Thanks. I agree and I am trying to find better social groups where this isn't a problem. But it is v difficult as alcohol seems to be so deeply woven into the social fabric where i live (in the English countryside). nb these guys I'm talking about are not losers outside the pub, they are all v successful professional guys. I'm sure I will keep running into this situation, hence the question.

I’m one of those newbies you mention. I’m incredibly grateful to the guys who answered my AskTRP questions as comments on my specific situation made a big difference compared to reading a lot of generic advice on the sidebar. It also helps a lot just to share experiences and feel a bit of support and solidarity. With respect to everything you’ve written here, I don’t feel a single concept such as hypergamy comes close to explaining the complexity of my experiences. A bigger problem for me is tha…

Thanks for this. No I wasn't smothering them. Haven't done that since I was 16. Yep they were definitely insane. Problem is, as i mentioned elsewhere, most of them seem to be these days.

haha. yes you're probably right. but it just seems to me that every hot woman I meet these days is flipping mental.

btw, my wife was also superhot and super crazy (only difference with her is she would always make up after any tension/fall out). so that's three in a row relationships with hot crazy women. I'm really starting to think the majority of women get like this, especially as you get older and the women you meet have more time to accumulate baggage! I'm 46 so I can only go so low in getting younger women with less baggage. even ones in their early thirties that i'm dating mostly seem to be mums

Sounds good - thanks mate, much appreciated

Thanks - I really genuinely appreciate that. Given the amount of shit I've had from women over last 20 years (yes 20 years - obviously some good times too mustn't forget), I was starting to feel in a state of despair. This community is a lifeline! This is a massive deal as it's really about unlearning all the things you've been taught since you were a child and it is clearly going to take time. Eg my mum always said to me 'you'll know when you meet "the one" as you'll want to run around after he…

True comfort tests are made in a state of submission, not manipulation. wow, never heard that before that seems very insightful stuff. how can you tell when she's in state of submission or not? could you maybe give an example please?

yep, I think you are spot on there, thanks! But how about when she is saying manipulative shit when she's super moody or stressed out? I've tried jokey stuff like that when a woman was trying to tell me what a bad day she's had and it didn't go down so well! I feel like need some 'serious' strategies too to be more congruous in those situations

Thanks very much. Yes I've read all that stuff about treating her like a child and it seems to work on one level. It definitely worked at the start of last relationship when I told her i was reading the original Grimm stories with my daughter. I told her about the dishonest bratty princess who mistreated the frog, laid it on thick and said if I was the frog I'd be hopping away from that nasty princess pretty quick. She loved that and couldn't wait to tell me how much she disapproved of immoral w…

Yes well that's what started happening to me in my marriage a few years ago until I divorced her. Never again, which is why I had it out with this last one in good time. Step in the right direction, which I figured out for myself although was still quite confused. But now I've discovered redpill I can start formulating some much more effective attitude and strategies! Thanks and RESPECT

Thanks, great advice - I will definitely try this! When you say it's the only way, do you never use jokes then like the other commentators here (and like i do when I'm on form!) Eg, to the marriage thing I said 'Ok let's elope tomorrow' (agreeing and amplifying before I even knew that was a thing!). Also if I'd thought about it I might have said to the pressure thing 'but I AM going to pressure you when you get here - are you ready to be massaged to within an inch of your life?'... That stuff do…

Thanks for this message - it has really stayed with me and I think is going to have a big influence in future! Even though this woman was way more intelligent than me and earned way more money than me (I'm certainly not saying she was low value to society generally), it's so true in the sense that she was emotionally feeble. She was constantly doing low value things like trying to make me jealous, constant little controlling and mind games and trying to act like she didn't need me, though she cl…

Thanks for this post. Fascinating! How do you even meet women under 30? I mostly date women online as I feel too creepy going to a bar or whatever - not really into that anymore, plus I live in the country anyway. But I only get interest from women who are 5-10 years younger than me, hardly ever in their 20s. I do meet and 'bang' quality women (for their age) in this bracket, though not as frequently as you by sounds of things - respect! Yep the qualifying stuff is good and it's interesting and …

The main one is 'Way of the Superior Man' by David Deida. The others I was thinking of were standard PUA stuff like Mystery, but not sure if they are so relevant to an LTR. Actually when you read a lot of books on, say, attachment theory, which I have since last break up, they say a similar thing really about interpreting the weird ways people express their need for a security and feeling of safety! You just need to realise that deep down this is all about their insecurity, not about you at all.…

Thanks. Yes I totally do. I would never have an LTR with someone unless she was super cute, sexy, intelligent, cultured and treats me well. Part of my problem is that these are increasingly rare in my age range! I have to put a lot of work in to find them so it's natural when I do to want to hang on to her really. The problem of course is that they know that too...! I'm starting to realise that I have to subtly keep letting them know that I'm qualifying them even when in an established relations…

Thanks. Yes I think there is some truth in that thing about narcissism. But re your last paragraph - I dont feel like I was forcing anything. my last two girlfriends said stuff like they're in crazy in love with me; no-ones ever made them feel this way; they want to marry me etc. Am I wrong in taking these as indicators that it has a high probability of working out longer term? Maybe I am as then one little thing goes wrong and a few days later, I'm getting a text saying they're breaking up with…

Thanks - this is all new to me. But yes you're right I absolutely do need to learn that discipline. So if you have any more advice on how to do that without spending a lot on professional help I would very much appreciate it.

Sorry I've been pressing the wrong reply buttons. Doh! Bainbridge, yes i know you are right to point that out. I have developed baggage from a few messed up previous relationships and some other tough life experiences. I've had a bit of counselling and done a lot of reading to try and address that recently. But the more help and advice, the better. So thanks for your comment I appreciate it.

Hi, thanks for your comment, I appreciate it. yes i have been reading a lot of stoicism already. I also do have a great career, friends and hobbies but still didn't help on this occasion. Like I said this is all a new experience to me, so I'm just trying to work on different ways to deal with it

Hi, Yes I know that and I have been doing a lot on it in last few months, but you're right to point it out anyway, thanks

Just want to add to this quickly – I’d already read ‘Way of superior man’ and other books about how to deal with testing. I told myself I was just going to be a rock and let the tides of her emotion wash against me as he describes it. I told myself ‘what the hell is your problem – you’ve a beautiful girlfriend who loves you’. But none of it worked. The fear emotion was too powerful and also the severity of their testing was so intense, it just made me freeze up. Also I felt a lot of anger at how…
