Honestly, I doubt you have actually spent much time on TRP or read their sidebar. You are actually the type of person I am referring to in my original comment.

Ok when I say "Blue Pill" I mean people like the OP and members of r/bluepill who make a hobby out of digging at red pill, not the average Joe who is just bumbling along in life.

The original post makes no mention of society.

This person is an example of how Blue Pill is actually even more annoying and shitty than Red Pill. At least the Red Pill people are making some effort to improve their lives, even if a lot of it is terrible. Blue Pill is actually worse....these people hate themselves and are looking for a punching bag.

Firstly, I am very sorry for your loss--even if your relationship survives this is definitely a trauma. I can see how this is incredibly painful for you. Secondly, there is a lot of white knighting here, and it is difficult to say whether it is salvageable without seeing his side. Can you share his actual account? Keep in mind that most men seek out TRP from a place of deep hurt, cynicism and frustration, they do and act like this because they honestly believe that this is what women want and wh…

It's just biology, if both of you stayed obsessed with giving eachother oral sex forever, you'd never get anything done in life. Evolution programmed people to be irrationally super attached to eachother long enough to get pregnant, deliver the child and raise it a few years. That irrational "love" makes sure that your Gene's are transmitted to the next generation. After that period ends you start to focus back on other things and be less interested in eachother. But some couples that maintain g…

Step 1: Never let go of your friends. Hang on to them and they can be your rock that will be there for you no matter what. If you don't have these friends, or this kind of intimacy with the friends that you do have, then do whatever you need to do to make it happen. Call/text/book plane tickets, go to meetups, whatever you have to do to get it, you need platonic people in your life (ideally a few Male ones) who you can share your innermost world with without judgement. Step 2: Own your insecurit…

Honestly, I've heard this from Asian women--about Asian women---as well, so.....idk.

Exactly. That's the blue pill fallacy, where everything is somehow the man's fault. Truth is we are all pretty similar, and all pretty messed up!

There actually is a pretty good scientific study of this, it's called "attachment theory" and "insecure attachment" The problem is that about 50 percent of the population has some degree of it, so it is actually fairly likely you'll be dating someone a little damaged.

I was referring to a real life in person group, but I am on one of the FB groups as well. Haven't discussed PET in any of them, just reading about it on reddit and stuff.

Ok, cool. Thanks for the explanation. Still not sure there's THAT much difference between them, but I appreciate the time you took to explain your perspective. It is absolutely idiotic to think that all women want that though. And probably an unsustainable relationship dynamic to get into. (With one person "performing" and "entertaining" the other) It's a shame, I really like the nmmng group that I go to, but some of Glover's ideas are just straight up wrong.

That bit about the mom and dad is probably true. Attachment trauma.

Broadly speaking, PUA is all about emotional "push pull" create closeness, then break it a little bit and make the subject feel a slight pang of loss and chase that closeness and acceptance again. The specific lines and techniques are all just ways of doing that. How, in your view, does PET differ from that?
/r/ExRedPill28/03/19 04:17 PM

You honestly can't compare and contrast them? I don't understand how my question is so difficult.
/r/ExRedPill27/03/19 08:51 PM

Are you saying that the difference between PUA and PET is just that one is used for a one night stand?
/r/ExRedPill27/03/19 08:15 PM

I'm not convinced that PUA is "pretty darn close to right" but I'm glad that we can stop pretending that PET is something different.

There is ::some:: truth to this.

OP, Please ignore this person. You're fine. In fact, if anything is wrong with you, it is that you aren't being selfish ENOUGH. Is this girl giving you what you want? No she's not. You deserve better, kick her to the curb.
/r/ExRedPill27/03/19 05:15 PM
3

Dude, she's damaged. Nothing you can do to fix that. Ask yourself--do you really want a girl around that you have to constantly mess with? Fun in your 20s, but what about in your 50s? Still want to be playing games then? Some women aren't capable of having a long term relationship. The big mistake you are making is having this all be about what you did or didn't do.
/r/ExRedPill27/03/19 04:54 PM
2

This is idiotic. It's just a positive spin on standard PUA stuff. Nothing wrong with that, but please let's tell it as it is.

Red pill guys are anxiously attached I think. Look up attachment theory and how to heal/managed "anxious-preoccupied" insecure attachment style.
/r/ExRedPill26/03/19 03:00 PM

You absolutely should ask. These are important aspects of who she is as a person and it is incredibly important to know those things in order to have an intimate connected relationship. You not asking because you are afraid of what she might say is the worst possible decision. Imho. You gotta know what she is all about (and she has to know your skeletons too) and at any point you have the power to decide where your boundaries are....as does she. Hopefully you both have enough communication, love…

Only damaged people have "backup plans" like redpill guys and the women they date. No judgement, cause I'm a bit damaged too, but the ideal is to work on ones shortcomings rather than lean into them I think....

I really don't like a bunch of self selecting people on the internet deciding the nature of a particular gender. (And usually these questions are about a specific person with that gender, which makes it even worse.) I guess that's my real problem with it. The faux-authority of it all. I very much prefer science, and I think the world would be a better place if other people preferred science as well, but that is just me.

That guy you are arguing with is nuts. Very blue-pill, which I think is actually worse than red pill.

No, I genuinely did think you were acting in bad faith, and I still do, and I'm annoyed at getting a lecture about how the earth is not flat. But it's possible I'm wrong, maybe I was in a bad mood when i read your original comment and i didn't see that it was a genuine attempt to assist said dude's communication skills. I dunno. All good though, I think you understand what I am trying to say.

His argument rests on multiple premises, just because one of the premises is false doesn't mean that his whole argument is false. You said that he "lost all credibility" because his first premise was untrue, and that may be true in your own eyes, but simply because his first premise was false doesn't mean the whole argument is. Tldr: he said something wrong, but that doesn't mean his point is incorrect.

I think you've misunderstood me. I don't perceive smv just by looking, but also by talking to the person and knowing them. Even so, a lot of fashion is about projecting money I think, so there is a bit that can be told "just by looking"
/r/MarriedRedPill16/02/19 10:20 PM
2

Smv isn't just physique in my mind--it is all forms of status....age, money, connections, other women etc. Emotions may be inspired by status, but that isn't the same thing as emotional connection. I'd say emotional connection is knowing and accepting and also feeling known and accepted by another person.
/r/MarriedRedPill16/02/19 08:29 PM
1

I guess that's the core of what I'm struggling with. That's why I'm reading here and asking questions, I still want to believe that I can have actual intimacy and connection and passion with a woman....but perhaps that is a fools errand. We shall see.
/r/MarriedRedPill16/02/19 07:54 PM
1

I'm not 100% understanding you on this, could you define what emotional connection means to you? SMV I get....that is more objective that is on display "in the market" for everyone.
/r/MarriedRedPill16/02/19 07:49 PM
1

Like, you have to work to stay connected and positive....but you feel like you truly do "know" "love" and "accept" one another. It's not just you giving a good performance and making her like you. Is that accurate? Or is it more of a performance?
/r/MarriedRedPill16/02/19 07:47 PM

Do you think that you two are ACTUALLY closer emotionally? Or is it just your smv that has increased?

When you say, "what types of patient/client" .... what exactly do you mean? Men vs women? Or different types or men and women?

Thanks for taking the time to look for the sources--i appreciate that. I suspect that there might be some "correlation is not causation" business going on there--like those relationships were headed for the rocks anyway, but definitely cannot rule out the idea that MC DOES worsen, or hasten the demise of the relationship. I'll keep it in mind.

Hmmm, I've seen schnarch mentioned a couple times in my journeys as well. I'll have to check him out. What are your thoughts on Esther Perel and Helen Fisher? Also authors I've seen mentioned often. EDIT: I want to add, just for the oddity value of this conversation taking place in a red-pill space that Schnarch was reccomended to me by a very insightful divorced lesbian.

Lol, that's true. I guess that's a general problem with having a market system. However, under that logic I tend to trust gottman a bit more than a standard therapist as he works put of a university and so has spent a lot of time insulated from market forces.

Not sure I trust the audience scores here as there have been stories of manipulation. Last jedi was a tragic waste though.
