Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsI’m not the one arguing for why she would. That is for this hypothetical superwoman to figure out in her own; the entire basis of this debate is that men shouldn’t date younger women, but what about the women that choose to date older men? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 02:12 PM
Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsThat's a blanket statement that you pulled out of your ass, admit it. I've never heard a 24-year-old guy call a 24-year-old woman unattractive and old. Of course, if you're terminally online you're gonna see people say that, but the Internet is literally not real. People don't actually believe these things. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 01:43 PM
Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsThat is quite literally not my logic at all. You just put a very loaded statement into my mouth. Maybe you should brush up on your debate skills before you try and start one. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 01:32 PM
Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsWhat ever happened to empathy? What about life being a marathon, not a race? My perception here is that you have a weird bitterness towards men that won't allow you to exhibit those traits for them. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 01:30 PM
Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsYou seem to be equating age with an automatic power imbalance. Why is that the case? If someone is "stunted" as you say, then how is there a power imbalance in any relationship they would start with someone younger than them? To be honest, your logic doesn't make any sense at all. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 01:20 PM
Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsWell, I'm glad your one experience invalidates the experiences of a large demographic of people! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 01:19 PM
Anyone over 23 shouldn't be dating 18yr oldsI'm not saying whether or not someone should do it, but 18 and 24 are incredibly similar ages in many ways. Many 24-year-olds aren't even close to having their shit together, and a ton of them are still reliant on their families. I think what's weirder is deeming arbitrary numbers as not-dateable. Like, what if a 24-year-old is in the same life stage as their 18-year-old counterpart? It happens more than you think. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/25 01:13 PM
We should get rid of dating appsThe difference is that computers made writing easier. Dating apps have made dating harder in almost every conceivable way. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/25 08:58 PM
We should get rid of dating appsI don’t think that’s really comparable. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/25 10:42 AM
We should get rid of dating appsNo it wouldn’t. Approximately zero of the generations that preceded Millennials had widespread access to dating apps, and there are over 8 billion people in the world. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/25 10:19 AM
