Honestly it seems like FDS woman's trash is RPW's gold. It's crazy how they expect the men to give everything - money, love, commitment - in return for ... Nothing? Looking good, at most? These women really think that men OWE then something. They throw away perfectly good men (who, by the way, are also vetting them) because they don't jump into offering commitment after 1 month of "talking" (not sure what that even means): https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/sdt4t6/i_walked_aw…

Mary Hatch in It's a Wonderful Life is a great example of RPW!

Its 3. Two of them were long term relationships (one was short term that didn't end up going anywhere).

Definitely a valid point and critique. I am still learning to "go with my gut" when it come to relationships and me asking this subreddit is an attempt to see what logically thinking brains would come up with for this situation. I've already made the decision to end it shortly after writing this, FYI, because I value my happiness above another person's comfort (staying in this relationship won't lead to his happiness or mine in the long run). Maybe I could have phrased this more of a discussion …

Thank you for the super insightful response! I also don’t believe in throwing away a very long term relationship without trying to fix it or help him address these issues first. If you’ve only been together for around less than a year OR if you’ve encouraged him to be more attractive by using girl game to no avail, I think it completely makes sense to move on to someone you feel more passionate about and who you’re more compatible with on your values/goals/views. We've been dating for a bit over…

I think it was around the time he started getting super tired from work and also not initiating as many dates. Like it just seemed that he was in the adrenaline of the "honeymoon phase" on the beginning and then fell to his normal mode of not really being an initiator by nature. Also, even though he isn't conventionally attractive I still wanted to give him a chance since I thought he had an attractive personality at the start.

My guess is that the reason you are losing respect for him is that he is not taking care of himself and this issue, if he does nothing about will just get worse with time. If you were to get married to him and he is always too tired to do things, you will only feel more and more dissatisfied. Yeah this is pretty much spot on. Thank you for the insight. I think this does make me question how he will be in marriage when we are stressed with both jobs AND kids. I am a high energy person but I am no…

Thanks this is super helpful. I will definitely try some of those things. I guess one of the problems is also that I don't feel attracted to his looks anymore and feel that I pay attention to good looking guys on the street a lot more. For example, I think its a problem if I feel like would definitely consider going out with them and ditching my current bf if one of my current guy friends who is way more attractive (conventionally, more than my bf) would ask me out.

I usually wear tights + boots + skirt + trendy sweater or sweater dress. Plus a nice scarf and wool coat. I think this looks pretty feminine. It's also how I've seen women dress back in the day and appear ladylike and fashionable (like in the 90s movies). I think it definitely elevates your style over the typical modern jeans/sneakers/puffy coat look. :-)

Thank you this is great advice!! If anything I would advise encouraging him to get the sleep that he needs and helping him maintain a consistent sleep schedule. Yes will do :) That also applies in reverse to yourself - he needs to work with you to help you improve where it matters most to him. Emphasis on "work with" not "work on", since while people hate being someone's project, they don't mind being someone's teammate. Great way of putting it!! Thanks! I'll reach out to him about this too.

His diet is OK. He orders out half the time on weekdays and half the time makes something quick at home, but its usually high quality stuff (no fast food or anything). He has a lot of protein but I don't think he's eating enough vegetables and fruit which is still important for a balanced diet. Unfortunately he works out only when he's not tired (which is not often, maybe on the weekends about 1 or 2 times a week). He's very slim so it would be actually easy for him to develop more muscle etc if…

I've been studying RPW strategies for slightly less than half a year now. I'm still learning but I am not going to quit a degree that I've worked on for 5 years because I learned about this lifestyle and life approach. I don't understand what you are implying here. I was just explaining why it was hard for me to cook him food at his house on weekdays (I've done this only a couple times so far, typically on a weekend). Especially since I think he normally doesn't get enough healthy eating in so I…

Thank you. I agree with this. I guess because I am a very high energy person and can do a lot of things on as little as 6 hrs of sleep, it is a bit hard for me to understand. But the responses in this thread helped a lot!

Yes I would love to do that but as I said in my reply above, my work hours are very difficult as well as I am trying to finish my thesis work and defend my degree ... In fact I'm at the stage where I need someone to support me in that way because it's just a lot of often long hours in the lab, etc. But i want to support him too. Maybe it's all about time management (for both of us)

He's not head of department, he's an attending doctor at a hospital - won't specify the type but it pays really well and is a very stressful (I guess I consider that high profile for being only 31 lol). He's not 'conventionally' attractive (I think he is hot though) and definitely not a "player". I've also known him for 2 years before that (mutual friends) but we lived in different towns until 4 months ago... So I know him pretty well and he's been showing all the signs of wanting serious commit…

It is a myth that women can sleep with someone and feel the same way about them afterwards. Men can, women can't. I didn't say that women have no oxytocin effect or that they feel exactly the same as men. I'm just saying that just because you sleep with someone you aren't going to be completely smitten with him unless you were already super into him to begin with. E.g. I have girlfriends who were on the fence about guys (after a few dates) and after sex they were a definite no because the sex wa…

I see what you are saying. Maybe I am just too new to the idea of vetting for long-term captain to understand how one can truly do that without simply being friends with this person maybe for years. Once you sleep with him you have lost your objectivity and will likely fall for him quite hard. I think that's also a HUGE leap and generalization imho. I think if you are at the point where simply having sex would make such a huge difference in your view of him, there are bigger issues.

Needless to say, a captain must gain your trust to be trusted to this degree. This should be done before ever getting in bed with him. Is that still relevant for modern times, considering most couples have sex on dates 3-5? Most women don't want to wait to be able to trust a man with her life to have protected sex with him.

OK I understand all that but what does it mean when guys keep asking me to tell them about the milestones in my job and how it's going? I am working in a male dominated field (science) and usually don't volunteer to talk about my job on my own at all. But guys I am interested in always want to know more about it and ask me things like "so how is accomplishment X going?". If guys didn't care about this why do they keep asking for details? Is this just a conversation maker? I dont even like talkin…

we’d be struggling a LOT if I had treated him the way I was used to treating men, or the way he was used to being treated. How did you use to treat men and how was he used to being treated?

Honestly it's a combination of working smart not hard (for me it means putting a lot of thought into my data collection plan and only doing measurements I know will be the most "high impact") and having a very hands-off supervisor. We essentially have a choice to either work 24/7 for super high output (a bunch of first author papers) or be more chill and get one or two papers and have a social life and hobbies. I chose the 2nd lifestyle because I am not super gung-ho about chasing publications (…

I think you're underestimating the amount of time a PhD (even in a highly competitive program) can have if they work smart, not hard. ;) I work out 4x a week, have weekends fully off to pursue my hobbies, bake bakery-level pastries, cook non-trivial meals (both for myself and hosting dinner parties for friends), make my own bread, jam, etc. I put a lot of effort into maximizing my physical appearance (working out and sports) and health/nutrition. Doing meticulous lab work and having to mitigate …

Wow I can't believe how rude they were to the military guy, I actually would've voted for him as a 1 on 2 on the intelligence scale. Nowhere am I claiming that a PhD is an indicator of high intelligence, I was simply comparing 2 women with all other factors being equal (including IQ and EQ and looks/personality).
/r/RedPillWomen05/08/21 02:49 AM

Academics != success, nor HVM. Exactly, and I was specifically talking about HVMs who are academics. I am not saying all HVMs will go for the PhD woman, just the ones who happen to be academics or very intellectual . There's a heck of a lot more intelligent people than people with PhDs Sure. Agree. But as I said in my original post, all other things being equal - attractiveness, upbringing, manners, femininity, AND emotional intelligence - the academic type of HVM would probably go for a PhD ear…

I agree on all points except the very last one. HVMs who are academics themselves want a very smart woman and usually a PhD is a very high indicator of this. While this may not bring her up from a 6 to an 8 per se, if you have a woman with a PhD vs. blue collar job, equal in all other ways, I will bet $100 an intellectual-bent guy would go for the PhD.

Thanks for your input. Yes we just started dating. And I do want marriage and family. But I'm not shallow enough to go solely on looks. Honestly this guy pursued me for 6 months - he lived in a different town but stayed in touch and showed with a lot of small actions that he's into me - and I'm really into his personality and voice and laugh. I think he's hot too but as I said, objectively he's not as attractive as me. Which is fine. I don't think looks are all that important although sometimes …

Why are you consistently picking me who are not conventionally attractive? I think that's a great question. I have thought about this. I really think it was because I was attracted to these men's personality first - and looks second. Also things like voice and laughter matter to me a lot. They were usually also very aggressive about pursuing me which I thought was very attractive and was what attracted me into a relationship with them.

It's more like... They want me to not jump into a relationship with this new guy and keep my options open for a while in case a hotter guy I click with comes along. I sort of see the point.

Interesting, why were they encouraging you to dump him?
/r/RedPillWomen16/07/21 04:37 PM

I agree with that for sure. I just get tired of the comparisons and I know the friends mean well because they want the best for me in the long term. They also think that I can find a guy who has all the qualities I want AND is very attractive, while anything else is settling.
/r/RedPillWomen16/07/21 03:57 PM

Exactly, that's what I am worried about! I am not shallow and will never date a man for looks alone - and my dating history is proof of that, considering I fell in love with nearly all of my exes based off their personalities, looks came second.

Thanks for your reply. That totally makes sense. I'm 26 soon 27, guy I'm talking about is 31. But I've been told I look very young for my age (so is he).

One is in an LTR while others are single but have been only in long term relationships for past few years but they don't do hook ups for the sake of hook ups or FWB. I think that's a good point.
