktie or dish towel, wrap it around both sides of a doorknob, do your squats using the tie for balance only. As you get stronger you'll no longer need the help with balance. I couldn't do squats without going ass over tea kettle until my husband showed this to me!

I also had no social life at your age, I was a line cook who dabbled in pastry. Just so happened I met my husband at the restaurant, he was impressed with my cassata. Meeting people is hit or miss. Stay out of the clubs, girls I know who were hitting the clubs back then are all miserable now.

Society. Ugh, before I met my husband I thought that if I didn't have my own thriving, successful business by the time I was thirty it would mean that I was a complete failure. I grew up in a very traditional household, and envied my grandmother her housewife life. I never said anything about my true feelings because I knew it would bring scorn upon me. Happily I found a like minded man, we have a great life together.

I have a kettlebell best bud, also. I used to do cardio only, but about five years ago my husband got me into strength training because of my "advancing age ". :p He explained that push and pulling heavy weight is good for bone density. ,

Thank you, I have seen the over indulgence of children lead to to divorce so many times with family and friends. It looks as though these women use their children as a sword over a man. A child can't grow up happy in that environment.

Thank goodness for grandmothers, and grandfathers. My mother died when I was four, Dad was in the military, I went to live with my maternal grandparents. Looking back on it, I think they viewed me as a project. I really appreciate the everyday attention and lessons that they gave me.

Physical fitness is so important, you'll not only live longer, you'll feel / look good doing it. I don't know how many times I've heard some version of "you're married, now you can get fat! " from friends and family. This attitude always leads to unhappiness in both parties. We didn't marry slobs, because we didn't want to be married to slobs.

When my husband and I were dating I understood that I was not the only woman that he was seeing. When he made the move, I told him that while I was attracted to him, and wanted to sleep with him, I didn't want to be one of many. He has told me that that was his tipping point to get serious with me. If a woman that you're seeing has great potential, why not try for the LTR. You have your set of criteria, she meets it or she doesn't.
