You did the right thing. I heard a history where, one guy was walking home at evening, and right after bushes were 4 guys and 2 girls. Guy seeing 'girls' being 'in trouble', rushed helping him. He managed to get all 4 guys attention to him, and they started to kick him, while those two 'girls' seeing all this shit, just runned away. In result guy now is disabled and cannot think straight due brain damage. So, whenever I see situation in which I see woman being in trouble, I remember this story.
