Can’t seem to leave and need to ventOP, re-evaluate yourself. she's not the problem. all the best, seriously. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/10/24 12:40 AM
Saved marriageNo, she's already decided to do this. She's convinced herself this is better for everyone and will now look to shed responsibility for ending it. Its not about work or chores, she likely doesn't know what mature relationships are like and just wants something new and exciting. Happens all the time these days. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 07:02 PM
'Not in love'I was "just going through the motions"...IE taking care of our kids 80% of the time while she goes to spin class, yoga, spa, Europe with her friends (while unemployed). The expectation is no longer being a good husband and father- it's being an entertainer and social climber to increase their status. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/24 04:54 PM
Soon-to-be Ex-Wife Wasn't Honest About Our Separation with Her Familyfair enough, I wouldn't turn my kids away even if I disagreed with them. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/24 01:06 AM
Soon-to-be Ex-Wife Wasn't Honest About Our Separation with Her FamilyDepends. My STBXW's parents are supporting me over her, and have made it clear they think she has made a huge mistake. They haven't disowned her or anything, but they barely speak. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/24 11:18 PM
Wife is now the breadwinner and wants a divorceyup, sounds familiar. I made 3x her income for more than a decade, and she finally got a big break and was about equal to me. Month after starting she tells me she doesn't know if she wants to be married to me anymore. We went to counseling. Covid happens immediately after, we drop counseling. The next year she begins a weekend MBA program. Parties a lot, spends more time away from the family, while I spend time with the kids (9F/6M). Two years later, she graduates. later the next week, tells me… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/10/24 12:06 AM
“The spark is gone” is a poor reason to leave a marriage.Sorry man. The midlife crisis is very real. My soon to be ex wife grants more headspace than I realized to long ago teenaged boyfriends who dumped her 'traumatically'. I found a journal with long dissertations about them- kids she knew for like 12-18 months of her life. Then a sentence about me that was positive. Then one saying I am like them in too many ways, almost as an afterthought. I didn't intend to read it, I thought it was my notebook...but once I started I couldn't stop. I didn't bring… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 01:30 AM
“The spark is gone” is a poor reason to leave a marriage. And to be clear, I don't hate her at all, she is flawed (like I am) and if this is reality it's reality. Easier said than accepted, but we both have problems and mistakes like humans do. She may be ripping a bandaid off for both of us- and as long as she holds up her end with our children, I will do the same. We all have regrets, but we choose which ones we listen to. I'll never regret my children with her, its just time for another phase in life on this third rock from our sun. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 01:19 AM
“The spark is gone” is a poor reason to leave a marriage.I got basically the same explanation. It sucks, but in hindsight she never had a long term relationship besides me, and was really only into me when I was on the pedestal to her. I spent more than a decade building her up, sacrificing myself to do so because I believed in her and that I owed it to her as a husband, friend, and father of our two kids. When she finally got her big break, she started talking about separating. It is what it is, live and learn. Never sacrificing for anyone ever again… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 12:52 AM
20 years of marriage suddenly ending. I thought we were ok. Anyone been through this? Two kids. Feel like my life is over.yup, going through same thing with my stbxw. she married too young and wants to explore, etc. Two kids one special needs. They'll be happy if we are happy, not modeling love the right way for them, all the reasons. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/08/24 09:22 PM
Turning Pointreading this right now actually. started with 'the surrender experiment'. Guy has led quite an amazing life (people throw amazing around a lot these days, but his story is wild). | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/24 11:56 PM
