Frankly, if it makes you feel better I find a lot of the men in my MD program were happy to date women who had “just a bachelor’s.” One is married to a teacher, another got engaged to an accountant, one is happily dating a fitness instructor. Frankly, if someone looks down on you for only having a bachelor’s when you have a good job and no debt (big accomplishment), they’re probably too arrogant to be a HVM anyway. And there are a lot of arrogant assholes in medicine, unfortunately. I’ve learned…

Where are you getting these stats from lol. If so many women are dying alone and unhappy, why are they initiating divorces in the first place? Believe it or not, it is fully possible for women to be more happy alone than married to a cheating or abusive man. I’m not sure why you’re getting so upset over the idea of a woman being able to work to contribute to the household, and therefore having the financial ability to get out of a potentially abusive marriage.

Financially independent = have your own savings and job to fall back on. Don’t go into a marriage relying solely on your partner to provide for you. Sure, I plan to one day be a stay at home mom when my kids are little. But in the event that my husband is hurt and can’t work, or cheats on me and we divorce, I need to be able to support myself. I’d like to work part time once my kids are old enough for a babysitter. Imo, one of the reasons divorce rates are so high now as compared to back in the …

I’m a conventionally attractive girl, and I occasionally do dating apps a few times per year. I get a lot of matches, but it usually takes me a day or two of swiping to find a guy I click with enough for me to want to go out with him. When that happens, he usually asks me out to dinner within a few days of us chatting. I’ve had good luck with apps

I’m an FDS follower but I love texting lol. I think by double text, they mean don’t bombard him with texts. imo men should be initiating ~60% of texts, but I am always quick to respond and will initiate the next conversation. I like to be pursued.

Haha, no you got it! Definitely does not condone cheating and advocates for women to get out ASAP if cheated on (also advocates for women to be financially independent for this reason). I can only speak for myself, but I really resonate with FDS because as a woman who wants a traditional relationship/family, its handbook just makes sense. It also teaches women to filter out potentially abusive partners as well.

Nah FDS doesn’t scorn men who don’t choose them, it’s more “scorn men who don’t treat their woman with respect and appreciation.” FDS literally preaches to move on from someone that doesn’t want you, because everyone deserves to be their partner’s #1. If FDS gains mainstream traction, it will actually probably skew things back to a more traditional dating culture (no casual sex, man is the pursuer, etc) and will force a lot of men to step up in their personal habits (stop using porn and weed, go…

YES. I can’t sit at the gosh darn DMV alone without the guy next to me feeling obligated to comment on what I’m looking at ON MY PHONE. And when I give very terse responses, he takes that as encouragement to keep talking and talking, with me only being able to escape when my number was called.

Hi ladies! I LOVE the podcast, but especially the strategy episodes!! Big request for you - can you please talk about how to determine if your date is an incel or red pill man? Ie, what are warning signs to pick up on. I had the misfortune of dating one when younger, and it’s frankly scary how well they can disguise their beliefs until it’s too late - particularly if you’re a religious person, like I was. Thank you!! ❤️

Cooked a delicious new recipe, studied for the GRE, had movie night with my mom, took my grandmother out for lunch, and am going to workout and make cookies later! :) thanks for asking!

Exactly. It pisses me off - like, I have depression too but I’m not insulting, making fun of, cheating on, or taking my partner for granted!! Don’t use mental illness as an excuse for scrote behavior!

Do what makes you happy. Just be aware that the mental health struggle is real and hard to understand until you’re in it. The deeper you go, the harder it’ll be to get out, and I’d say a fair amount of my class would’ve done something else if we’d known what it’d be really like. Of course I recently decided to leave Med school, so my opinion is skewed lol. Medicine is not a job but a lifestyle that demands you plan your life around it, especially during training. Be careful of that decision

DO NOT DO IT. Go to PA School instead. Med school is absolutely horrendous. It’s an open secret at my school that by the end of first year, over 80% of the class has been put on an antidepressant. On our first day of Orientation, the deans also talked about a study that showed how med student empathy decreased from first year to fourth year, and you graduate with less empathy than you started with. Of course, this was a just a segway plug into their ~wellness program~, which ended up as them jus…

Why is no one mentioning that this literally assault? Biological terrorism? He fed her slugs, which are carriers of Angiostrongylus costaricensis, a parasitic nematode. This parasite can cause bacterial meningitis, GI infarcts, and so many other very serious illnesses. He needs to be arrested and sentenced. Disgusting. Oh yah you’re right, if a husband started taking me for granted, not helping out around the house, put in no effort to romance me or maintain the non sexual sides of the relationship, and stopped maintaining his basic hygiene/looks/style just because we were married and he thought he was now ~entitled~ to sex whenever he wanted from me, as I was now his sex doll, I would say these things too! (And then divorce him lol)

I just want to add that I’m lucky that my dad is a HVM, and he LOVES his kids. Like he would kill for me. When we were poor, he fed us before himself. When I was born, he called the local private school that he couldn’t afford at the time to add me the waitlist... six years in advance, lol. He works two jobs to this day to provide for us. His free time is spent watching TV in bed w my mom or watching movies with my little brothers, or hanging out with my little brothers - and he wouldn’t change …
