I think there is a need for PEOPLE to learn to stand up in their relationships. I'm a woman and I'm a total pushover. Many women I know are the same. People need to learn this skill.

That's just not in line with my perception of reality/experience/experience of everyone I know. I (and the women I know) are and basically have been looking for long-term partners almost exclusively. The partners I've had are guys that I thought might fit the mold of a permanent partner but for whatever reason did not work out (cheated, or didn't care when I had a cancer scare, etc). My guess is his definition of "ex" and "cheating" are wayyy off. They probably got drinks one time and then she went on dating other people. In which case, yeah, I'd probably say something like that.

"Men like sex more than women"? This is a massive and inaccurate overgeneralization. Some me like sex more than some women. Some women like sex more than some men.

I think a too-high partner count (like close to 3 digits) is a real turn-off. It says to me "this person has a different view of sex than I do" and so I'm not really into it. However, I know better than to ask, really.

As someone who has been a human American woman for almost three decades, I actually sort of think it's hilarious how they perceive my life. Like, what? No. My life is not like that. My life is decidedly less exciting than they think it is.
