I have dysthymia and my experience is I have no support network of friends and family like women often do. I’m alone. I have just my mom who doesn’t understand, doesn’t want to deal with my symptoms, tells me “try to be happy” “go to therapy”. I’ve been in and out of therapy for years, on and off medication for half my life. This illness is relentless.

Get a plush? Hmmm. Ok. How about get a dog. Much more fulfilling for love giving and receiving than an inanimate object. Even a cat is better if you can’t have a dog. Both are good companions to help with loneliness. A dog has the added benefit of getting you outside and out of the house. Take them to the dog beach, park, on hikes. Great for both and helps boost your mood.

Do not try. Do. Have some self respect. You’re acting like a doormat. Retain an aggressive female lawyer immediately.

At this point, all guys should insist on going Dutch for any first date. Or only doing coffee.

It’s a cliche from the movies and no one should follow that advice. It doesn’t work irl. As a guy, if you want to date and have a gf, you have to make it happen. No one is gonna come along magically.

Like OP experienced, it’s both hurtful and wrong to treat all men as though they are predators.

I dated a single mother for several months who had a daughter around 7-8 yo. She was super paranoid about me molesting her kid. I was always nice and respectful, never did anything remotely inappropriate with her. But still she thought it was going to happen. I asked her if she had ever been molested by a family member, she said no. Had her daughter? No. I just couldn’t wrap my head around this fear. It also made me feel like shit when I had done nothing, yet was being watched like a hawk for an…

Yeah they love to assume negative intent when dudes do a shitty job at something. As if it’s the only possible reason someone isn’t good at putting the dishes away. It’s just more toxic Redditor bullshit they like to pile on here. So cynical and negative. Everyone would have a better life if they just ignore all those posts and comments and only enjoy the kittens licking each other.

You wrongly assume they are autistic. Wrongly assume all of these things have been put on them with no fault of their own. They have adopted a victim mentality and one that’s at odds with the world. Mostly by absorbing toxic bullshit on the internet and living their lives inside their own heads. They should be treated with kindness like anyone else ofc, but I believe for the most part, they have become extremists through online indoctrination for which they are partly responsible. Mens mental he…

We should just ignore that sub. Complaining about it is a waste of energy. We all know what it is; a hate sub.

There’s no ban on flirting. This is internet fueled nonsense. Go flirt tactfully and with good humor and you’ll get dates with the right women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
