Third lesson: be yourself. A lot of PUA material I've read (see lesson 1) really wanted you to re-mold yourself, into a better, more 'social' you. Let me tell you right now, this doesn't work. At all. You are who you are, and if you're a total geek, be fucking proud of it. You shouldn't need to change your personality and interests for women, because there ARE women who will be attracted to what you like. I talked to a girl awhile back who was really cute and ended up having a discussion with he…

Right, but my problem is that I still have to work with her (for a few days). Would it be best to hold off until the project is almost done, to avoid any awkwardness that comes afterwards?

Nothing wrong with that. I think my biggest problem is rejection, or the what if's...what if she has a boyfriend already? Then I'll just come off looking like a creeper/asshole/etc, you know? I know that's my problem, and I need to work past it.

Don't. This is just an awful idea. If he wants her number he'll need to get it himself, you shouldn't be handing out girls' numbers, they will likely get creeped out and it'll suck for you in the end.

I'm trying to find the post but I can't seem to find it anymore. It couldn't have been any more than a few days ago...but in that post, it was almost the same - made eye contact then looked at the hairline, guy backed right off. I didn't think much of it until I did the same thing, just to see if it would actually work, and it did - the guy backed off then left altogether. It was awesome.

Oh no, I'm good. Just I've got friends who keep grilling me as if she has to immediately respond to the text. She did get back to me a couple hours later. I was more concerned that it was a fake number or something.

When I get a free second I'll look it up, but it's a post someone made a few days ago about a trick David Wygant had - if you've got AMOGs that are giving you trouble, lock eyes with them, then look at their hairline. Don't know why but it's seriously intimidating to them. Worked like a charm in my case, too.

You sound like me, honestly. Don't bother with excuses. I freaked out too, you know. I sat beside this girl for almost 5 minutes before I actually said one word to her. And just getting myself to approach was almost like killing myself, really. Don't wait. The longer you wait, the longer other guys have of seducing her. That's how I think about it. Just get in there, fuck everything, do it. If it doesn't work out, move on. Think about what you did wrong and improve it for next time. I know I wai…

Well most of the friends I'm with now are usually just guys from class I don't actually see too often, so I don't think I'll have to worry about alienating them, etc. Also, I totally don't expect the next attempt to be any easier, but now I can convince myself that I've done it once, I can do it again. I'm hoping to get to class earlier and make time to give it another go. Thanks for the helpful response!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
