As much as I love this, and have had to make it work for myself because I'm also on the larger side of average. It's an excellent way to point it out, but not all of us big dudes are confident. It took me a long time to be able to figure out how to do this, and I'm still learning. Its kinda trying to be the person they think youre supposed to be instead of who you are. Again, it's still solid advice. I feel for OP, only being a tall set of hands to people kinda sucks.

I don't mean giving up. If men are all such "dogs" don't they bite when you mistreat them? We're often taught to fill the mold society has created for us as men. Not to be who we are. But to be what is expected. Well what are those expectations now?

What happens when the men who just want to be left alone start throwing their hats in the ring?

Bingo, men have been shaped into a society that shows very much how little it supports them. But most of us are brought up on the ideals of being survivors, getting up on your own, being a leader, being strong. That our country was built on our literal grandfathers backs. Those are the shoes most of us are born into expected to fill. So in the face of a harsh world, we took the tools we had and moved on. Sadly to say even if it meant turning on one another. (Edit: context, I'm from the US)

I have found myself recently just saying to people when they don't understand me. "I can only bear witness to the truth before my eyes". It honestly makes them pause.

I really do appreciate it. It makes me reflect a lot on all the other times similar things have happened to me over the years and it doesn't exactly do much for my sense of self worth. It was a bit of a slow burn realization and I wanted to bring some light to it for not only for my own sake but for everyone here too.

I see a lot of comments here about this being unnecessary and there being multiple cops there, and whatnot. Well you know if they would have just tried to force her to comply then everyone would be up in arms about police brutality. I'm totally ok with things like this. I certainly don't care for police officers. But I shure as shit listen to them when they tell me what to do. Which more often than not goes a long way. Wouldn't you cut the person who just listens to you and accepts that they fuc…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
