My dad always said my mom had BPD when I was growing up. I'm fairly certain my mother in law has BPD and that is where the majority of the issues we're currently having are coming from. My mother in law guilts my wife into doing things or feeling bad about the way we live and then my wife relays that guilt to me. Then my wife's extended family gossips and makes my wife feel even worse about whatever thing her mom is pressuring her to do. Whatever my mother in law has is 10x worse than what my mo…

That's only true if the court decides to treat it that way and sadly it's common for men to be treated as second class citizens in many courts across the country

Explain that you're both good parents, but aren't good together and then blame everything else on the court system. Explain that parents are encouraged to use their children against their spouses in divorce and that's what their mom is doing to you right now. Say she's not a bad person, she's jus…

To be honest I don't know how agreeable she will be yet, I know she doesn't want to get divorced. Part of the way she talked me into the marriage was saying if it doesn't work out then we can get divorced and its no big deal. But during recent fights where I've hinted at a divorce she keeps saying she's "dependent" on me and doesn't make enough on her own to live. She even mentioned quiting her job and moving back in with her parents in our home town if she gets divorced, which makes me think sh…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
