Allow me to play devils advocate male circumcision has no adverse effect on sexual function, sensitivity, sexual sensation, or satisfaction In summary, male circumcision does not appear to adversely affect penile sexual function or sensitivity when compared with uncircumcised men Edit: http://people.howstuffworks.com/circumcision5.htm "Uncircumcised men are about twice as likely to be infected with human papillomavirus (HPV) and pass it along to sexual partners, resulting in higher cervical canc…

All the comments I'm seeing here are...they aren't good. Knowing that you are right does not make you an effective debater The fact is that male circumcision is, at this point in time, legal, and the majority of people would still do it to their children. Like it or not these are the people whose minds you have to change. So following that logic, even though we all know that the foreskin is a normal, healthy part of the body and removing it routinely similar to routinely removing a baby's ears/n…

Yeah this bit it pretty enraging. Not just because one dumb chick thinks this, but because the audience thought it was totally acceptable and funny. Saying someone's foreskin is "extra" is like an amputee telling someone that they have "extra" arms. The whole bit is about how she was immature enough to literally turn around and run away just because a guy had his whole penis. That's like, little girl behavior. Unfortunately, she's not alone in that mindset.

Can I get a source on this?

I don't know what their angle or gameplan is, but if it were my choice, I would not have these sorts of demonstrations representing intactivism. I'm mostly talking about the images of bloodied suits and what-not. I'm just spouting off at the mouth here...actually I'll keep it short. We all know MGC is wrong, yeah. But there's a certain level of...PR that you have to maintain. I'm not saying to censor ourselves, but to be selective about what you say and how you deliver your message. As right as …

I don't. I'm just spouting off at the mouth here...actually I'll keep it short. We all know MGC is wrong, yeah. But there's a certain level of...PR that you have to maintain. I'm not saying to censor ourselves, but to be selective about what you say and how you deliver your message. As right as you think and know you are, at the end of the day, we have to win the minds of others. The worse thing we can do is paint ourselves as extremists or as a "fringe group". People will be 100x more likely to…

It is much more sensitive than any other skin This is a great post. I see you making post on the subject all over and they're all very good and well sourced. Small correction though. It's not skin at all. Well, half of it is (outer). The other half (inner) of it is a mucous membrane (I usually just say membrane to keep it simple). So yeah, next time someone says "it's just skin", you can feel confident in saying "No, it's not skin."

You guys need to not be so aggressive towards OP and be glad he's seeking out the information instead of being willfully ignorant. Anyway, as far as far as your question I've explained it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX1fFt1HYi4

And we all know that hair and nails 1) grow back and 2) are dead? It seems like you're the only one here using "fallacious arguments". You are anti-parental rights and anti-religious freedom Feel free to continue asserting claims with no sort of back up or reasoning. Feel free to ignore all of the point that I just got done making addressing those things.

I'll bite. You have to be crazy to compare this to amputating hands or fingers. Hands, fingers, and foreskins are all healthy, normal, functional body parts. father's rights and religious freedom These two things are great, but when we're talking about the child, an individual, why does a father's rights supercede the individual right to bodily integrity? It's the son's foreskin, why on earth would you give the decision to a father when you could just as easily give it to the owner of the body p…

Yeah I found that out when I was doing research to make this video. It's ridiculously biased So, what are we going to do about this?

Can someone please concisely explain what the "yesallwomen" hashtag is even about? It's not clear.

The last point I definitely, strongly agree with you on. There's a lot of bickering about FGM vs MGM. "It's not even close to the same thing!" You'll hear a lot from some people that FGM is a lot worse. But I think you and I alike devote much more time to MGM. Why? Because it is much more well within our reach to change. It's the easier problem to fix. While it's a fucked up issue, what do we have to do to change it? Easier said than done, but it comes down mostly to education. Educate people, c…

I'm subbed to /r/Intactivists, and you make good points. I'm just saying it's not my main focus. edit: Just realized this might sound misleading. I meant that subreddit isn't my main focus. The issue as a whole is actually a very large focus of mine.

Good point. /r/Intactivists is actually the worst place to get the word out. Everyone there obviously already knows the story. Those are the threads I'm the least interested in.

debate trump card This entire post just frames the entire issue as a MRA vs feminists thing. I mean...just read the title. I agree though that circumcision is an issue that needs to be brought to the forefront.

Why does it have be MRA vs feminists? How is that productive at all?

Yeah, there is psychology involved. Pretty few people are willing to be completely honest with themselves on this. People don't want to hear it because it's unpleasant. I understand.

There's only video in video number 2. Go ahead and watch it all anyway, there's full warning of it with lots of time to click away. When you hit that point in Video 2, skip to 8:05 to pass over it. Cheers.
