Oh, I agree one hundred percent. And this is the only kind of trauma that's looked at in that way. You wouldn't recommend that someone who was shot go work at a shooting range to 'heal their trauma'.

The article mentions that she's been sexually assaulted twice, and that dancing is her way of healing from that trauma...and completely ignores the fact that stripping makes her even more vulnerable to harassment and assault. Very sad.

Oh, absolutely. While hiking with my ex, a guy came up to him and said, "Don't marry her--she'll never go hiking with you again!" I had actually dragged him out on that hike and did a ton of hiking without him. Men seriously think everything, including women's entire personalities, revolve around them.

I definitely saw a lot of this as well. I'm very outdoorsy and have done a lot of long-distance hiking and a fair amount of mountaineering. Men on OLD were always shocked that a woman had done more in the outdoors than they had--I even had a scrote try and match me once with the message "You look like you've done some serious climbing! Your the first that's done more than me!" A lot of the guys who said they were super into climbing had pictures on their profile that showed that they clearly had…
