What system of raising a child is not an individual experiment? Even if you think your parents did a perfect job and followed their example completely... your child's not the same person that you were, they don't live in the same social context you did and your not the same people as your parents. Yes, lies can be a part of rhetoric but lies are not rhetoric. For example, all poodles are dogs but not all dogs are poodles. Lying can be a part of rhetoric but not all rhetoric are lies. And, my March of Dimes example is not a strawman, it's an analogous example. They work towards helping children but that does not mean they discriminate against adults just like feminism organizes on the behalf of women but that does not mean they discriminate against men. Public opinion matters but mods have total control of their subreddits. At least the creators do at any rate. There is nothing that can be done except for supporting them or not supporting them by subscribing or unsubscribing. but there are many just reasons for wage inequality. If the person in the cubical next to me performs better at the job, then that person does deserve better pay. I agree that there are many just reasons for wage inequality. I'm not arguing that everyone should make the same amount of money. I skimmed it but from what I understand the concept is that there should be government mandated quotas for women in electable positions? If I read that correctly then no I do not agree with that. Unfortunately, most people can keep it together through the initial honeymoon phase with all of it's happy brain chemical intoxication and only later, after that goes away, do they appear crazy. Though by that time, most people would have already slept together.

All over the place? This is the first time I've ever posted either of those statistics. And even if I'm wrong and you're right most of the clips in the video are from PSAs and even if men are the majority of drivers they are the ones that those PSAs have to reach. So even if those PSAs are showing mostly men they do so by showing them incidents they can identify with. What else are they supposed to do? People identify with scenarios that they can see themselves in.

Even if I take your argument as true, I know nothing about statistics, it still doesn't address my second point that the more serious driving offenses involve a larger portion of male drivers. Your desire to make it on your own is a view point I used to share. However, I gave it up when I realized it wasn't getting me anywhere. People need the support of other people. It's how we evolved socially. Take social networking for example, the main way to advance any career is through the people you know and the connections they have. Using those connections is not making it on your own and people use them all the time.
