Stay at home husbands just can't win.Bro, I was a single dad in Aus (kids now in their 20's). No parenting assistance, have to go on the dole or get a job or worse - hand the kids back to the mother that didn't look after them and give her half your income so she can get wasted. The double standards here are astounding, and they're getting worse. Basically a man can be accused of domestic violence in Australia, and then have to prove himself innocent while everything gets taken away. Worth having cameras inside your house boys, the… | /r/MensRights | 17/02/24 07:01 PM

The Empress is NakedA woman must never, ever be held responsible for her sexual actions, lest her purity be questioned. The sad thing is that it's mainly their own female friends that do the questioning (& blaming, & judging!). My family didn't like it much when I pointed out the hypocrisy after we saw that ad. At the start they're like "We're sexy single mums and we don't need no man", then 20 seconds later they wave their tits at some passing young tradies and beg them for help. | 2 | Is the phrase "Happy wife, happy life" beta?Haha, I was dropping my daughter to her friends house and just having a coffee and a chat to the Dad in the kitchen. The Mum was on the couch on FB or something like that. Lo and behold, I glance up and and notice this exact phrase is hung on the wall. I cracked up laughing, pointed at the sign and said "that can't be true, wives are never happy". The Mum put her phone down, looked me in the eye and told me to leave. | 5 | Do you now see many things in context of alpha vs beta now?Without a doubt. What's worse, I look back at my early 20's and see how my behaviour was 'alpha', and then how I sadly turned beta bux over 10 years (late 20's to late 30's) with my ex-wife. I do agree with /u/SpaceCrunch that it is better to go slowly and methodically. My main shock (as a qualified industrial chemist) was that simple ionic equations that we were taught in year 7 (first year of high school) are only being taught in year 9 or 10 now, and then only to the advanced science classes. Handing out threats will work up to a certain point, but they have to know you will follow through. | 7 | After a woman murders 8 children, after the media was blaming men for the Sydney siege, Sunrise brings on the CEO of Australias National Research Organisation for WOMENS Safety to talk about how men...are the killers of children mostly? Fucking seriously.thats the point really, it's ridiculous for this woman to be pointing fingers. The sad thing is that the federal government has cut a huge amount out of the mental health budget this year, and regardless of gender, the people that really need intervention and help won't get it due to lack of resources. Having read Athol's book recently, it is very redpill oriented, just balancing out that Alpha that she needs to get excited and the Beta that makes her feel secure. | 2 | I have no idea if this is where I should put this but does anyone know somewhere a guy can talk to someone about having body image issues without being shamed by women for them?Hi midnightwalrus. My friend has given me the link below for you. It turns out her husband was a world leader in eating disorders in men. She has been out of the loop for about 8 years now, so doesn't know anyone in the US anymore, however she said The Butterfly Foundation is an excellent starting point for you for resources and information. If you contact them, they may even be able to get you to someone close by that be of help. I wish you all the best of luck! | /r/MensRights | 26/07/12 02:16 AM
I have no idea if this is where I should put this but does anyone know somewhere a guy can talk to someone about having body image issues without being shamed by women for them? There's no way I'd accept money for helping anyway. I'll let you know when I get some info together. | /r/MensRights | 25/07/12 02:40 PM
I have no idea if this is where I should put this but does anyone know somewhere a guy can talk to someone about having body image issues without being shamed by women for them? That sucks. If you were in oz, I could point you in the right direction, I have a client who's late husband was a lead researcher in sydney in eating disorders. I might give her a call and see if she knows of any good programmes or online help that I can send your way. It's after midnight now, so I won't get back to you for a while but hopefully I can unearth something. | /r/MensRights | 25/07/12 02:25 PM
I have no idea if this is where I should put this but does anyone know somewhere a guy can talk to someone about having body image issues without being shamed by women for them? This is an actual psychological issue. I would suggest seeing professional psychologist/psychiatrist that specializes in eating disorder and body image problems. The hardest part will finding a specialist, but please start looking ASAP. Australian men are the worst at seeking help, which why there is such high suicide rate for young men here. | /r/MensRights | 25/07/12 02:14 PM
