You are completely right. I just think we have different viewpoints, maybe I'm missing something but nowhere do I see a majority of the focus on the latter. Feminism has always been focusing on the system. And the result of the system needs to be discussed obviously so there will be a discussion on men/women affected by feminism but nowhere is it to the same extent

I don't think its a fringe though, I may be wrong but to me, your views are highly warped by specific incidents and online dicsussions. I even looked on the ToxicFeminismisToxic subreddit and it seems to be more about dicussing specific takes/authors rather than the general movement of feminism. Like, if you ask someone on the street if men can be raped, who in the world is not gonna say yes? The whole subreddit is about assigning a feminist individual's bad take to the concept of feminism as a …

I am a man lol. And I'm not denying their experiences, I'm saying personal experiences don't dictate absolute truth. Me getting hit by a baker doesn't mean all bakers hit people, i just got hit by a baker lol

I don't think there could be a greater thing than unity but that's just me :))

Perhaps we can both learn from each other lol We're the bridges we need to gap

Well, personal experiences aren't the end all be all. I'm sure that has happened but we're not working to fix individuals, we're working to fix a system that is incorrect/unfair and to do that, we need to bridge gaps rather than highlighting problems for the sake of justifying emotional outrage

This is a very inflammatory and incorrect take. No one needs to prove themselves as "the good one" in leftist spaces, at least not all. You should not generalize things in such manner as it serves to only divide the already fractured left further and furtehr

It's incredible that you need evidence for the existence of misogyny. Both misogyny and misandry exist big bro. I don't want to prove everything to you, soon I'll be arguing with you and trying to prove that we evolved from monkeys lol. Some things you just understand innately from observing society

If your whole life, I set up the world such that you're utterly convinced you're someone not worthy of love and then I set you free in the world and you CHOOSE not to pursue love. Is it because you chose it yourself or because I set it up to be that way. Not saying the circumstances are the same, I'm just giving you an example

oh mah god bro, i bring up the fact that men are richer and more powerful and what's your reply to that? "If businesses could save $0.15 per hour per employee and do so legally men would be unemployed over night.." But they don't do they? You don't address my points about more men being in power and only 15% of women actually being world leaders. You don't even address the view that masculinity can be both healthy and toxic which is why we've created a descriptive word for traditional masculinit…

how does attacking feminists or denying the existence of a wage gap make me personally look bad? I'm just saying they're misogynistic because of the things they said not because of how they affect me. But ion think i can care enough to reply to your every rebuttal with grace. Thank you for engaging in a discussion with me

A raw gap of 15% and an adjusted gap of 10% doesn't suggest anything for you? Come on man, obviously this study alonedoesn't paint the entire picture but connect the pieces my guy

yep, cherry picking. The exact evidence for the exact phenomena described is cherry picking. Have you considered that women work less because they're taught to be more reliant on men? Because places won't offer jobs to women due to gender discrimination? In fact, I'll entertain your premise as well. This study compares the HOURLY wages for FULL TIME workers: https://www.bls.gov/opub/reports/womens-earnings/2023/home.htm Women still earn 90% of what men do. Now explain that with your framework

oh my goddd, do i really have to spell everything out for you. YES WOMEN ARE PASSIVE AND MEN ARE ACTIVE WHEN THEY CONFORM. that's literally what traditional women are supposed to be, meek and submissive and men are supposed to be imposing and dominant. I'll engage with any of your deluded assertions any day big boy

Sure, ignore the part about denying the existence of the wage gap. Yes, one can actually believe that egalitarianism rather than feminism is better equipped to actually advance equality. They can also do that by not attacking feminists as people, instead they can challenge the current state of feminism as an ideology. If they did that, i wouldn't care
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 11:59 AM

Denying the existence of a wage gap And attacking feminists as a whole That is pretty misogynistic
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 11:56 AM

I wouldn't if this guy wasn't just being openly misogynistic lol

okay, if you choose to insert an idea into my words, one that I don't mean to convey then it's your choice. You can either have an intellectually honest argument with me or with the version of myself you've constructed in your mind that's easier to hate
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 11:48 AM

and yeah, obviously you won't respond further because you have to protect your ego, find something or someone to blame. I hope you at least review your stance at the least

so just because the boy's needs weren't met means the innocent kid should just die? And by its no one's fault, i mean on the victim's side, obviously its the rapist's fault you dingus. You don't know what bad faith means so stop spouting terminology you don't understand. Interpreting "It's no one's fault" as me saying "A rapist isn't at fault" is bad faith though

Also are you suggesting that making more money leads to you making less money? That's a terrible take in entirety only a few exceptional cases for that is actually viable

The wage gap looks at income before taxes.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 10:26 AM

And are you arguing that men commit more crimes because they're sentenced harshly? Why is it that men are more first time offenders then, they haven't even gone through the justice system
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 10:26 AM

And the wage gap looks at people in similar fields so you're just wrong there

It's not anyone's fault christ why are you so mad, child support is for the support of the child, it's not to punish anyone
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 10:24 AM

The only reason men pay more income tax is because they make more money lol And people are broad about generalisations because a larger problem should be prioritised before smaller ones. It really is just that simple.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 10:06 AM

How am I even a troll, you can't dispute a claim with any reliable sources, you say "Quite clearly women are prioritized". And you call me a troll lol
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 09:59 AM

Also like, do your own research if you wanna find out how and why the wage gap exists. You ask me for evidence and I provide it and you blindly deny everything. I'm wrong I have no evidence and when I do give evidence, the evidence is wrong
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 09:57 AM

Wokay, I'm sorry the big bad feminists did all that to you

Men earn more money and have more power and influence on average. Obviously it doesn't apply to every man. Thank yew :3

The Bangkok Rules were created as a response to the fact that prisons were primarily designed for men. It was a stand for equity and you've somehow interpreted it to be discrimination. The education system thing, I wouldn't say it doesn't matter but I'm gonna frame it this way. Education is a means to an end, for power, money and influence. To build up your life. Men have more power money and influence in the world, even if they're worse in education. Feels like that should tell you something. O…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 09:54 AM

Respectfully, I don't think education matters even an iota when men hold more money, more power and control more of the world. Education is only a means to get those exact things and guess what, men have more of that

Broski said I invoke hitchens razor like it's a yugioh card or something lmao. But alright What is the patriarchy, it's a system that gives more status to a man. Power, food, social status, influence, the ability to make decisions. In the current era, I'd say it's mostly influence, power and money. Now for money, only 15% of the top 100 richest people are women. In the US, women earn 85 cents for every dollar that a man does. /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 09:27 AM

Nope I am not saying that. I'm saying women only affect themselves negatively and men affect themselves and others negatively. It doesnt have to be knowing, it is just that the system makes it to be so. It is not the same shit :3

Of course telling men to man up hurts them. But is that your idea of a traditional woman? A conforming woman isn't loud or imposing, she's supposed to be quiet and submissive. We're arguing something different here, you're talking about insensitive women and I'm talking about conforming women. Do you really need a citation to tell that the patriarchy elevates men lol And the phrase toxic masculinity doesn't imply all things masculine are toxic. That's... I don't understand how you even get to th…

I'm not saying men have agency. Both women and men are compromised of their agency by this system Their effects just display themselves differently which is why one is called toxic and the other not
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 02:56 AM

See I'm casting a broader net of society and you're cherry picking certain cases, certain ideas and certain laws that go against mine. I completely believe you, these things do harm men and I'm not saying they do not. But that doesn't devalue what I've said, none of these things delegitimize my claim. I understand you're frustrated about these things but cherry picking evidence just proves that, yes in some parts and some aspects my statement is wrong, but on a grander scale, nothing you've said…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/12/25 02:55 AM

Not really. Things without agency can be toxic. The phrase doesn't imply one having agency or not. Internalised misogyny harms women regardless of if they confirm or not. The reason it's called so is because internalised misogyny is an effect of the patriarchy, the patriarchy that reinforces the idea that women are inherently of lesser status than men. They're supporting a system that devalues them Men are also victims of this system but the reason it's called toxic is because those who embody t…

A woman who conforms to the traditional idea of patriarchy does not have to do those things. I'm not saying no one does but the idea of a woman who conforms isn't one who shames men for not confirming. A woman of conformity is someone who is quiet, elegant, beautiful, sexually appealing but not too provocative. I'm displaying traditional ideas here, rape cases are very realistic and they do happen but societal ideas don't address that. Those things do happen and they are bad but that's not the t…
